  • SEVA , POTATO CURRY & PULISSERY RECIPE
    INGREDIENTS FOR SEVA
    Parboiled rice/ Any rice 300gm 1 ½ cup
    Salt to taste
    PREPARATION
    1.Wash, soak the rice overnight adding the salt.
    2.Drain it and grind nicely sprinkling water, upto tight idly
    mave consistency.
    3.Steam it in a steamer or idly cooker.
    4.Press down(extrude) through a seva pressing machine
    or idiyappa mould.
    5.Allow to cool to room temp as such.
    INGRDIENTS FOR CURRY
    1.Potato 4 - 5
    2.Big onion(cubed) 2 - 3
    3.Ginger (chopped) ½ - 1 “ piece
    4.Greenchilli/Slit 4 - 5
    5.Salt to taste
    6.Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
    SEASONING
    1.Oil 2 tbsp
    2.Mustard ½ tsp
    3.Red chilli cuts 5 - 6
    4.Blackgram dal 1 tbsp
    5.Curry leaves 2 - 3 twigs
    PREPARATION
    1.Boil the potato well, skin, cut and set aside.
    2.Season with the ingredients soute ginger and green chilli
    a little, soute big onion too.
    3.Add the cubed boiled potato, salt, and turmeric powder, again
    saute well.
    4.Add 1 cup water, again cook well, mash a little and set aside.
    Have seva with this dish and pulisserry along with a pappad.
