"He trains in his backyard. That's fun but not professional". The fuck? Training is training. Weights are weights. Your muscles don't know the difference between fancy equipment and whatever else. Your dedication is the only thing that matters.
Why cant some people understand that klinga cried at the end. For someone who had no professional help from coaches and pros, someone who started from the streets, beat a national athlete.
I agree with you 100%. I was rooting for him the "underdog" from the get go. I'm sure it was a powerful moment for him, he destroyed the other guy. I bet the other guy has his foot in his mouth now for saying " he's not professional"
But he is not a Street Workout athlet, he mix powerlifting, Calisthenics excercise And he goes at Gym too, just a Asshole thinks that his whole workout is at Home
"He trains in his backyard. That's nice n fun but not ptofessional". LOL! ...It's the work that matters not the words. Time to eat your words buddy! Klinga killed it!
They were both cocky, and it's part of the fucking sport. That dude did way better than you could ever dream of doing. Just enjoy the fucking video, would you rather they sit down for a cup of fucking tea and play dress up?
Yes the last pullups were painful but fun to watch. Both did the squats in 1 set which is pretty good. Klinga was pretty happy after the victory;) congrats that was impressive!
This world champion is probably worth nothing. Many people claim to be european or world champion....in fighting! There are many many different organisations, with many many different weight-classes....so its not sooo hard to become one. I was impressed as a teen when someone calls himself a kickboxing european champion...but today i am not...its mostly to push the ego
yep same as being called world champ in a generic non world level powerlifting fed. It doesnt count. Your only champ in your fed or country if its a big organisation.
By far my favorite episode of Strength Wars! A backyard dude with dreams and goals defeated a world champion like it wasn't nothing but a thing! RESPECT!!!
Dude finished *two complete exercise sequences* and moved on to the third before our "champ" could get _One_ done. That ...yo, that _had_ to be demoralizing.
I take it as an example of how having _balanced_ strength between being able to move your bodyweight and being able to push heavy plates needs to be struck. Can't really consider a guy strong if he can't do both to some degree.
Worst part of the video was the camera angles when the bodybuilder was squatting, it was impossible to see his depth, horrible. Im glad he lost tho, what a smart ass
Nope no wonky camera angles. You just need to spot his legs, if his glutes touches his calfs. That is ass to grass, full range of motion of squats. Not like what the bodybuilder do, half-assed squat.
Damn dude I was rooting for Fabi but Klinga definitely deserved this win. Dude is a true warrior, to be able to overcome not just status difference but to overcome someone with more experience in professional lifting.
Well to be fair Klinga didn't look like he did pure bodyweight workouts only though. He probably does alot of weightlifting too, except in his backyard.
+cedrik ouahnoun Yeah.I get what you mean but I guess I was referring to the fact that Klinga said his bench press is very very good.. So I assume that means he probably spends a lot of time in the gym doing weighlifting as well.... Hahaha 😂 cheers m8
Why do these body builders keep going up against dudes that lift for strength and/or functionality? 9 times out of 10, they're going to lose. Powerlifters = strength athletes. Strongman = strength athletes. Calisthenics = power/agility athletes. Body Builders = models. Some dudes train for performance. Others train to look good. That's okay. But don't get a big head, thinking you're going to beat the guy who works hard to work harder, when you work hard to look better.
Fife Man exactly ! i have been training for two years now , started off as a bodybuilder , then emerged Deadlifts and squats and heavy benching in my routine . The strength Nd power you gain is unbelievable . My priority now is strength over looks
most bodybuilders are very strong. i bodybuilded for two years and after that the first time i benched i did 245 for reps naturally. building so much muscle and not getting strong is pretty hard. but in these semi weight class fights its unfair to bodybuilders
+Peter Hofmann they both did high bar although fabian would actually benefit from a lower bar position. he might be experienced but he struggled with balance a lot due to excessive forward lean.
If you deadlift you have no need to do low bar squats, the parallel position of low bar squats is the same position as the start of the deadlift pull. High bar and deadlift are the way to go.
lol the bodybuilder looked like any cliche bad guy from a Disney movie. also he cheated on a lot of his reps on the pull ups. remember its chin over bar. no flopping like a fish outta water
How does the back yard workout guy squat 130kg+ outside the gym?! He was immense in all three exercises. Pull-ups were really good so we're the squats.... Good depth
I think it has to with balance and explosiveness. I hadn't performed squats ever and in one month I jumped to a 250 lb squat. I only practiced the lift 5 days during that month. I play a lot basketball so maybe jumping had something to do with it. As for over head press, I was damn impressed. He was an animal all through out the comp.
*Klinga sounds like "Klinge" wich is german and means "Blade". Blade. Axe-blade. Vikings.* *Klinga is a Viking!* You can hear his battlecry at 11:00 :)
He meant that the bodybuilder won four times in bodybuilding competitions so he's telling him not to come cocky with his "name/reputation" but instead try his hardest.
I think training in your backyard is irrelevant to one being 'professional' or not lol. You could easily have a power rack, barbell and do all the main compounds in your backyard
Judging by her position at 7:25, and the position of the barbell at 7:32, it didn't hit her. If it hit the platform however, the shake would be enough to scare her.
Well, he had to drop it because of that Yoke stuff. ^^ Also when your heart is racing like crazy because of these reps you dont pay attention to your surroundings that much. :D
Anyone can go to the gym and lift weights but not everyone wants to challenge their own body weight. I know I'm not the only one who would tremble while training similar to street workout. Klinga's form was spot on #BEAST
Don’t ever disrespect anyone who is unprofessional or seems to be weak. Most of the time great athletes play with big heart and great mind set. You don’t have to workout at higher platform unless it is necessary. This video proves it. Do great. Be great.
So many of the guys who compete in these things aren't smart enough to pace themselves properly. If you're at this level you should know your body well enough to never have a failed rep. A failed rep is such a massive waste of time and energy.
He also said "working out in your backyard isn't professional". What does that have to do with competing with someone? Never underestimate your opponent.
Agreed. While it may not be professional to work out in ones backyard, professionalism often has little to do with competition, and lack thereof should not lead to an underestimate of said competition.
It actually just highlights fabian's weaknesses and what he needs to improve on, comparing Klinga's shoulders and back to Fabian's, Klinga had more defined and massed shoulders back and upperchest, fabian has insane biceps and legs but his upperbody is really lacking.
You must not forget that fabian is a bodybuilder not a strength athlete. So his titles were not about strength. It was due to the size and definition of his muscles.
that's so stupid he's a body Builder and he won titles in , guess what... Bodybuilding he won't ever Win a title in strength Sport but that isn't a goal of him either
Looks extra safe to me. Much less chance of injury, since you don't have to pick it up from the floor or put it somewhere else when you're done and such.
Yeah but I meant the way it looks to almost hit you in the head from the start. I mean if you drop 80kg on top of your head I bet theres a high risk you break your neck or injure it badly?
By far my favorite battle! Klinga inspired me that it doesn't matter who your opponent is, a backyard lifter or a world class athlete, it matters how you train, not who you are.
5:54 20 reps of that squat with that huge wait really seems tough.. BTW Happy to see klinga Winning.i really wanted him to win..& Fabian should start training in his backyard lol..I hope he's doing now 😂

Darren McJelly truth to behold
Pullups separate the men from the boys. The "professional" lost this war in the first event.
brooo amen to wat yuh just said
Darren McJelly right
Darren McJelly EXACTLY

At the end he said, when he knelt down, that he was training for this, for precisely this moment, and bursted out into tears :)
Yep. So very true. Couldn't agree more there. Yet this again another case of a real life story between an underdog and a pro champ.
Caradhriastox yeah i like milk too
He didn't just beat a national athlete... he destroyed him!
Awesome to see Klinga win, you could see how badly he wanted it after he did. Amazing form, you never see pull ups and squats that good.
thank you very much. I really appreciate
klinga_streetlifting no problem man, great showing.
+klinga_streetlifting you are a beast!
his friends said he was always on beastmode ahah
Nick Sibilla I subbed hope you can support me back with a sub:)
Losing against a guy who trains in his backyard is not professional.

Haha!! 😂😂

I loveee seeing cocky people get humiliated
Its a beautiful thing!

+German Big you are right you know. There is on united organisation for such things. It's too bad 😕
yeah, in my small city there are (!!!) world and Europe champions and they are fighters of some kind
The world champ also used a weight-lifting belt whereas the other guy just used those natural cables in his back.
yep same as being called world champ in a generic non world level powerlifting fed. It doesnt count. Your only champ in your fed or country if its a big organisation.

Shenruss that because the fucktard champ doesn't do the most important strenght exercise aka pull ups

Shenruss yeah there are guys big as fuck who bench a lot but can't do pull ups or dips or push ups
Fridge Gamer For Real. You should check out the Jaxblade Video "Which Superhero physique is best" ; he does a _very good_ analysis of both.
How does it feel now Mr. Professional ? Professional my ass...
exactly what i was thinking😂😂
exactly
LOL
Don't be a fool. He's not a professional in Strength Wars. He is professional in his own respect.
ahaha professional my balls ahahahaha
Did anyone else notice how much deeper the Street Lifter was squating compared to the Bodybuilder.
and with no belt too...^^
thats what street workout is all about. FULL RANGE OF MOTION ;)
Not like what the bodybuilder do, half-assed squat.
yes
Klingas's form was fuckin amazing, especially at pulls ups
Dude hell yes! His core was straight as an arrow - very impressive.
i liked his squats especially

His form is superb and he's strong as fuck ;). Approved soldier!!
His squat form was perfect too. Ass to grass.

Klinga form is better in all exercises, best athlete won today.
yeah perfect form on squats while fabian was barely hitting depth squatting lowbar, much higher pullups and better endurance overall.

I think training in your backyard is irrelevant to one being 'professional' or not lol. You could easily have a power rack, barbell and do all the main compounds in your backyard
When Klinga drops the barbell after the squats check out the camera girls face at 7min 32, she looked scared, probably thought she was gonna get hit.
Just type 7:32 it will link to that part of the video
It hit the platform she's standing on. She was startled.
don't be afraid. 100% sure nobody was hit! but it surely felt like an earthquake right beside cornelia ritzke who was filming.

So good had to watch again,..the moment when you realized you've should've been training in the backyard.
I love it when the unexpected happens and the underdog wins! Klinga has amazing form tho I wish I had that body
klinga was a beast , great pace , great stamina perfect form, clean reps.
My favorite line was from Klinga, "It's not about bringing your name. It's about bringing your game. Right?"
You guys should do a poll before the competition, on who the community thinks is going to win!
A lot of proffesional strongman is training in their backyards. One of them is Brian Shaw.
Finally, someone with integrity to do.every exercise correctly down to.the last rep. Amazing work Klinga!

Losing to a calisthenics guy isn't professional lol
He does more than calisthenics.
He also said "working out in your backyard isn't professional". What does that have to do with competing with someone? Never underestimate your opponent.
^^Very True
Agreed. While it may not be professional to work out in ones backyard, professionalism often has little to do with competition, and lack thereof should not lead to an underestimate of said competition.
The calisthenics guy does powerlifting and chin-ups, the bodybuilder does curls and light Pec dec drop sets to look more bodybuilder like.
