Would I recommend to buy this? Eh, If you are gonna trade up for JB4 after? No. 200$ is alittle too high in my opinion for the gains shown in the video.

200$ for extra 20hp is definitely worth it the jb4 is close to $500.. that gives about 50 to 60 hp with 80 to 100 FT. Their both worth it.
Maybe not if you're looking for more low end power...because according to this video, you have to be really up there to feel a difference

I had the JB+ for my N54 4.5 years ago and enjoyed it for the time I had it.

I bought a used one on a Bimmer forum for $125 and love it. I've used it on my 328i and friend's 640i. I think it was worth $200 and definitely worth $125.
I also felt it across the entire rpm range.
Love what you've done to your 328, but have to disagree on this opinion. 😎
To be honest, an intake cost average $500, a catback exhaust cost average $1000, and they give what ? 5hp combined ? I personally think $200 for actual 30hp is insane value lol.

I originally started with a JB+. the great part of them is that you can exchange it for a JB4 and they give the 200$ back for the purchase of a JB4. Great way to test this out

Shumile Swift yes, I was just giving my opinion on why I think it's worth it. It's like testing water for a JB4. I didn't want to get a JB4 at start, I was like what if I pay 400$ for 15hp lol.

Did you know the JB+ comes out of the box with +3 and that you can unscrew the back of the JB+ and inside you will find a dial where you can turn it to “+4” for more power. Most people don’t know about this.
But yes, the JB4 is definitely a better purchase over the JB+.
How does the +4 race tune feel in terms of Power and TQ?
Do you have to take it off of the engine entirely or can you just unscrew the top and change the dial?

Just to mention that the dme can now be unlocked via the obd2 so now things like a jb4 and unlocking the dme by it taking it out is now kinda obsolete.

I completely disagree. How much did you spend on your intake? Downpipe? Exhaust? How much gains do you think those produced relative to their cost? The JB+ is really a great value, especially in the tuning world. For $200, you can yield 30-50hp/torque. It's essentially a stage 1 mild tune. That is a STEAL. What else would you have your fans buy to get as much gains as possible at that price point? I love your videos though, keep them coming!

I can't see any reason to get it over the Jb4. Anyone willing to spend (waste) money on an intake, has no excuse not to. For so much more in return.

MPPK is a good option also, and doesn't void the warranty. I m hesitating to go with BM3 tune not knowing if I can feel the difference from MPPK.
It highly annoys me that people are comparing this to JB4.
JB4 changes A LOT of things in your car.
JB+ changes the amount of boost. Thats it.
THEREFORE, i would highly recommend JB+ if you are running a SOFTWARE tune.
It’s interesting you say it’s not worth the $200, with a 1/2 second improvement in 0-60/80. Yet people will gladly shell out $500 for a intake that only gets them a couple extra hp (without other bolt ons and a tune) that makes almost no difference in 0-60 times since the stock intake is already a CAI.
I think it’s a good deal for the money considering they’ll credit you back 100% if you upgrade to JB4.
But my question is will there be a bit more power gain if you use a JB+ with an aftermarket intake and/or exhaust?
Over one-tenth of a second is a significant bump for $200. No question about it. Very few mods can get that much power for the price.. although the JB4 will still be the best bang for your buck..
Also it was pretty good vid. Idk why everyone is giving you a hard time for talking too fast. Thought you did just fine. In fact, I preferred your speed.
i have one and i think it is definitely worth the 200. my 335i is noticeably faster. I had some teething problems due to another issue( set screws on my aftermarket charge pipe worked their way out) but for 2oo. its well worth it. Davey knows ! There is an increase of power across the rpm range. I dont think your test was in any way accurate!
Hey man, I've loved watching your content for a long time, and really enjoy it! But for a point of criticism, i would recommend like less constant repetitive vloggy music. Cause that stuff is annoying and already all over youtube, so I think something different would make your videos even more engaging :) keep it up tho man love what you do here!

There's only a one-year upgrade allowance for going to the JB4 after the purchase of the JB+.

i have just got the n55 135i bmw i did some tuning on it intake filter, BOV, etc but i have no idea abot this JB+ or JB4 things I did many research but the didn't explain enough can you please explain what the heel is that thing please

I have the BMS Stage1 and I think is the best $379 spent. What you get in terms of power for the $ is great! Had to remove it for a week for state inspection and I hate how weak my engine is now! My 2 cents!

Yeah, I know it's an old vid but...pick up a tenth 0-60 and more than 2 tenths 0-80. Quarter mile would probably get over 3 tenths. Drag racers I know would kill to pick 3 tenths in a race for $200. Literally thousands are spent picking up that kind of power!

Just get the 650$ JB4 or do a custom tune which is obviously going to run you at a high price I’m looking to get my f30 tuned for a crackle/burble and performance tune I’m looking at a solid 1200 dollar tune... fuck it I’m gonna probably do it soon it does pop quite a lot already but with this tune it’ll be insane if you want to invest into a custom tune I would recommend it.

The pull that you feel is not hp but torque
JB plus gives one more hp than an air intake EVER will and you’ll pay way more for it
Would it be a bigger difference in the 320i? It has the same engine as the 328 but it’s detuned by around 50 hp.

Just installed the JB+ and got Drivetrain Malfunction, removed it and all is normal, reinstalled it and problem is back, gotta figure this out lol

A tune. Long story short it increases the boost and fuel consumption in your engine to make more horsepower and torque thus making your car faster
Love your videos, and i believe you said you had Mike program launch control, but then it stopped working. Is it working for you now? I contacted him through IG, and he sent me the doc with all of the options they can program, however it says you need a 2014+ BMW to get it, when you and I both have 2013s. Who or how did you get it? Get it, the power you will get from exhaust and intake is not even close to what the tune will give you. But if you have those two bolt on, you will get more response with the tune.

Antonio Eduardo de Campos It does. Put the suspension in Sport+, move the shifter into Drive Sport, left foot mash the brake, right foot mash the throttle, car will say Launch Control Active in the instrument cluster screen, lift your foot off the brake with the throttle pinned and away you go.

Did it make your check engine light pop up?
It’s ya boi it did. My car went into limp mode. I had to adjust the boost dial and it was fine. This doesn’t work well with additional mods installed on the car. I would highly recommend the JB4 over this if you have other mods on your car. i.e. catback exhaust, short ram intake, ...etc

Bms stage 1 is jb+
the jb+ is different from a stage 1, bms offers an actual stage 1 tune that requires more connections than just what was done in the video. then after stage 1 you upgrade to jb4. thats basically how the tunes go

Shumile Swift what intake do you have installed mate? Never knew intakes make a difference to speed only thought it’s for sound. Also are you aware that a jb+ has a setting on the box in which you can adjust the psi levels with the max being on 4 for the highest boost?
Then the JB+ doesn't do much for you. You do need the JB4 and then goto stage 2, which would make a huge difference for your car.

I have a 320i and jb+. Deff worth it. A lot less turbo lag, way better throttle response. Great driving improvement felt. I even had my buddy drive the car before and after, and he agrees as well. (And he drives a full bolt ons tuned chevy SS) Best $200 spent for me.
I agree with Lorenzo, installed it on my f22 220i couple weeks ago. Best $200 spent for me too!
O and if you're someone who floors it all the time, i don't think the jb+ will make much of a difference in terms of the feel it gives. But if you're a relatively tame driver looking to pick up some boost at the lower end of the RPM band, then jb+ is worth getting imo.
