Great video 👌🏻. I've been using the JB4 G5 ISO tune for 3 1/2 years now and have 144k miles on my 335i. Over 55k miles have been driven on my car while using this tune. 0 issues over that time period and enjoy the product, customer support, etc, with Burger Motorsports!

Yea jb4 is definitely the most bang for buck mod I ever did in my years and as a new kia stinger owner I'm here to say they work with more than just bmw 😁👍👍

I have JB$ G5 ISO on my 2010 e90 335i, full bolt ons, upgraded turbos and meth for years with NO issues. I have one on my wifes 2021 Supra, and I just put one on my 2021 X3M. Never an issue and easily adjusted for more power. Very good product.
I have it installed on my stinger gt and damnnnnnnn this car was very fast but with jb4 the gains of power is unbeliveable that after owning this car for over a year i am still driving and sayin to myself NO WAY!!!!!!!its that much faster and smile

Great product I have no bolt ons on my car whatsoever... I got a f30 328i install the jb4 stage 1 & yeah you can feel the difference specially on sport mode I keep up to 335s stock & 320i full bolt ons.

Anybody installed this on an EcoBoost Mustang? Just ordered mine and Im really hoping it works as great as all you BMW owners say 🤞already got all my bolt ons in place. Intercooler, Downpipe, Cold air intake, Manifold and body throttle spacers, catch can setup, resonator delete, throttle response controller, and ofc a BOV. Didnt want to void my warranty but with this I'm all set and ready to go! Hoping for the best.

you still have to be an involved owner. stay up on mx, oil changes, etc. wait for the car to get up to temp before romping on it; same with a non-chipped car. Smart owners' cars last longer....

So what software do you use for editing the map files? It's not a tuner if you can't tune... that would be just a flash tool?
I’ve been running a DOC Race single turbo kit on my N54 for several months now, and anything over the wastegate spring rate produces horrible boost oscillation. I’ve logged multiple pulls hoping the learn feature would dial in, but no luck. I've posted those logs on N54Tech, but I can’t wait around simply "hoping" someone will help correct this. So I've decided to go standalone BEF with GF3 for EBC.
Hi, I have 2008 e60 535i with the jb4. Do you know if it causes no communication issues with the dme? When bmw dealership tried to connect their scanner they said they can not communicate with any modules. I even brought it to a local garage which they showed me that ista+ with Dcan was not able to communicate with any as well. If the jb4 is interfering with the communication to the dme how can new modules, battery or keys be programmed?

@@RobertLeBlancPhoto stick with bootmood3. Unlike jb4 it actually flashes your dme instead of tricking the dme like the jb4, and it takes literally under a min to flash back to stock and will be completely Undetectable by dealerships

Flashing will always be detectable. ECUs keep history of how many times they got flashed and some other proprietary information that a warranty tech will find.
When you blow your motor, it isn't the dealership that determines whether or not you get a replacement motor, it's the manufacturer. The dealership sends the ECU to to the manufacturer and someone there checks the information. Car was flashed a bunch of times, including one time after the motor was blown? Claim denied.
With the JB4, there is no flash. BMW started looking at other information to determine whether or not the car had a hidden tune, like with a JB4. BMW started looking at fuel use at WOT, peak boost for turbos, and other bits of information. I heard the JB4 masks that information as well, but I am not sure as I am not an expert on BMWs when it comes to this sort of stuff.
Ford, Chevy, and Dodge dont pay attention to the hidden tune stuff since it isnt common like with BMWs, so it's easier to get away with it.
It isnt better than a flash bang for buck, but it isnt the same thing. It's for people who want more power without losing the warranty.
@@odethious5639 the jb4 also will push ur car harder to get the same hp as a normal flash, for example the boost....honestly I like both setups people should just choose what works best for them I went with bm3 and currently happy at stage 2 tune....its my daily so this will be as far as I go with this car
I’ve recently got a jb4 tuning device for all the wrong reasons, I was initially looking for small burbles and pops for the car but I’ve noticed this device being used mainly for performance gains can I still download a custom burble tune for it? (For f82 s55)

Does this really work and not eventually reset on a Lexus 200t? I thought Lexus' ECU's were unbreakable.
check out Orange Virus. They do Toyota/lexus stuff. It's a headache though. had it on my Tacoma. Helped for awhile and then I traded my truck in.

I have a 2019 Honda Accord Sport 2.0. Currently it’s factory stock and I’m only using a pedal commander and I really like the pedal response I get. However when I try and use sport mode with the pedal commander it doesn’t do as well so I don’t use it.. my question is this.. could I use the pedal commander with the JB4 and make the experience even more enjoyable??? Also the next mods I’m gonna do soon is add an intake and exhaust.. I notice you haven’t had anyone with a Honda Accord with a JB4? How much power could I realistically

I have a 21 Acura TLX TYPE-S but before this car I had the 18 Tlx aspec with a sprint booster installed & it really did wonders for the acceleration & was good on sport plus mode as well, but as I researched the Jb4 I found out that it too can adjust any turbo lag making it way more responsive so I wonder if you'd even need the commander

I find it so funny that the guys who ripped on JB4 from the Bavarian shop (sorry can't remember the name) did not allow comments yet you can comment here. Are they afraid of people knowing that they were wrong because people like and so many others I know have the JB4 on our Kia Stingers and absolutely love them and understand what they do and how to safely use them? frustrates me because Terry Burger is a good dude who doesn't charge people for firmware updates and will go out of his way to check your logs if something is off and help you get back to 100%.

With those impressive numbers you showed on the dyno for 335i, was that the twin turbo n54 or the twin scroll n55? Just don't want to be disappointed with minimal gains vs dollars spent. (I have n55) thanks
Hey Matt. If you look at the dyno graph it states the vehicle as the F30 335i. I think they are single turbo - twin power (BMW statement) twin scroll turbo cars. I have a 08' n54 FBO car with JB4 G5 and BEF and LOVEEEEEE it! The features are amazzzzinggg!

So I can get the JB4 for my '13 Turbo Optima.. Or a $900+ Ecu tune. From what I've heard the reason more people get the high price ecu tune is because plug and play tuners blow motors.. So how do the fail safes prevent that or how can I know if it's as dangerous as they make it out?
Ecu tunes blow motors too. You need to make sure the tune is correct and you have supporting modifications.

Eugene Flores what kind of question is that ? You want to mod the car and keep warranty that's not possible. Worries about long term health get a real tune not a piggy back.
zues2013 its a legitimate question. If i put a cold air intake and tune the car will i void my warranty. I plan on doing nothing else.

Anyone know what this does to the fuel economy?
I installed this on a 2020 M2 competition, required a laptop to place into Map 2 because its sold with an out of date firmware.
After not being a simple plug and play install the unit does little to add any top end on the car, you feel a decent amount of mid range but the car seems to fall flat above 5500rpm.
Overall unimpressed. Discussed with BMS who wants to charge a restocking fee. Hopefully this review prevents someone else from making my mistake
Your mistake is being too stupid to just update the firmware, and actually learn about the mod...

@@SinisterC6 I installed it OVER a custom MHD tune, and was advised by BMS to just set it on BEF mode, even though my flash is a custom flash, and it works perfectly well. No boost cut at all. But, as you say, since you've gotten rid of yours it's all just for discussion at this point...

Typical gains in a stock ish B58 application will see a 50hp and 40ft/lb gain with more torque than stock from 2500rpm all the way to redline. Greater power gains are possible with upgraded turbos and a tune to match.

JB4's on stock B58 engine applications show a dyno measured 50hp and 40 ftlbs of torq gained to the wheels on average. For those wanting more, tuning with high octane race fuel, or bigger turbos is also possible to reach an extra 100hp+

What's the difference between the new box and the old one?
For all practical purposes, they are functionally the same. Never versions now ship with a billet housing thats more durable and weather resistant. You can even purchase the new case by it self, and transfer the JB4 board from the old box into a new one.

I went from 4.4 0-60 12.8@107 to 3.9 and 12.33@113 on map 2 with my otherwise stock '17 c43

Well considering the M Performance Power and Sound Kit, is nothing much more then a slightly different exhaust system with a factory (still emission limited) tune... The JB4 would be able to add more power then the still relatively conservative OEM tune. JB4s are not limited by emission components and can be used with cat-less down pipes when on a track. Something the MPPSK could not do.

Depending on the year of your TL, Hondata may have a FlashPro that is compatible. Or you'd have to use a FlashPro compatible TL ECU w/ an adapter for your year.
