"And the child?"
"........we left him"
Oh man...
They had to maintain the lie
Did they have to? 😕
@@datacomic4505 I wonder why they did 🤔
That was so wrong...IT brings vengeance to that kid
@Courtie Shay And that worked wonderfully for the boy, and years later for the kingdom in the climax of the movie 😅.
I AM YOUR KING NOW!!
You could tell he didn't want to pull that card.
True but he was pissed off because this guy and his father didn't just lied to him they lied to EVERYONE.
Reminds me of when aquaman takes the throne in the comics.
N’Jadaka was the only one who discovered the truth
Had too he had too .....lol fr fr
chadwick boseman nailed this stoic but kind hearted king portray. most people thinks he was only good at civil war. but this movie full of his amazing moments
T'challa didn't want to admit it, but he knew his father made a mistake and you can see it on Chadwick's face. Man, what a great scene.
T'Chalka was a great king and a basically good man, but like all men, he was human and made mistakes. The point is that the man he raised "T'Challa sought to right the wrong and lead his nation into the 21st century without fear. That speaks to the good father that T'Chaka was!
I couldn't agree with you more on that statement. T'Challa had become disgusted of his father's actions for choosing Wkanda's protection over Erik and the rest of the world. You can see how he has come to make a better decision to make Wakanda be part of the Society of Nations insteand being an isolated nation during the UN meeting.
I don't see a mistake. Should he have just let his brother murder one of their own in cold blood?
@@BruteStrength99 he was the black Panther he could hsbr disarmed him without killing him. Infact, he did knock away the gun successfully, and chose to kill him afterwards. And even if you can make excuses for that, he left his nephew alone in the street to fend for himself

This makes Erik's rise more impressive than I realized. The guy saw his own dad die in front of him and his mom was in prison. He didn't fall into a life of crime or simply wallow in depression. He turned that anger into drive and sharpened his mind and body to become a prodigy in the military. That's the kind of focus that in other stories might even create a superhero, like Batman.
Differences are that Bruce had people around him to ground his sanity, especially a surrogate family member, and he was never lied to of his origins
@Eight Loco that too
Except Killmonger did what a coward did, not a king. He burned all the heart-shaped herbs! And now that T’Challa is dead… how will the Black Panther rise again? 😢
He destroyed the fruit that’ll connect them to Bast.
Difference is he had different motives way, way different motives
@Eight Loco aka Batman has privilege. Killmonger has nothing but himself and himself alone.

My favorite part of the movie. RIP KING 😭
The saddest shot in the movie is young Erik holding his father's body
In my opinion i think its when he looks up at the space ship in dead silence. He looks at it like its something cool and cant wait to tell his dad, not knowing that he will walk into a room with a dead father in it.
It was just like how T'Challa held T'Chaka when he died
He knew Wakanda killed him. He saw the ship. Njobu told Erik all about Wakanda and even where it was. So he knew. And he knew he wanted revenge.
N’Jadaka was so young. It’s all T’Chaka fault Erik turned evil
The Fantasmagorical Zodac He also wanted to take over Wakanda
it's messed up how T'Chaka didn't bring his brother's body back to Wakanda for a proper burial. instead he just left him there for Erik to find. :(
And to top it all off he left Erik there without taking him with them
I understand why he didn't take Erik with him. Erik's mother was still alive. So she should have custody.
Did they ever say that in the movie? I don't remember. And was she serving a life sentence?
@@TheStapleGunKid the films directors said she was in prison and probably
Well that really should have been established in the movie itself. You can't just expect the audience to assume that.
“We left him” 😰 Heartbreaking
The only thing worse than abandoning a child is killing one
I can think of other worse things
Yeah should’ve taken him so he could grow up to become a Wakandan military leader or something cause the dude is a strategical and tactical genius.
@@BiggusDickus. and who do you think he’s gonna use it on when he learns the truth?
A monster of t’chaka’s making 🥺🥺
Years later the past finally catches up to Zuri and he payed the price with his life (yes T'Chaka was the one who killed his brother N'Jobu but since T'Chaka is dead because of Zemo, Zuri had to be the one to pay the price)
Apparently when T'Chaka said "Victory at the cost of the innocent is no victory at all" he was thinking of N'Jadaka.
agenttheater5 This was one act of hypocrisy I wasn’t expecting.
he know what he did. he saw his opportunity and took it
Yeah, I don't think he was but watching this movie does show him as the hypocrite he was. Killed his own brother when he didn't have to and left his nephew to fend for himself in a country where he had no one.
I was surprised this film made me cry. The exchange "And the child?"
......"We left him"
Imagine how that child felt?.....losing his father, murdered, by the people his father said lived in his homeland of paradise? And left there to fend on his own?.....No wonder he feels the way he does, and how sad because his father is right...he is lost.
T'Challa's expression when hearing those words was priceless!
If only T'Chaka knew that killing his brother and leaving his nephew behind would create a monster
I feel bad for Killmonger
Nah, It doesn't excuse him.
The casting for T'Challa and T'Chaka was perfect. They really look like father and son more than any film I've seen that's tried to tell a story like this.

Black Panther (2018) director Ryan Coogler revealed on the commentary that Killmonger's mother was in prison and in fact, died there, hence why he was an orphan. Furthermore, the plan N'Jobu and Zuri were going over before T'Chaka's visit at the beginning of the film was a plan to spring Killmonger's mom out of prison.

Rest In Peace Black Panther 🕊
You will always be our black panther
This is the most surface level comment I've ever seen
Love and peace to Chadwick best black panther ever I don’t give a damn who disagrees
I think the reason why this movie is so powerful to black people, aside from black panther being the main hero is that the bad guys are well written. N'Jobu points out the social injustice faced by the black community but the audience knows that his plans aren't the right way to solve the problem
Giving the power of vibranium to people who have never had it would just create more chaos.
Matthew Cutler True. Remember when Ultron said "the most versatile substance on the planet and they used it to make a frisbee?" If N'Jobu and Klaw were to have exposed the full capabilities of vibranium all hell would've broken loose. Every nuclear bomb on the planet would've been aimed at Wakanda and it would have been WWIII with all the great powers battling to get as much of it for themselves as possible. All, mind you, before the Avengers even existed.
Also when Tchaka kills Njobu, it's a metaphor for black on black crime. Brothers killing their brothers.
SERGIO BACA You must not have read the comments before the one you just made, did you? Potentially starting the next world war AND sacrificing your people because your pissed does NOT make you a hero and Killmonger was a tragic figure but no hero at all.
@SERGIO BACA Yes they want to help black people but their way of doing so is not right. They want Wakanda to take over the world so that black people won't have to live in suffer but if that happen then WWIII will broke out.
It’s more impactful to realize this was LA in 1993. Which means “the hatred he saw there” was the 1992 riots. A terrible thing to see. Knowing an entire city was consumed by racial indifference and injustice, but being told to only “observe.”

I feel like T’Chaka understood what N’jobu was trying to do and why he was doing it but his method was extreme and he also knew it would put Wakanda in danger if more of the outside world knew what they were capable of
TChaka already decided Wakanda would not interfere. Period.
Fantastical Mystical Zodac Point taken
Even though zuri KNEW that N'jobu wife was arrested and they had a son that's why in the beginning they were planning the breakout to free her but thanks to Zuri informing T'Chaka pretty much destroyed the plan she died in prison why Eric was all alone
Plus around this time Hydra was hiding in SHIELDS ranks. If the wakanda had been revealed before Hydra’s inevitable destruction by the hands of what little was left of SHIELD after the event of the winter soldier, they would’ve used Wakandan technology for their own corrupt schemes
N'Jobu also betrayed Wakanda by telling Klaue how to get into the country and steal the vibranium right from the mines, something that resulted in the deaths of Wakandan citizens who tried to prevent it. The Tribal Council would have probably sentenced him to death for it anyway.
*“I AM YOUR KING NOW!”*

Chadwick Boseman's delivery of every line is amazing, but especially "I am your king now!" and "And the child?" Those in particular are so powerful. A true talent.
How does someone kill their own brother and leave their son, their nephew, behind? I don’t know how that helps protect his country either.

@@martinukpai7838 I truly believe it was really my ancestors' fault why they ended up like that. I know it's just a movie but that scene makes me question in horror how many families did my ancestors ruin in order to get powerful? Not to mention slaves. I am a monster. If black-skinned regard me as such then I don't blame them for doing so. I was bullied for even lesser reasons but they should know this. I won't stop trying to help them in any way I can even if this might make me look like a douchebag. I'm not only doing this out of sympathy towards black people or because of the guilt for the crimes of my ancestors. But also because I like to help people in general. So that they can change for the better and one day we will able to live together in true peace and harmony. At least that's what I'd like to believe.
@@SonySlasher2468 its wisest not to blame yourself (in theory) because you had no direct say so with this current orchestra of confusion.
Any human being born post emancipation was so thoroughly hypnotized with the World Order that right and wrong was purely based on the communities you were brought up in.
As for the year 2022, in the current World Order, everyone is participating in a 3 category cast reality:
1. The Architect (the holders/possessors of historical and categorical truths to be used for personal benefit)
2. The Indoctrinated (displaced humans who are spoils of war that have been intentionally withheld from truths for others benefits)
3. The Assimilator (ones who have uncovered the truths, but are willful unwilling participants in this world's order out of a sequencing fear for their life's well-being)
None of them can live in absolute peace and harmony.. which in turn reflects the sheer gravity of a ppl who, by every condition in Wakanda, are fully aware of the truths and reality of the world order at large, and still find themselves being affected by the force of perception/deception.
My advice would be not to help outwardly, but to engage in an Internal/Spiritual/Metaphysical Exorcism daily to completely pronounce to your soul that righteousness will rule this world again through ME!!!
let the God in you take full governance of your thoughts so your words can spark a series of deliberate actions to form habits that transform behavior, which by the will of the universe, will begin the pendulum of rerouting this world's ultimate destiny!
peace and blessings to you sister Sonja!!
@@martinukpai7838 Thank you for your blessing 🙌 But can't the 2nd and 3rd groups work together so that they can overcome the 1st group and then working on ensuring peace and harmony? It might not be perfect but it would be better than the current world order.
@@SonySlasher2468 the odds of that participation is, currently, so out of reach because #1 has, as it always has, masterfully configured a "reality" that has pit #2 against #3!
Truthfully.. #3 (who has a reasonable amount of knowledge) has to be willing to sacrifice their current earthly rank IN ORDER to successfully earn the trust of #2.. who have every human right not to trust anybody.
#3 has to become that example of open opposition on every level of human reality for #2 to at the very least see to believe.
The application of this is so simply yet so challenging in the same breath.

So Much Deep TRUTH That it hurts....
Sw1zT1m3 True, but N’Jobu’s idea on how to address it was radical and dangerous. Once the world finds out about Wakandan technology and what vibranium is capable of, all hell will break loose. When Wakanda subjugates all the other countries, they will respond. Not to mention the risk of vibranium weapons falling into the hands of terrorist organizations. As Ross warned T’Challa in a deleted scene of Black Panther, “What you guys have is going to scare a lot of people in that room, they’re gonna come after you”.
@@montgomeryscott5657 No means of fighting comes without loss, no pain no gain. War is not pretty, but sometimes necessary. The white race has strived to get into the positions they've had historically by taking the risks, fighting against all odds and taking what they wanted. Was that being radical in their thinking?! Sometimes to most times, the only thing people understand is force. And the only thing they respect is strength. N'Jobu was right. He just took the mentality of his enemies and weaponized it against them. Killmonger was more than willing to enact on his father's teachings even further. Because Wakanda was far superior to any other power of defense on earth. Also because it's a black country, they wouldn't believe it to be possible. So a lot of other countries wouldn't see it coming until it was too late. Giving them little to no time to respond! Had Killmonger's mission succeeded, no other country would have stood a chance. Would there be death, devastation and destruction? Yes. But if history has taught us anything, you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs!! Nope. Malcolm X wasn't a murderer.
Incorrect. Malcolm was never armed and never planned any revolution. The closest Black American comparison would be the Black Liberation Army. But there plans were very small in scope and they were not an army. BLA were not planning what Njobu planned to do. Njobu was a revolutionary who planned global overthrow.
If you wanna pit the end of their years in perspective he was more like MLK. Malcolm was very peaceful by time he was killed and MLK broke away from the organizations making him preach non violence and was telling people to shut shit down by any means
Even Malcolm had his own moral limits. If the Black community decided to turn on the world then the world that oppresses them would have more than enough reason to strike harder.

Love you forever, Chadwick!!! Rest in power!!!
Fun Fact: Atandwa Kani, the actor who plays the younger version of King T'Chaka, is the son of actor John Kani, the actor who plays the elderly version of King T'Chaka.

@@kartikadewi3270 What?
@@disneyrules7808 the real name.
@@kartikadewi3270 I typed that in the comment.
Poor Zuri he didn’t want any of this to happen but he was only doing his duty and tried his best to bring his majesty King T’Challa cousin home after his uncle was killed but still it was tragic that King T’Challa father refused it when he shouldn’t because while Erik is an outsider he’s still a child and he needs protection for the time until he’s old enough to look after himself right MCU fans if you get my point right
Zuri: I promised the King to not say nothing
T'Challa: I AM YOUR KING NOW!!!!!
😳😳😳😳😳😳
T’Chaka’s uniform is phenomenal
*A King Once Lived. A King Still Lives.*
Damn that was sad killing your own brother
This was probably the most painful thing T'Chaka had ever done, killing his brother which you can see crushed him and leaving his nephew behind like that.
N'Jobu betrayed his country. He helped a terrorist sneak into Wakanda to steal vibranium, foolishly thinking that the vibranium would be used for good. As a result of his actions, many of his own people were killed. Had he been brought to face the council, he would've most likely been executed for treason. Pulling a gun on another wakandan as well only escalated the situation. N'Jobu may have been right to want to help those facing injustice, but in all other things he was wrong, and for that I feel that his death was justified. King T'Chaka however, while justified in protecting a spy and executing a traitor (even if it was his own brother) was NOT justified in leaving N'Jadaka behind. N'Jadaka needed a home, a family, and he was innocent of his fathers crimes. This was one of T'Chaka's very big mistakes. His other mistake, as his son would point out, was to turn his back on the rest of the world.
Not justified.
This is some of the best parts of the movie. It shows Wakanda isn't all perfect as it seems and understading Killmonger's actions despite not being fully justifiable.
Its interesting how a parental figure death plays a role in so many comic origin stories. In another world, this story would have been how Killmonger became the protaganist. Depending on who you ask, he actually IS.
Deep inside T'chaka always wanted his son to have the throne. That's why he didn’t took Eric. Shame, karma is a bitch.
He just started as t'challa and his character just became king. Would've been an amazing trilogy. We love and miss you R.I.P Chadwick Boseman
"What happened to the child?"
"Child?... Oh, crap."
R.I.P. CHADWICK
Watching this in the wake of everything happening right now
It’s making our virus problems worse
The way he said I am your king now was amazing RIP Chadwick
From this scene going forward, the plot gets super complex. One reason why I consider BP to be one of the MCU’s best movies! Seeing T’Chalia go through this broken pedestal of his father is worst than Thor with his father Odin!
Gotta wonder why they even lied in the first place. Yes njobu was a prince but he legit pulled a weapon in front of the king. Do that with any position of power you ain’t having a good time.
Great scene heart felt. I love this movie
I AM YOUR KING NOW
I felt that rip Chadwick 🙏
He already knocked the gun away, he didn’t have to kill him.
Possibly a revenge for killing fellow civilians.
Rip🕊
Being privileged for so long and being safe all the time and then going to Oakland in the 80’s. What a change to see. Being so helpless not being able to help people, but knowing the place you grew up has the tools to help but won’t because of being afraid of being exposed. It would make anyone go mad.
This scene is the best acting in the whole MCU and its not really close. God DAMN
This scene has more art than mcu
3:10 From an alternate universe on...
Zuri: "What about the boy?"
T'Chaka: "We should leave him."
Zuri: "I don't think that's a good idea-"
T'Chaka: "We should take him with us."
Hishie
I’m just here to say rip Chadwick boseman 😭😭
In Loving Memory Of Our King
Chadwick Aaron Boseman
(11/29/1976-8/28/2020)
The way T'challa looks at Zuri after he says "we left him" makes it look like he's thinking "I don't even know who you are"
The dude legit was trying to shoot black panther in full armor with a gun.
He was aiming at Zuri
Tchalla was like I’M YOUR GODDAMN KING NOW
