Hello, Dianeacaffee, Thank you! I am so happy it was easy for you to understand. My goal is to take the fear and and preceived difficulty out of pattern making. It really is not difficult and it is a HUGE amount of fun and completely liberates one in sewing clothing they like. I DO think this sleeve would be absolutely adorable on a normal blouse. Think of little girl's sleeves and these are very similar. If you want some body in it, then a fabric that will hold the gathers well. Cottons like batiste, lawn, men's shirting, and such would all work. If you used something soft and flimsy then the ruffle in the sleeve cap would help it. Hope this helps and Happy Sewing!
