I've watched this once through before. I always thought Miaka was a little annoying. Unlike Aya in Ayashi no ceres- Miaka is always like ahh save me someone whereas Aya can kick butt on her own.
The scene with Nakago kissing Yui just made me realize how unstable and unbalanced Yui is, she seems to switch from one emotion to another and she has extreme mood swings like the time when she slapped Tamahome and screamed at him and told him that he was just a character in a story book even though she claims that she’s in love with him and tried so hard to get him to like her She also seems to switch from being shy to bold very fast Like the episode when she showed up in front of the guards or Tamahome’s bed wearing a loose shirt or when she attempted to seduce Tamahome by putting his hand on her breast which clearly showed that she wanted him to sleep with her ( in the manga, he actually tells that her can’t have sex with her but in the anime he just tells her that he can’t return her feelings) and after she gave him that drug and he attempted to sleep with her again after telling her that he belonged to her, she becomes uncomfortable and feels guilty because she knows that he still loves Miaka deep inside ( in this scene in the manga, Yui doesn’t resist Tamahome like she did in the anime ) Suboshi tries to kiss her, she gets shocked and pushes him a way and accuses him of being dirty like the men who raped her and in this episode when Nakago kisses her, she kisses him back and fools herself into believing that Nakago does have feelings for her even though she knows that he’s manipulating her and suddenly she’s in love with him No wonder why people are so confused as to who Yui truly loves because she keeps changing her feelings Does she love Tamahome, Nakago or Miaka? She seems very confused and she’s just desperate for someone to love her
weng marcs Thank you so much I think that many people in the comment section have really great thoughts and made many great analysis as well Yui is one of my favorite characters in this anime but I don’t think she was innocent but she had reasons that lead her to do what she did, I would definitely classify her as Yandere Without Yui or the Seriyuu, this story wouldn’t be half as good in my opinion They made the anime much more dramatic and complex.
Amiboshi has always been my favorite character, I'm not a big fan of Miaka or Yui but they both make a very interesting protag/antag characters. It sucks that Amiboshi will no longer be appearing in the anime after this episode and that Suboshi was unable to live a peaceful life with his beloved brother or with his unrequited love but instead ended up dying. This anime is a sad story, so many lives were lost and Amiboshi is the only member of the Seiryuu Seven or Seiryuu Warriors that is still alive by the end of this anime.

Seriyu isn't ever going to be summoned if you the Seriyu Warriors keep killing each other. Even if Suboshi was a good guy, I'd probably hurt him beacause of what he's done to Tamahome.

That necklace should have been found ages ago and we still haven’t mentioned the time frame thing. Only an evening has happened in the real world and these guys are just everywhere as far as 1-2 years in the book. Miaka is 15-16 now.
