MEMORIES!!! My first car was a 72' Comet GT this exact same color with a 302/Auto!! I knew these came with 302 and a 2-BBL, mine had a 4-BBL!! Started pulling numbers and doing some research, found it was a 69' 302, C-4 was HD with shift-kit and 3:90 gear in the rear!! Had the Magnum-500 wheels, rear wing and Black interior also. That car was a blast and I was always getting a thumbs-up from other drivers. Loved street-racing in it and loved surprising the unexpecting Fox Body Mustang driver in the next lane. Never got a time-slip for it unfortunately, got rained out the day I tried but there were bets from those that didn't know that figured I wouldn't run anything faster than a 15.0, yeah right!! "Stock" Mustangs could never pass me until after getting into 4th gear so I guesstimated that I was good for a High 13's to Low 14's. Even had a great run against my Dad's 68' Charger/383 and got him by 1/2 car!! I would buy another one of these Underestimated, Fantastic Automobiles in a Heartbeat if I could!!
My first car was a '72 Comet. Base model, no A/C, baby blue, looked like a grandma's car. But it had the 302! A perfect cheap, fun, and slightly dangerous car for a 16 year old. I made decent money racing the "rich kids" with their new malaise era Camaros and Firebirds. This GT is beautiful. Amazing original condition. The dash hasn't been cut for a stereo. Doors haven't been cut for speakers. The seat belt buzzer is even still hooked up! Sounds great, too. She'll make somebody a nice little sleeper!

My buddy in Johnstowm Pennsylvania had one of these back in 1986-1987
Wish I had kept mine, loved that car, that little 302 had some pep to it!
Would have been an excellent car for a Boss 302 motor
My first car a 1972 mercury, with a 250 inline 6 I always wanted to upgrade it to a V8 either a 302 Boss or a 351 m but the body wasn't the greatest
😎
do you have a driving video of this car, and how much is it?
I had one of these that was white and blue with the black interior and it was destroyed by a drunk driver.
