Small plane crashes from municipal and county airports are far too common. Taxpayers are subsidizing a luxury for the wealthy that's subjecting them to an unnecessary risk. They're charging peanuts to use the airports while the land could be generating a lot more in tax revenue. Increase the rates to a fair market value. Demand will drop then most of the airports can be shut down and turned into high density housing. If they want to learn how to fly or use a plane as a toy then they can do it in unpopulated areas. If they want to use an airport in the city then they should be charged city rates.
The same in Poland. 😢 Money, pathologies, stupidity, no knowledge about mathematics and physics, a pure aviation analphabetism 😢 F.e. one disaster near my town: 2 pilots with licences did not read the user manual of an areoplane! Etc. 😢 About the last disaster 8 Dec 2024, EPWT Watorowo, Chełmno, I knew... before the crash 😢 And all public services also knew 😢 No reaction, nowadays too 😢
