There are a few things I'm... Upset about with this Love triangle. Hotohori fell in love with the Priestess of legend, not necessarily Miaka. He'd said that. He was in love with an idea, with someone who'd save him from his past. A mysterious girl from another world, someone who'd seem wondrous and magical. Tomohome and Miaka, I don't agree with either. I mean, maybe if they actually took time to develop feelings for each other. Miaka told him she loved him in episode 4! FOUR! I don't really think I feel that Miaka should be romantically involved with anyone in that universe. I like her platonic relationship with Nuriko- They're really close friends. I like how Taski is extremely protective of her, although everyone seems to be. Honestly, I'd think that the reason everyone is so protective of her and stuff is due to their spiritual connection to her. She is the Priestess of Suzaku, their reason of existence. They're naturally drawn to her. You can see it with Taski, he wasn't really planning on joining them, and then he did. Nuriko, you can arguably say it was due to jealousy, however he still came around. Even Chichiri and everyone else.
Waffie Is a waffle You obviously understood it well. 🤝🤝🤝When miaka is in danger the others can sense it like radar. this explains it, not merely emotions. Hotohori is true, too. Hence he promptly married another woman in later episode. Actually, apart from chichiri and mitsukake, none of these guys have any experience with women, so they naturally fallen for miaka, the 1st woman they are so closely staying with and through the most exciting adventures, life and death, together, plus the spiritual destined connections. Of course miaka is such good merits, couldn’t happen if she is nasty and evil. She doesn’t ever hesitate to die for any of them, despite how weak she is . You can’t help loving such a devoted friend. B4 meeting miaka, everyone ‘s life is boring or painful lonely. Joining the team has lightened up their life. How could they not feel love and loved towards it? Nuriko makes it clear on his deathbed last words.
Please don't kill me for saying this but... this story very much reminds me of Twilight... the only difference is that the acting here is wwwaaayyy better!

He looks like the kind of Emperor who would let his wife assist him in running his country too! So you'd be more then just a heir-making machine.
