It is not a problem, you are trying to make this a problem. I own a quick jack and use it on my wife's 2021 Mustang and my 2023 Tacoma and it works great, for the Tacoma I bought the SUV blocks so the jack will lift the Tacoma better. To ask quick jack to provide a list of every make and model of vehicle it will work with would be next to impossible because they don't have access to every make and model of vehicle to test it. That is why they show you how to take measurements so you can select the quick jack that will work for you.
Who said I have tools??? :D You definitely didn't watch the whole video... On a serious note, you don't think they should have a list for your specific car on their website? Super simple fix!
@@Miguelsgarage There are a couple of factors that determine which QuickJack you need. - The distance between your front and rear lift points (lift point spread) - The distance between the lift points and the ground (ground clearance) - The distance between the tires (tirespread) - The weight of the vehicle Why a list is not ''super simple'': - The distance between front and rear lift points is not public information, so you won't be able to determine the QuickJack model needed lenghtwise (TL, TLX or ELX) - The distance between the lift points and the ground (ground clearance) is not public information, so you won't be able to determine if you need the 5000 or 7000 - People have modified cars (lowered, bigger rims, or whatever) and might not even know it. A list will give a false perception. If you have a lowered car, the ground clearance changes, if you have different wheels, the tirespread could change. - Car manufacturers change their models, designs all the time. For example, newer BMW's have a way bigger lift point spread than they used to have. If QuickJack would say: 3-series will fit 5000TL model, that might not be the case in the newer model. - If you have multiple cars, you want ONE QuickJack to fit both. Meaning, QuickJack would have to make a combo list of all suitable QuickJack models for each car, so you can cross check if both models are listed on separate cars. And then there’s accessories combo’s: Example: you own a small Porsche and a Truck. The Porsche has tight tire spread and can only fit the TL. The Truck has a big lift point spread and need the TLX. Solution: TL + extension frames. If you are spending a couple of grand on a tool, why not take 15-20 minutes to measure your cars and check the measurement sheet. Or use this calculator: measurement.quickjack-nederland.nl You can fill in the measurements for as many cars as you want and the calculator will tell you which QuickJack you need. I don’t think the video and it’s caption, your lack to investigate in a product is entirely fair. Edit: The list of vehicles in your video shows the visual locations of lift points but not a single measurement, which is really important to know to determine a QuickJack model.
I appreciate you taking the time to put together your explanation above. I touched on some of those points in my video and they do have the information above listed on their website. However, lift points ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT part when buying one of these. My QuickJack fits perfectly. All the measurements are correct, EXCEPT for the lift points. They do not line up and there's no mention of lift points on their website. I've come up with a solution. I'M GOING TO LIFT THE CAR SIDEWAYS!! Stay tuned!
Can you post a video when you figure it out please. I’m a 944 owner and would love a QJ but I’ve been suspicious that they won’t work with my car given it’s unique lift points. Thanks, Miguel.
Yeah, a car made in 84, or any other pre 90's era car, c'mon. You know where your jack points are. Drop your tools and give me 20. Besides, if you have a garage that big, and that many cars, you're sort of past quick jack money.
On the cover of that booklet it says for vehicles produced from 2000 on. The last 944 I believe was produced in 1991 so you can’t be mad that it’s not listed in that book when the book is for years that are after your vehicle was produced.
You should know the jacking points on your car. Not the jack companies responsibility to inform on every vehicle ever produced. That seems ridiculous. We do have the internet. Is Sears still open?
If you know the jacking points on your car, you can look up the quick jack models and see the dimensions of the jack and how it would fit under the car. On the jack itself, you have the area where you can adjust your rubber blocks to meet up with your car's jack points. I have the 7000 and it works on smalls cars up to pick up trucks just fine. I did not have any issues in figuring this out.
Owners manuals show jacking points as do service manuals. If you wrench seriously finding jack points (or alternate jack points if the area is rusted) should not be an issue at all. BTW a useful trick is using wood cribbing because wood doesn't tend to slide on dry steel and when jacked against an uneven surface deforms to grab it. That's one reason smart riggers place wood on their forklift forks when picking heavy machinery (the other is protecting the lift point from the forks. When you have Porsche money and a large facility like that a post lift will always be preferable. Even if you rent the owner shouldn't mind (ask first) a few anchor holes in the floor for a lift since you can fill those perfectly with epoxy when the rental/lease terminates.
Bro, you got to be kidding me.. the booklet literally says for models 2000-2022. If you dont know where your jack points are on your 944 and MK3 you are a joke.
I would personally cut a notch in the rubber blocks. Then set them on the quick jacks and use the pinch welds under the car close to rockers to lift it. This is actually a lift point for most of the audi’s (Porsche’s). If not I bet you can order a set of block made with notch’s already off Amazon. Just a thought but not sure if it would work cuz I don’t have a set of these yet 😂
C'mon! If you know your car, you should know its jacking points! Use them with the QJ... simple easy. A standard car jack does not come with a car list but I guess you did figure it out how to use it to change a tire, didn't you? I've just bought one for my 1963 Falcon, can't wait to get it! And I'm sure it will just work fine without having a reference from QJ where are my jacking point😊.

A little more help would definitely be helpful.
Really? Quickjack has a simple guide of what to measure. All it takes is a few minutes with a tape measure. It would take you less time than it took to make this video.
Their website gives you all the info you need to determine the correct lift. As far as lift points, their assumption must be that if you're willing to get under the car, you must own a manual that would have told you where to lift it from or a ten minute internet search asking where everyone else lifts theirs. "My fault for not doing my research before purchasing." Yes. Yes it is. This is up there with the people that knock Quickjack when they find out they need an air compressor to charge the cylinders.
I thought the problem would be too short of the wheel base and lift not fitting in between wheels. That would be really inconvenient. Lack of information is not an issue.

It does work with his car, he's just saying his car isn't on the booklet so it doesn't show the jack points but in reality you could just look it up and then adjust the quick jack to match up to it.
This is exactly why i haven’t purchased of a quckjack.. I have 5 different cars and SUVs.. To bad there’s no universal model.. Then it would be a no brainer and i do agree a simple drop down or a vehicle search to see which quickjack would be useful..
Same here. I have about 8 cars, it would probably work on them all. I’d just have to measure the shortest and the longest vehicles, but it would be better if the manufacturer provided information on this. Seems like it could end up as a liability for them. I’d like to have one, but this is why I have not bought one. If you call them, they don’t know either. Pretty sad.

Maybe if you can't figure out where your jack points are, you shouldn't be servicing your vehicle 😂🤡 Your inability to research YOUR OWN CAR isn't quickjack's fault. 👍
Any reasonable person can easily find spots to lift any car... New group of people who have to see it on an iPad instead of using their brain
You're a mechanic???😂.... you want some 🧀 with all that whine??
A drop down for every car that might be lifted. Yeah right. You're so knowledgeable but don't know your cars jack points?
That was a long video to say it doesn't work with your rare car.
It does work with his car, he's just saying his car isn't on the booklet so it doesn't show the jack points but in reality you could just look it up and then adjust the quick jack to match up to it.
@redd1th either way I bought it and it works great
Dudes garage is too clean he doesnt do anything 😂
He can't set a lift without a picture in a book, he's just a content maker who cosplays as a mechanic
This is exactly why i haven’t purchased of a quckjack.. I have 5 different cars and SUVs.. To bad there’s no universal model.. Then it would be a no brainer and i do agree a simple drop down or a vehicle search to see which quickjack would be useful..
I was able to use it on my Range Rover sideways... still can't use it (even sideways) on the 944...
Valid point. Tiene mucha razon
Pretty sad.
@@RockBottomGarage there is no way this small company can compile the thousands of different jack points for every vehicle ever made. Dude, you literally solved your own problem (measuring the smallest and largest vehicle) to determine which model you need. This isn't rocket science. They even have a video on their site showing you the exact things to measure. The whole process would take less than five minutes. You just sound lazy.
Nice Supra BMW joke.
At this point……he’s just making content for click purposes
"listing for a BMW" lolololololol
What was the point of this video? Im none the wiser 🤔
So you didn’t do your due diligence and it’s the product’s fault? Nice attitude 😂
He really just talk BS like he never said anything wrong with the dam jacks 🤣
I want my time back!!! Your video is a waste of time!!!
Complaining about nothing .. Have mercy
Get to the point mate. Did the jack lift the 944 or not? Christ what a waste of time.
What a baby. Sell your tools!
This guy loves to hear himself talk. 5 minutes of wasted time for something he could have said in 30 seconds.
This is complete rubbish.
The instructions are there. MEASURE YOUR CAR. If you're going as far as to do the level of maintenance on your car that requires a QuickJack then you should be able to use a tape measure and follow instructions.
useless video..lets frustarate together that there is no instructions for VAZ 2101 or GAS 66
Useless?? USELESS??? Had I not made this video, I would probably have never learned what a GAZ 66 is!!! Worth it to me!
I have never seen a jack that lists the cars it can lift. Use common sense. WAAAAAA !
Line with Toyota supra show you BMW because IT IS BMW. You just don't know this, alongside with many other (real world stuffs). You are just crying baby, there is really no problem whatsoever.
This is a nonissue.
This is probably the stupidest video on the quickjacks I have ever seen. Literally wasted 5 and a half minutes of my life I’ll never be able to get back
You need help. Go to corner and cry.
