    I switched to Whoop for my 24/7 tracking because I wear mechanical watches. I love how comfortable it is on a bicep band and basically invisible

    I switched from whoop to garmin myself. Love the battery life on the garmin, and i just charge it when I shower. My whoop 3 charged died because it got wet so I was pumped when 4 came out, but my battery life went down to 3-4 days pretty quickly. That, the arbitrary numbers that whoop uses and the price of whoop made me switch to the garmin. The whoop strap takes forever to dry too. I also got the garmin chest HR strap cuz wrist HR just isnt accurate enough and whoop wouldnt let me pair with external HR monitors or power meters. The whoop app was nice, but just couldnt justify it.

      100% understand everything you said. That seems to be a consistent piece of feedback. I do love my Garmin.

      Hi
      Do you wear both devices at the same time?
      Maybe take off garmin at night ?

    Love your videos and you've definitely influenced me to try the Whoop out. Does the Whoop factor in our fitness goals? For example, I am trying to lose 20 lbs, is there a way to feed that goal into Whoop and tailor its recommendations based on such a goal?

    • @WesJH
      @WesJH  Год назад +2

      Yea, that's very difficult to tailor a broad consumer product like that. What you can do is take a look at this video I did ruclips.net/video/ryy3kK-CZRk/видео.html
      If you skip to the conclusion section, you'll see how I track my deficit using WHOOP to hit my weight loss goals. Hope that helps!

      For me, WHOOP. I like to wear traditional watches most of the time. However, if WHOOP disappeared, I'd be 100% happy with Garmin. If you don't have a watch, and want to pay for two birds with one stone, go Garmin IMO.

      @@WesJH thanks mate, seems to be perfect for me because I wear mechanical watches

    I wear both an ultra and Garmin instinct 2x. Train and sleep with both.. Whoop straight up did not work for me. Whoop told me my wrist was shaped wrong??? Whatever that means.

      Whats do you prefer? Garmin or Ultra?

    • @WesJH
      @WesJH  Год назад +1

      That's really odd. First I've ever heard of that issue. May I ask why you wear both devices?

    • @michaelrankins717
      @michaelrankins717 Год назад

      @@glaubermsouza ultra is best at being a smart watch that can do everything you'd need including making phone calls. But 2 day battery can be an issue if you do multi day hikes/runs.
      If I didn't run or hike I would be happy with just apple watch ultra.

    • @michaelrankins717
      @michaelrankins717 Год назад

      @@WesJH I love the data from both devices. I use Athlyic with the Ultra and I compare that with the Garmin Connect data to help with how I am going to train for the day/week.
      I prefer Garmin running plans/data presentation over Apple. So just wearing both all the time ensures I have as much data to comb through. Haha, and I really love the look of both and would hate to choose one over the other.
      As for the Whoop, that device would give me HR readings of 245 bpm while standing still randomly. They told me it was because of the shape of my wrist. 🤷🏽‍♂️ shame because I wanted it to work.

    Whoop is not complete for collegiate athletes. I need to be able to track specific intervals and like having wellness features. Whoop is for the casuals LOL

    Whoop has annual and 2-year memberships (at least for Europe, but I think it doesn't matter) which removes the inconvenience of monthly bills at least for some time
