- Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd described the death of an 18-month-old child who was left in a hot car overnight after a Fourth of July party in Lakeland as tragic.
In a news conference, Sheriff Judd said Jazmine Rondon, 33, and Joel Rondon, 33, went to a Fourth of July party in Downtown Lakeland. According to PCSO, the couple went to sleep around 3 a.m., and neither confirmed if the 18-month-old was brought inside. PCSO said Joel and Jazmine were tested for drugs around 7 p.m. on July 5 by the Department of Children and Families. Joel tested positive for meth, marijuana and alcohol. Jazmine tested positive for marijuana and alcohol.
PCO charged both Joel and Jazmine with aggravated manslaughter of a child.
Every year we have children and pets die a tortured death in hot cars. Heartbreaking and infuriating when caregivers do not do their jobs!! Thank you for caring honesty, Grady Judd. The world could use thousands of more men like you!

I couldn't watch this whole video. I'm a grandfather. But myself and wife, and my kids would ever leave our kids in a car. If our kids no matter what age unless at home with a sitter, If they couldn't be with us, we couldn't go. It was as simple as that. Both of those should be charged with murder, torture and anything else they could think of. Just totally sickening. And who in the hell goes to sleep without checking your baby first.
Start giving the parents that do this the same treatment, and see if it doesn't stop.

We had a case like this , in Arkansas. The dad went out, looking or mushrooms, and was gone or hours. It was so hot in the car, that the poor baby, pulled her hair out , before she died. It is heartbreaking.

The assumption that the child had been taken into the house. So, the father goes to sleep. The child had a one-hundred- and five-degree core temperature inside the car. Why do people that are known to be drug addicts have children? Father has a history with the police. If the father had checked to make sure the baby was in the house. He did not. The car was 135 to 175 degrees inside the car. It was an awful situation for the baby.
Drug addiction has nothing to do with this. Having children is a human right.
I worked with drug addicted parents throughthe foster care system and had a mother tell me she could never be on the pill because she never knew what day it was so she would not know if she took her pill or not. She had a child taken from her from the hospital by DCF and she eventually gave up her parental rights becaue she said she knew she would never be clean in the time frame they gave her to get clean which was a year. She did get the implant for birth control so at least that was something.
@@AR15andGOD If you had ever held a baby withdrawing from the mother's choice of addiction you would not feel that she had the right to have that baby. One of our babies was born addicted to NINE different substances. This should not happen. SHe literally did not have the right to have that baby. She is lucky her baby lived. She eventually lost custody and the baby was adopted by the foster parents.
I pray for Sheriff Judd, his staff and family continue to have the heart, stomach and physical capacity to endure their call from The Almighty. If not them, then WHO? Pray for their strength, perseverance and TRIUMPH over the evil attempting to overthrow our Republic. The Almighty hears our prayers.

My car has an alarm that when I open the back seat to put the baby inside but if I don’t open it back after I get out of the vehicle it doesn’t stop the alarm until I open the backseat
Who tf takes their babies partying with them then no doubt drive home drunk and leave their baby in the car unoticed for hours!! You cant tell me theres not been neglect before this. I dont even want to think what that precious baby went through. Who doesnt check on all their children before they go to bed? I checked on my son until the day he left home id knock on his door on my way to bed to male sure he was ok amd didnt need anything before i went to sleep.

I’m sorry me and my husband have done this. You get the baby and then he tell me to get the baby and he thought I got the baby, but we STILL made sure that one of us got the baby. There is no excuse. I just don’t understand how you feed the kids and put them to sleep without knowing that you left the baby in the car. Do they not make sure all there kids are safe in the bed before laying down? Does she not make sure the babies diaper is fresh and she’s got her pajamas on before laying down? As a mother I MAKE sure all my kids are safe and in bed before going to bed myself. I even make sure the ladder is out of the pool before laying down (that’s my biggest fear right now is that my two year old will get in the pool).

They were lucky in that driving drunk didn't wipe out the entire family!

Here in Minnesota where our temps can get extremely low, -20 to -50F, I've never heard of anyone leaving a child in the car to freeze solid. We can't leave anything in the car that we don't want to explode or freeze solid. In the summer we always leave windows cracked just to keep air flow & prevent our stuff from melting. What in the hell is wrong with people down south? I know there are so ER folks who have roasted their kids in the car. Like the TX woman who left her 5 yr old son in the car to roast in the driveway last year- while she and her daughter went in the house to plan her bday party. I feel like Minnesotans are very conscientious about leaving anything in the car year round... and we have plenty of junkies here in MN 🤔😏
