Nakago is such an underrated character here, he represents some of our life's aspects. Some are mad at him because they never understood his character well, I mean growing up, I used to hate him because he makes the lives of other characters hard. But he is one of my favourite now because I can relate to him in some ways, I understand now why Yuu Watase said that Nakago is her favourite character in this story.

@@harukaakira8687 it was written by megumi nishizaki, actually she wrote all the fushigi yuugi light novels which has the backstories of the suzaku seven and 3/7 seiryuu warriors and the story of miaka and taka after they get married known as eikoden the last novel chose by studio pierrot to animate as the 3rd OVA.
The ending got me crying 😭 Especially nuriko having a last embrace of miaka Like how hotohori did when he finally accepted they could never be together 😢 And the last part when tamahome said atlast I finally found you 😍
I have watched/read a lot of anime/manga like naruto,bleach,fairytail, hunterxhunter, the slayers, yuyu hakushu, even sailormoon, saber marionette, samurai x, get backers, etc...and I can say that fushigi yuugi is really one of the best manga/anime that has ever made.

I have to say, this anime was my absolute favorite when I was a little girl. Rewatching it now at 21 years old, it's crazy to finally understand all of the things I didn't while watching this as a child. The nostalgia part of it was very fun, and there were even a good amount of scenes that I remembered vaguely from watching it so much when I was little. However, so much about the plot and characters in this anime is extremely frustrating and just downright annoying. If I found this anime today for the first time there's no way I would've watched it all the way through let alone past a good few episodes. Things were rough there in the middle and made it really hard to watch, but I'm glad I kept going until the end because the last few episodes were really good. This anime will always have a special place in my heart despite everything else, and I'm glad I was able to find it and watch it through once more to really get the full experience I was unable to as a child. And thank you very much to the person who uploaded all of these episodes on youtube!
Omfg this ending really made me cry it was the best anime I have ever seen it was a love story I ever dreamn`t of I was bawling out crying when tomohome and miaka found each other again but this time it was him in her world he was an accual human being and not a character from the book the universe of the 4 gods :,(
Shocking, isn't it? It's no fairytale at all. That book is a time traveling machine and Tamahome was just a reincarnated twin of a student in her world. Must've took an INFINITE time for him to gather all the pieces of his past life memories together. The others were just real people from the ancient history. That means Miaka and Yui were actually transported to the past of the historical civilization.
Both Miaka and Taitskun told us the moral of the story: "It is not wishes that makes things come true but human emotions and feelings that do." 😭 love this story.
I watched it when I was 11 years old. Now at 33 it’s just nostalgia. I was so much in love with this anime and Tamahome at the time. While I watched it I was back to the 11 year old drooling over Tamahome. It holds a very special place in my heart. I’m glad it has a good ending. 🥰
I cried when I saw Nakagos story, the king used him as a woman and I’m glad that kingdom perished but it’s sad he couldn’t find happiness at the end. What a beautiful story, I will never forget you Suzaku 7.
The feels this series brings to me. I found this by accident 4 years ago and haven't regret it since. The return of all the people we have all grown to love all return in the end and that's all that matters. Deaths and separation are horrible but dang. The feels.

Miracles do happen when you find your true love. Love this anime ever. I greatly thank the author who made this possible and make it the best anime ever. I love how you created it and the drawings are so like true human beings. I want to be an author and maybe make my own anime based on a love story that no boundaries will destroy them just like this. dragon ball for girls. it's a beautiful story. i mean yeah, it's often too cheap and corny, but damn - the emotions, narrative (really offensive cliffhangers), characters (yet archetypal), Nakago's past especially. i did watch the series as a eleven years old kid and gosh - 10:38 scene still gives me goosebumps. btw: like the way how series throws the deaths and tragedies straight into viewer's face (fate of Tamahome's family, Nakago's or Soi past, needless sacrifices, the whole story of Yui - know the stuff).
This story affected my feels VERY much. Very few stories have managed to do that, so I feel great respect for this story. It wouldn't have been the same without that ending, though...the ending makes you wonder if it was all more than just a story, as if it was a part of some ancient past. It MADE this story.
Finally I finished to watched the whole episode .. After almost 15 or 20 years? I got a chance to watch it . I remember when I was young my father don't allowed me to watch it because of some itimate scenes 😅 and Im so glad now that on my age (27y/o) I fulfilled my childhood memories . for me Nuriko and hotohori's death is the saddest part. How did Nakago become so much more powerful than like, every single other celestial warrior? To take on the combined powers of seven others? I get that he had a bigger drive and more time to develop them but seriously.
Still the best anime for me. All the feelings and emotions I felt when I rewatch it on 7th grade I felt again now that I rewatch it this year. it's a beautiful story. i mean yeah, it's often too cheap and corny, but damn - the emotions, narrative (really offensive cliffhangers), characters (yet archetypal), Nakago's past especially. i did watch the series as a eleven years old kid and gosh - 10:38 scene still gives me goosebumps.
btw: like the way how series throws the deaths and tragedies straight into viewer's face (fate of Tamahome's family, Nakago's or Soi past, needless sacrifices, the whole story of Yui - know the stuff).
This story affected my feels VERY much. Very few stories have managed to do that, so I feel great respect for this story. It wouldn't have been the same without that ending, though...the ending makes you wonder if it was all more than just a story, as if it was a part of some ancient past. It MADE this story.
Finally I finished to watched the whole episode .. After almost 15 or 20 years? I got a chance to watch it . I remember when I was young my father don't allowed me to watch it because of some itimate scenes 😅 and Im so glad now that on my age (27y/o) I fulfilled my childhood memories . for me Nuriko and hotohori's death is the saddest part. They are my fav character .. I miss fushigi yuugi 😔😔 best stories and best characters..😍😍

How did Nakago become so much more powerful than like, every single other celestial warrior? To take on the combined powers of seven others? I get that he had a bigger drive and more time to develop them but seriously.
I guess when you're starting off bad. You'll be really powerful but you will never win...
I think it had something to do with the fact that his God was the god of war?

Still the best anime for me. All the feelings and emotions I felt when I rewatch it on 7th grade I felt again now that I rewatch it this year. It felt so nostalgic everytime I humm the BG songs 🥺🥺 I love every character in this anime and now that I rewatch it this year, I now understand deeper every character's story (even the other seryu warriors) that I didn't understand from the past. Hahhh I love them all ❤ Fushigi Yuugi my forever favorite 🥰
