I still can't believe how beautiful that engine compartment looks! I know you mentioned this when you first installed the wheels/tires, the thing is, you need to have those tires swapped and remounted. They are definitely unidirectional and, I think, outside specific. I'm not sure if flipping that right front on the rim will result in the outside being right. Could be you were sold all right side or left side tires and need replacements. In any case, do not run the tires against the direction of rotation markings on the tires; it might wreck them for their proper use.
Thanks! So much paint work. As for the tires, the Toyo R888R has an inside and outside, but they don't make a left and right. Open-wheeled car guys don't want to run them because of the looks. They're great for traction in dry weather, but in the rain I can see one side of the car becoming unsettled because the water is siphoning inwards.
You're absolutely right, I need to make an update video. Got it running last spring, put 6k miles on it so far. Taken it to Tail of the Dragon, many long road trips, and generally ripping the tires every chance I get. My favorite car in the world.
Car blew up on the dyno. We don't know why, but it catastrophically predetonated. Not much else I can do until the machine shop fits the rotors to 3mm seals and resurfaces the front housing.

WE NEED TO SEE WHAT CAME TO BE OF THAT 1 TON LJ ON 40’s!
That was a friend's Jeep I was helping work on during a summer. It has since moved to his new place. No progress yet.
Nice setup...what tire size are you running in the front and rear? Thanks
