Really nice tidbit here that T'Chaka was about to change his views of the outside world and extend Wakanda's help until the explosion happened.
Paul Babon it’s funny how in black panther king t’chaka said we must hide from the outside world and not share our resources but in civil war it almost sound as if he’s going to not only help the rest of the world but even use there weapons outside of wakanda wich king t’chaka and t’chala felt deeply about using weaponry outside of wakanda I just find this to be annoying that there motives change in literal months in the mcu
?? Black panther takes place after civil war I’m pretty sure after all this happened he had the idea to not let vibranium get into the wrong hands so a situation like this couldn’t have been worse
I think the Wakanda the he meant to say in his UN's speech is worl'ds view of Wakanda, the third world country only crowded by farms, that's going to help to support the Sokovia accords, the futuristic Wakanda, however won't help.
Paul Babon correct
Dude, he didnt go back on his views after he died lmao. Besides, this was just pure tragic coincidence the man that caused this explosion was on a psychotic vengeance mission, nothing to do with him being an outsider.
Still can’t believe he’s gone. RIP, Bast and Sehkmet Chadwick. Wakanda Forever.
Maybe tomorrow we’ll all wear 42 that way they won’t tell us apart
Great words from pee wee Reese

I'm so sad about this. May he rest in peace and God give his family comfort in their hearts. 💔☹️🙏
His last words were "peace", that can't be a coincidence.

I love T'Challa. He's a favourite of mine in the MCU. He stands for what is right, he learns from his errors and he grows. The way he handled both Bucky and Killmonger was remarkable. The man has sympathy, empathy, compassion and maturity in spades. Love him!

After watching this movie again, it reminded me that Black Widow was the ONLY Avenger that apologized for the collateral damage and the deaths that occurred in Nigeria and even went to Vienna despite being uncomfortable. This gave me more respect for her. Obviously what happened was unintentional, but apologizing and owning up to a mistake can at least start the healing process. I think that was something Captain America should have done.
Oh man Chadwick Boseman. Rest in Power. Our Black Panther.
Exactly, Bucky also should have.
Just imagine Bucky being ready for death because he killed Tony's parents without him knowing he did it.

Chadwick is the GOAT man... I'm so ready for him to take on an oscar winning role! He has played so many incredibly important characters! Acting chops are off the charts
@Samanthaflower there are otherd who deserve it morr
Esmund well no, not in my opinion. Jordan has a MAJOR credibility problem. When Chadwick acts, I believe everything he says and does. When Jordan acts, it’s mweh.. He does have amazing moments once in a while, I liked his scene in Creed II where he’s in the hospital telling Rocky: “Look at me man.”

T’Challa: “Two people in a room, can get more done than a hundred.”
T’chaka: “Unless you need to move a piano.”
Think about what this means.
What does it mean
"You eat babies."
DavidtheSavagez It means that while consensus in a smaller group might be easier, some problems require that many people work together to fix.
It means that it takes more than two Wakandans to move a piano.

It is absolutely insane how much is accomplished in 3 minutes here. The character building is so efficient.
It's interesting seeing T'Challla hold his father after he died like how Killmonger held his dad when he was killed by T'Chaka
True that. And you can also hear T'Challa whisper "baba", twice. He is saying father, in his distraught over losing him.

2:06 - 2:08 shows how heroic T’Challa was, and how much loyalty and love he had for his family. Instead of ducking down, he charges straight for his father to try and save him. Incredible moment.
Rest in peace, Chadwick Boseman.
Don't forget to mention how he could have just immediately ran and tackled T'Chaka, but he made sure to tell EVERYONE they need to take cover.
Fun fact: T'Chaka speaking IsiXhosa was not a choice by the directors, but a natural development of the actor speaking it as a first language. It was then canonically made the language of Wakanda in the MCU (slightly incongruous with the location of Wakanda, between Kenya and Ethiopia on Lake Tanganyika. The people in that area speak Swahili).
Uncle Ben all over again

It's a Wakandan thing I guess
I think it's a normal people's thing
Yep, and both wanted revenge. The differences are how they reacted to it: T'Challa eventually realized the futility of the cycle of revenge, realizing that violence only begets more violence, whilst Killmonger was so consumed by his desire to get revenge that he became no better than those who he deemed oppressors.

@@jarodon6511 Yeah. I just realized that.
Chadwick Boseman was amazing. In the four years he played "Black Panther," he was deathly ill every single one of them, and yet he still came through. That's true strength.
T'Chala warned others just in time to save most people in the room, but that cost him the time to save his father. I would miss Chadwick. His character always had that aura that would make anyone who looks at him, respect him.
Chadwick Boseman died today. He was 44. The Black Panther has passed away.

I found it bizarre how Zemo "Didn't intend" to Kill T'Chaka. Psychotic Bastard set off a bomb, what did he think was going to happen?
That's why I was silently hoping throughout the whole movie T'challa WOULD kill Zemo, but After seeing black Panther and Civil War, I realized the moment he spared him was the moment he truly EARNED the throne of wakanda.

Asfal Tochgrus you can crawl with your hands and feet
One scene. All it took was this one scene to translate the love and admiration T'Challa had for his dad and the love and pride T'Chaka had for his son. So much so, that the emotion you feel when T'Challa sees his father again in the ancestral plane in the next movie 2018's "Black Panther," you remember this feeling and makes their reunion so much more meaningful. That scene doesn't work without this scene. T'Challa realized his father was right; death is not the end. That's the mark of excellent, subtle acting and storytelling.
At 1:00 , "That is the future calling" had more weight than anyone would've expected. Pretty good writing right there.
I have a different perspective after seeing Black Panther. Actually saddening. At the time I was like that stinks but eh but after seeing Black Panther I was like 😭

“We will not let misfortune drive us back..”
That message is even more true when you watch Endgame
Interesting fact here that I read today as Ryan Coogler memorialized Chadwick. The actor who played T'Chaka is a famous South African actor named John Kani. Kani is a Xhosa native speaker and when Chadwick heard it he convinced the director that this should be the official Wakanda dialect. Even better is that Chadwick learned these lines quickly in Xhosa despite never having spoken it before. Just shows in yet another way how amazing of an actor and person he was. He will be sorely missed.
T'Challa is a tragic hero. In this scene he managed to save everyone's lives in that room except for his father's.
Seeing this after Black Panther makes a lot more sense now. T'Challa, in a desperate effort to redeem himself from not saving his father in time, uses split second timing to throw himself over the explosive landmine and still survive.
Strong emotions here! Chadwick was so amazing here. The love a son has for his father.
