You ever consider buying a older truck with a service box and equipping it with a gas air compressor generator and tools so when you are on a site you have appropriate tooling for repairs. You could put a blade or a Salter on it also. With that much operating Equipment all at once things are gonna break regardless of your prep time. You could have drove up with air on board and pumped up tires on the spot.

Ah, the "caught with your pants down" snowstorm! If you've done it long enough, you've definitely had one(at least!). Because the only thing more fun than hooking up plows and finding out what doesn't work is doing it in darkness while laying on the ground in wet slush! And for every passing minute spent dealing with "the work before the work" the snow is getting heavier and harder to move.

Timelaps is pretty good. It compacts just as you compact the snow :). I like the way Andrew Camarata does his videos, where he shows in details in the beginning, how it's done and then move to timelaps, to make it more interesting and not "long" for the same action. Not saying I don't like long videos, but keep it interesting is key and with timelaps it's a good help for sure.
I have no problems with your videos. You are full of energy and it spreads :) Cheers from Copenhagen, Denmark

Had a situation like that before without a backhoe or assistants. What worked was deflating the tires on the truck and then using a portable compressor to get them back up. Also some Deoxit or similar products go a long way on plow connectors and trailer harness. For ice buildup under plows a digging bar helps.

Hey a trick for the flat tire on tlb is pick front end all the way up. Wrap a chain around the axel and the lift arm and lift up. It will hold the flat tire up and you can drive on the other tire. We used this trick all the time at the railroad and we were able to drive them to the tire shop or back to the shop.

When mounting your sno-power, ALWAYS set the 4 5th wheel pins in first. Ignore the hitch mount. Once those are in, place a floor jack under the frame of the blade just below the pump box. Jack up the blade to align the receiver hitch ( the solid receiver block should already slid into the truck receiver as far as possible. No pins in it yet. Jack up plow until you can slide the block back to the plow frame and align all holes. Install receiver pins and you are done! Reverse this procedure for removal of sno-power with mount still attached.... The secret is the order and the floor jack 😁

Alot of people always make fun of me for carrying a dirt shovel but there's been many times where I have been stuck and a normal snow shovel would just break or even a grain shovel just is to big to get into tight space and to big to be able to dig deep into hard packed "concrete" snow like what made that truck stuck. And for the sldg have you ever thought about those chains or heavy nylon strap chains that are all safe for using on tar and concrete? I mean with loader tires and ag tires unless condition are perfect unless s guy runs chains

@@Dirtmonkey the cost of a fully equipped service truck is underestimated by most people that are not in the industry.
Most of your equipment seems new enough to be reasonably reliable, or even borrowed/loaner/demo type stuff where you don’t need to deal with the repairs.
So, honestly I don’t think the cost of a service truck would really be justified for you.
Regardless, If you want to see some nicely equipped heavy equipment service trucks, check out cottontop’s videos on his experience kitting them out AND wearing them down. Let his half million plus investment and experience with them give you a heads up if you do go that route.

I thought the same about the forecast, it was a scramble for sure. At least everybody else was in the same boat as us.

Great title! I got my new 36” plow markers from winter last week, no way anyone could not see those things. They do look good on my stainless fisher xls.

Get yourself a small cargo trailer and put it a genny, small welder, torch and air compressor and keep it at your staging area. Would make your life a ton easier.

@@Dirtmonkey It is better to have it and not need it than it is to need it and not have it. We have a trailer that is used for the shoveling crew, extra shovels, clothes, gloves, heaters and necessary equipment for emergencies. I am sure once you are switched over to snow you will be more prepared.

Nice to know I'm not the only 1 to run a bussiness like a s..t show. Just kidding. We all have issues that come up at the wrong time. Your guys kept a good attitude. Nice to read the comments and see everyones opinions on what they would have done. We can all learn something.

You could’ve had the lot plowed with just the front plows by the time you hooked up back plow 🤣

No- we plow 2.1 million square feet- The Back plows are MUCH faster on that type of square footage.
