That knotless dart technique was a real gem! I had to try it immediately, did a couple of test darts and it turned out great, it feels like I've been given a little wonderful secret. Thank you!
Hi, Skirtedgalleons! Thank you so much. I hope you do make them. It was great fun figuring it out. Nice to hear from you and best wishes in all sewing projects!
Another GREAT video, Sally! What a beautiful piece of sewing! There's a great deal of information to take in here especially in the actual sewing construction so I'll be watching it several times before attempting what looks a very challenging piece of sewing for an 'advaced beginner' - is that even a thing?
Hi, Marion! Thank you very much! I think, if you follow along in the patterning and sewing, you will find out it really is not as difficult as it seams! (😂) And, yes, I believe "advanced beginner" would be a fine term to use! Thanks for commenting and watching!
Hi, Reneen, The tops of the darts point away from each other a bit. Hope this helps! If you want to experiment, draw darts along a straight edge and fold them. The spread the tops a bit and do it again. This way you can decide how you want them to be sewn. Happy Sewing!
Wow! Stitching the darts with the bobbin thread is such a couture technique. I'm impressed.
Thank you, Clauselmilord, I appreciate the comment and that you watched it! Happy Sewing!

How exciting! You are now in the "Secret Society of Sewing"! Thanks for letting me know how this helped you and made you feel. Happy Sewing, BBL!
You always give such incredibly helpful and detailed information. I want to make these!

How can you tell in the original photo that the darts fan out? Thanks for the tutorial.

When adding the ruffle to the sleeve, I am assuming you baste that in?
Hi, Lighthseskr, Nice to hear from you! Yes, I baste them in - sew them by hand most of the time. Thank you for watching! Happy Sewing!
