Fushigi Yuugi OVA 3 sucks this is worse than the first OVA Mayo was soo annoying than Yui and this OVA offers nothing new is like a the same plot from the tv series Mayo does the same thing Yui does nothing creative , this OVA is actually based of the 7 and 8 of light novels which is not written by Yuu Watase but by Megumi Nishizaki and Watase became an illustrator instead which is the reason why this novel and the OVA turn out bad my god just what was Yuu Watase thinking of putting Megumi Nishizaki in charge as the writer of this novel, so this OVA is just bad It's stinks and I hate this OVA and don't recommended expect you really should watch the tv series it get a 1out 5.

The reason why the book's still bothering everyone it's peace hasn't been achieved in the book. They still need the priestess to take care of the unfinished business.
TBH, what this girl had been through isn't as worse as what Miaka and You had been through when they are transported in the book. Sure her family drama play a huge part, anyone has that pain, but does she really have to destroy other people's happiness just because she is unhappy? She always says no one understands her, but she keeps pushing back all the people who truly cared about her and also her love for Taka is more of an obsession than anything. She is literally the interpretation of those people who escaped the real world that they believe only gives them pain and create a world where they matter.
Miaka looks more mature and, I guess, more attractive. More wife-appealing. :) And Yui is beautiful with that new hairdo and her figure more emphasized. :) And, of course, Dowager Empress Houki is divinely gorgeous. :D
I like how the creators of this anime can pull you into the story and divide the fantasy book world from the real world at the same time they allow you to feel the emotions of the character Tamahome when he finds out that he is only a fictional character. The writer of this anime is quite cleaver it's as if you almost forget that the Tsuzaku 7 are fictional story book characters. I think it is pure genus how the series before the ova scenery in the book world look like an actual story book during Miaka's and Yui's first entrance and as they advanced through out the story.
The disappointing aspect of this anime is how the reoccurring events of Miaka becoming the damsel of distress repeatedly throughout the series is just as or even more annoying than kagome getting herself into trouble. Thinking back while analyzing this anime, without Miaka getting herself into trouble and constantly being saved there wouldn't be a story....

I just finished rewatching Fushigi Yuugi and OVA 1 and 2 as well. Now I'm here again. Many fans hate this because of Mayo but I'm still grateful how the studio chose Eikoden to make another OVA. I can never get sick of watching Eikoden. I also memorized the lines lol.
Looking back its amazing how Tamahome was able to put up with Miaka's constant lack of trust and loyalty behavior through the years more then one, and look at them now, starting a family together.

I only happen to watch this anime now. And throughout this quarantine I was able to finish watching all the episodes. It just disturbs me so much that Tamahome/Taka's voice in this ova 3 is different. I am not saying that it doesn't suit him, I was just--- I was getting used to Tamahome's voice in the previous 52episodes until ova1&2 and I was into it, all of their voices actually Miaka , noriko, hotohori and others and I was inlove with the entire anime and hearing their voices. And now this is the reason that I can't move on , why does it have to change now in ova 3? It would have been better if I heard the previous voice of Tamahome talking to Miaka and them having baby . Why did they have to replace him? I can't imagine it's a happy ending because miaka is not with Tamahome anymore, because of the voice.
