Haha, that is an awesome description of your snow in Michigan. The only place we find snow like that in New Mexico is up in the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Snow usually hangs out into July or August depending on snow year. It makes me thankful for the desert valley I live in when you have to deal with it like you do. Man I'll tell you what. When that bolt broke I dropped an F bomb and a few other choice words. I was so frustrated haha. I didn't capture any of this on film because I had a sailor reputation haha. But once I calmed down and moved forward the job came out good and drilling that hole out looked good. I appreciate you watching buddy. Take care and stay warm.

I love how you let your humanity come through, everyone runs into snags and gets pissed and then hopefully we get our heads right and get done what needs done. There is no such thing as a simple job, something ALWAYS seems to snag. THANK YOU so much for making this video...now I feel confident I can get this job done right. I have a can am 4500, installing on a 570 DPS 2020. Hopefully it fits! I also had to buy a wire kit specifically for it so I SHOULD have all the parts needed. Will update when done.

Good job ! A word of advice when attaching to any object do not hook onto your cable , if the object did not move as easily as your truck you risk kinking your cable. 👍

Awesome buddy! A winch for Reuben! - Whoooohoooo! Really nice job on explaining every step! That's a lot easier install than on a Honda, but the mounting spot looks like pretty thin plate compared to an actual mounting plate. I'd be worried about that 3,500 lb winch bending the hell out that metal skid plate. And just to be helpful, I suggest you buy a tree strap, because putting the winch hook on the cable when winching like you did at the end is a big no no. That'll wreck your cable really quick. Nice job on the video bud!
I appreciate your feedback buddy. I will make sure to pick up a tree strap. I thought the same thing that the plate is thin on the bottom. I’ll have to keep in mind if I ever have to do a big job. The cost difference between the 2500lbs and the 3500lbs was 30 bucks. Maybe I aimed high on the 3500 because that is a lot of pull LOL. I got some homework to see how much force can be applied to the plate. Thanks for watching buddy.

Awesome video, I think it’s gonna help me with my install. The only criticism I have is never hook your winch up to something like that. Always use a strap. That’s so bad for your cable!!

you should think about putting a synthetic winch rope on yours i put one on my winch i like it better than the cable and i dont have to wear gloves and its super strong

good job - my winch broke twice during my first snow plowing because I accidentally rewround too far :( I had a professional dealer install my polaris plow system..I would never attempt something like this myself lol :)

On the Polaris it connects to the synthetic rope and then the electronic magnetic parts connects to the winch. On the can ams it’s different. One of the magnets actually is attached to the plow itself

Hey there. The solenoid bracket that I used came with the winch. I should have mentioned in the video that there was 2 pieces to the solenoid. I actually ended up using the other piece that was just behind the part that I held up. So the part uses was actual part to be used to tie into the frame and shock. So the piece I held up I decide to not use it because it all tied well. Hope this answers your question and I am glad the video helped you out. Thanks for watching.

Hey there. I mounted the solenoid onto the frame about the 21:30 mark in the video. I got a solenoid bracket from Can Am when I bought the winch. Their kit has this bracket included. Thanks for checking out my video.

I'll have to check it out. I have the Superwinch Terra 35SR that I'm installing on my 2016 Can Am Outlander 650 MAX. I don't have the Can Am kit, so I need to do some adjustments.

Where exactly does the remote harness plug plug into? I couldn't find anything behind the fuse box. I have the 2021 570 xmr outlander. Any help would be appreciated man
Hey man. I hope to help you out on this. Assuming that the wiring looks the same or almost identical, you should look underneath the fuse box accessible on the left side in between your air intake vent and fuse box look for a white pin connector. You should be able to plug into that connector. Good luck I hope this helps. What size is the hex bolt on the front of the fairlead? Don’t have an Allen key big enough but couldn’t figure out what size to get

If I remember correctly that is what you have to do. Unplug that connector and plug into it.
Solenoid on mine died after very light use.. I would keep a spare. Snowing and can’t plow..
That’s a bummer. Hopefully you can get a new solenoid put in. It’s never a bad idea to keep a backup.

Hey there. Yes, the winch from Can Am came with everything you see in the video. No cutting is involved with their product. Its all plug and play to install it.

I have a 20 inch led light bar made by Nilight. I picked it up on Amazon and I have been using this light bar for 2 years now. I have never had a problem with it no matter what weather conditions I have been in. It is a 420W Triple Row Flood Spot Combo 42000LM LED Light Bar. Where is the gass tank on it ?
The gas tank is in the rear of the ATV.
how did you get that plastic off where you mount the winch with the 4 bolts??
My machine didn't have plastics where you mount the bolts. Sorry I couldn't help you out there man.
