That was a really thrilling battle and I really was with Puni on this one. Has a job that involves manual labor, yet works out like hell and pulls 310kg at 95kg BW, that´s just insane. A well deserved win and one of the best Strength Wars episodes this year!
Darrell Hardy if he hasnt done that 310 deadlift in competition it does not count, and even if it did the guy is juicing, fuck him and his half squats and weak press lel
Yeah the strongman was going ass to grass and the bodybuilder was going to parallel, obviously the strongman had to work much harder, even though he did not have to.
Because the strongman was doing a full ROM squat. None of the squats the bodybuilder did should have counted as he hit parallel on very few and he never stood straight up. The strongman's squats should have been 2 to the bodybuilders 1.
I mean, they are eastern European. I know a Russian soccer player who's 24 who plays in a US college, pretty sure he's not on anything cause he doesn't lift very much and his conditioning isn't impressive, and looks like he's mid or late 30s.
Majority of the people on this series and at top levels are on roids; it's a given. The squats were shitty but at least the bodybuilder was cheering on the strongman in the last exercise - who won anyway :)
STFU pls these people are atleast trying to do something, to build something for us ..going for their dreams ! what you do ? you are sitting behind the pc and hate because of a name .. thats says enough i think..
I love how the audience and the host, kept distance and left the scene for the competitors, but still cheering like that.. nice vid, thanks for uploading! :)
got bilateral hernia 2 days ago and im having surgery in a few days. Saw the upload and hesitated to watch since i didnt want to bum myself out even more; but man this got me even more pumped for a speedy recovery to the gym. Thanks strength wars!
+Peter Hofmann Yeah obviously they train with good form but it's way easier to do half reps than complete I'm only saying that we need better judges so the battles are fair
huge respect for the strongman for doing full reps. And his life style working for hours a day now this is good old raw power and he truly represents what a strongman name means
no mate, i mean pure physiologicaly with many aspects correctly done by ideal anatomy movement, bit of kinezilogy. its so different, this and powerlift of other power sports does not come together at all.
classic david vs goliath..... being almost 20 kilos lighter....hats off to Puniman.... one of the most nail biting endings ever.... just kept me on the edge of my seat all throughout... loved it!!!!! keep it up guys!!! :)
the left guy did only half reps... seriously... you should make strinkt rules as it comes to deadlift and squats.... otherwise its not balanced by any means... every deadlift and squat without logout at the end is a failed attempt period! and its not like they do max weight attempts... so plz dont say "form doesnt matter as long as you push or pull the weight... thats bullshit... were in the 20 rep range... so form matters...
Wtf is wrong with all of you? At a proper Squat your legs have to be at 90° or more, which the left guy did. I do understand that they shouldnt count some of those log presses he did, but Squats were OK
You guys been giving all fans out there something so unique and original. Shame on those who are copying this idea of your and have started there own Bodybuilding wars.
+Bug Hunters They both dont use them. At least its possible to look like that without taking any shit (except creatine). You guys who only watch youtube and dont workout seriously are just looking for excuses why you are so skinny/fat.
***** Do cardio.... for muscular cardio endurance though, do high reps with low rest time in between sets. The problem with cardio is that it will hinder you from getting gains but you'll be ripped af. The problem without cardio is if you get into a fight then you'll gas withing 15-30 seconds. Everybody trains their body for different reasons but training for cardio is the healthiest overall.
Strongman won, bodybuilder lost. Its not just always about size and strength, you also need endurance and stamina to overcome your opponent and that is what the strongman did.
+Guido Jorge yeh man they take lots of it but there is a limit to how big and in shape you can get but with roids you can be as big as you want to as ripped as you want to. When you get on this path then you need to take responsibility and do your research properly.
For my blind fellow youtubers. He did go parallel but he didn't lock out. That looks perfect for a bodybuilder, they should had told him that he has to lockout
+Jw Anderson yes they do, that's one of the main benefits of steroids, They help you work out longer and harder. A strong man is always gonna beat a bodybuilder, strength and endurance is what they train for whereas a bodybuilder trains for size and aesthetics
+Jw Anderson yes they do, that's one of the main benefits of steroids, They help you work out longer and harder. A strong man is always gonna beat a bodybuilder, strength and endurance is what they train for whereas a bodybuilder trains for size and aesthetics
awesome comeback from puniman! he's leighter, he's smaller, he did the better squads and he won - even with the disadvantage of an enemy with unclean reps. awesome!
+Vegtech you can see a major "flaw" in most of the training programs utilized by bodybuilders. Most go heavy in benchpress, deadlifts and squats, but when it comes to shoulder training, they rely too much on light exercises like lateral raises and such, resulting in weak overhead movements. Do some OHP guys!!
My exact thoughts. We have a couple of bodybuilders in our gym and none of them does OHP or behind the neck press, which are both great exercises for building strength and mass. Instead they go for lat raises and cable cross exercises.
You guys really need to set stricter standards for what counts as a completed squat: the strongman was hitting full depth on every rep, whereas, from what it looked like, the bodybuilder wasn't even breaking parallel on some reps.
Natural Strength Natural scrub cant conjure up any other reason for what he observes but steroids. Roomed with a Russian soccer player in college, not really strong and decent conditioning, looks like 35 instead of 23. Eastern European and northern ones look a lot like this. Get cultured.
+NeonBornSpartan Are you insinuating that either of these guys are not on tons of gear? or trying to say it's normal for an "eastern European" 23 year old to look 35?
Natural Strength second option of what you just stated. I definitely believe the pavel guy is on roids, idk of puni, probably tho. I've seen Romanians who look 25ish and are in reality like 42. you cant try predicting ages as easily with these guys like americans is all I'm saying.
I shouldn't be watching this shit in the library. Now I'm fucking pumped when I have to sit still and look at some powerpoints.
lol best comment
its like taking a period workout and trying to take an exam
Same situation rn
ahhahahaha
Fred pumped to do half squats and still fail lol
That was a really thrilling battle and I really was with Puni on this one. Has a job that involves manual labor, yet works out like hell and pulls 310kg at 95kg BW, that´s just insane. A well deserved win and one of the best Strength Wars episodes this year!
Agreed
Puni had much stricter movements as well.
Definitely. Proper depth and he wasn´t even push pressing the log. Strict pressing a 90kg log is badass as fuck.
Darrell Hardy song 0:51
Darrell Hardy if he hasnt done that 310 deadlift in competition it does not count, and even if it did the guy is juicing, fuck him and his half squats and weak press lel
This is how fights should be solved
best battle in a while!
you guys really need to get a bit tighter judging the squats though...
Yea you could tell Pavel was definitely not going ass to grass
technically pavels thighs are parallel so its fair
Yeah the strongman was going ass to grass and the bodybuilder was going to parallel, obviously the strongman had to work much harder, even though he did not have to.
You're right, the bodybuilder wasn't even going parallel, kind've bullshit lol
Complete Bagel looooooool the bodybuilding was not anywhere near paralell
wow much respect to the powerlifter who was out weighted and banged every rep. body builder quarter squatting smh
strongman. not powerlifter
strongnigga not strongman. broken finger and 'out repped' at beginning, still wins. unless pav and puni had a deal.
wtf Julian
Pavel encouraging his opponent... so much respect!! Great battle, both giants.
I accidentally looked at the comments before watching the video. Fuck.
I know it's tempting but when it comes to "Versus" videos I never look at the comment section anymore :p
You learned a lesson the hard way :D
ik how you feel
because thats what happened to me too :(
That sucks! Lol. Cause you lose the anticipation of the comeback. Which is the best part. 😱
Me too
I think the bodybuilder never went below parallel on his squats
sooooo true
MAYBE so, but if the strongman was so strong, why didn't he do his squats faster?
Because the strongman was doing a full ROM squat. None of the squats the bodybuilder did should have counted as he hit parallel on very few and he never stood straight up. The strongman's squats should have been 2 to the bodybuilders 1.
Joe Karaszewski true
bludika because half rep is way easier than a full range of motion rep
23 yrs old? more like 33
25? more like 45 years old
too much steroid less vitamin c for skin 😂
worst episodes in strength wars ! bring romano and tetzel and other guys
he is 33 years old look at 1:06
I mean, they are eastern European. I know a Russian soccer player who's 24 who plays in a US college, pretty sure he's not on anything cause he doesn't lift very much and his conditioning isn't impressive, and looks like he's mid or late 30s.
It's all about the hormones. Specific of Eastern Europe. I'm ukrainian. I don't use anything, but I look like 30 yo when I'm only 21.
Good sportsmanship between these two guys.
good sportsmanship?? dude the bodybuilder only did half squats
worst sportsmanship ever haha
Both dudes cheating with all kinds of roids and then the taller one even half repping the squats
Majority of the people on this series and at top levels are on roids; it's a given. The squats were shitty but at least the bodybuilder was cheering on the strongman in the last exercise - who won anyway :)
Steroids are only cheating if it's against the rules. They don't have rules so it's not cheating.
Sportmanship has nothing to do with technique...
Nice comeback. Bodybuilder had questionable squats and overhead press
I'm looking forward to the Couch Potato vs Keyboard Warrior battle...
This is REAL!! This is the FUTURE!! This is STRENGTH WARS!!!
Biggest honor to be a part and push our athletes UP! (y) CZECH WARRIORS!!!
Swag?? SWAGLIFT...Really? no thanks
everyone from swaglift is bigger than you so shut the fuck up
cringe
The thruly Friday motivation
STFU pls these people are atleast trying to do something, to build something for us ..going for their dreams ! what you do ? you are sitting behind the pc and hate because of a name .. thats says enough i think..
I love how the audience and the host, kept distance and left the scene for the competitors, but still cheering like that..
nice vid, thanks for uploading! :)
I'll skip the squat and steroid debate... This was a fcking intense fight!! Congrats to both guys!! Great WAR
got bilateral hernia 2 days ago and im having surgery in a few days. Saw the upload and hesitated to watch since i didnt want to bum myself out even more; but man this got me even more pumped for a speedy recovery to the gym. Thanks strength wars!
Can we please have a weightlifter for the next Strength Wars?
athletes themselves ask to come, so if there are not many weightlifters is because they dont want to
There was this tiny little weightlifter on one of the older videos who went squatted nearly on par with Romano. It was sick.
+Cameron Malek Romano is a beast
he was a national level weightlifter haha not so tiny. There is also a video of him jerking like 200+ Kg on this channel I believe
/watch?v=eSxC7n2Xtgw
This was the best one yet! Awesome comeback
Spoiler Alert!!... One does pussy squats. And one does badass log lifts!!
if you can do squats with that weight and better technic you can talk otherwise shut the fuck up
*mic drop*
Mistaken Dandere do not waste your time arguing with czech kids lol
+Peter Hofmann Yeah obviously they train with good form but it's way easier to do half reps than complete
I'm only saying that we need better judges so the battles are fair
lol sounds like somebody is buthurt :D
Holy shit, this was a good competition. It was good for him that the last two lifts were strongman style, because he crushed those. Very impressive.
Half squat from the left guy...
yes
Dream About it... Beran dont know half squat :)
Nope. He squats with squat king. He know how to do it ;)
:D Half squat. Did you ever see powerlifting competition squats ?
Comparto tu opinión... Pavel hace media sentadilla y en el press no llega a la vertical completamente... de todas maneras es una bestia
superb... i just loved it... i will tell all my friends about this channel
huge respect for the strongman for doing full reps. And his life style working for hours a day now this is good old raw power and he truly represents what a strongman name means
I cheered for the strongman all the way. when he won i shouted "YES!" and everyone at my house stared at me like i was some shit. hahaha
Nice and well deserved victory for the strongman. Bodybuilder squats were absolutely shit.
Yes. But the problem is the judges allows!!!
It is powerlifting squat
i bet you have no idea how physiologicaly squat should look like, no one done it correctly in this video
Aleš Chytil i know how it should look like, and i know what they have done is still fine
no mate, i mean pure physiologicaly with many aspects correctly done by ideal anatomy movement, bit of kinezilogy. its so different, this and powerlift of other power sports does not come together at all.
Never give up, that's the spirit.
Asi bych se posral :D Neuvěřitelné výkony !!!
komus fandil? :)
this was the best episode yet, comeback!
classic david vs goliath.....
being almost 20 kilos lighter....hats off to Puniman....
one of the most nail biting endings ever....
just kept me on the edge of my seat all throughout...
loved it!!!!!
keep it up guys!!! :)
Not a single squat done by that bodybuilder guy, not locked, not below parallel.
Go and look for other videos of Pavel Beran, you'll see, how he can squat (even 300kg)
Actually you break down more muscle tissue if you go "ass to grass"
+NOOBeliminator Depends on what you want to target more.
That is not how we do it. Please don't make a crossfit out of bodybuilding. We do proper squats, ass to grass.
I guess you don't touch the bar on your chest when benching, right?
Respect to both of them. There was not a cocky one, and Pavel even cheered up Punimam when he was loosing
bradley martyn vs romano
thats random as fuck.
I was thinking about 5 minutes to read this maan
seyit çolak that doesnt really make sense what you just said.
you were thinking 5 minutes to read this?
would be sick to see all these famous people in this show. BM for example
+Leetu yeah bro if bm in this show that will be so interesting
this whole strength wars episode with broken fingers deserve a WOW !
This guy screaming "Kurva" at 7:15 made me laugh tbh lol
Great heart, strong come back. Rare victory for someone who falls behind into the 3rd round. Very well done and well deserved win.
Lex Luthor finally lift some weight.
Flex Luthor
Hell yeah that has probably been one of the best strength wars ever
80% comments bodybuilder didnt go deep enough in squats
20% Puniman is a beast xd
100% Roids are one hell of a drug
That was the closest battle I have witnessed on Strength Wars! Max respect lads!
Love how the host always tries to be sooooo macho :D
I like how the host goes from being bad ass to suddenly having a huge smiley face in the matter of 1 second haha :D
The strongman deserved that win so badly, since the Bodybuilder "cheated" on squats by not going to parallel and lock out at the top
look again he was going parallel
+vilka8 Well technicly he stopped a tiny bit higher than parallel, which made it easy for him to do it in a fluid motion
+vilka8 no he wasnt.
+ralle tp the onlyy prob is he didnt lock out but his depth was parallel
+ThumbWiggler lol that was not parallel.
Easily the best and most enjoyable episode I've ever seen.
the left guy did only half reps... seriously...
you should make strinkt rules as it comes to deadlift and squats....
otherwise its not balanced by any means...
every deadlift and squat without logout at the end is a failed attempt
period!
and its not like they do max weight attempts...
so plz dont say "form doesnt matter as long as you push or pull the weight...
thats bullshit... were in the 20 rep range... so form matters...
Wtf is wrong with all of you? At a proper Squat your legs have to be at 90° or more, which the left guy did. I do understand that they shouldnt count some of those log presses he did, but Squats were OK
i dont speak about his depths idiot...
his depths was ok...
but he had no lockout at the end...
I agree, but at the same time the strongmen had horrible form while going up (looking at those knees)
so what? at least its legal.
The guy on the left didn't break parallel squat, therefore it should not count
You guys been giving all fans out there something so unique and original. Shame on those who are copying this idea of your and have started there own Bodybuilding wars.
a strongman will always finish being strong
Damn. Puni lived up to that Superman shirt. Super form on the squats and did the farmer's hold in one go!
Dominik Sky to strength wars!
One of the best yet.
BB: quartersquat.
strongman: sit down, ass to the grass with weight.
This is the fuckin realest youtube channel out there
You mean steroids vs strongman?
no, steroids vs steroids, but is not only drugs
Do you think that strongmans don't use steroids, peptides and other illegal stuff ? YOU ARE WRONG.
+Bug Hunters They both dont use them. At least its possible to look like that without taking any shit (except creatine). You guys who only watch youtube and dont workout seriously are just looking for excuses why you are so skinny/fat.
+Drawsler lol, look the bb shoulder, too many swollen for a natural
you propably never saw hims trainings.. he never used steroids.
A good way to settle any disagreement. No one gets hurt....well kinda and get a good workout in!
Post the name of the music from now on.
Holy smokes! Well, that was an exciting battle! Much respect from Poland to my Czech cousins!
Man you should do larry wheels vs faceless😍
Who agree wit me??
Larry wheels is far above faceless...
T
Wow I was expecting a much better performance by that massive bodybuilder. He was looking so helpless towards the end :o
Wtf was that? Bodybuilder just surrendered.
Cardiovascular fail.
***** Do cardio.... for muscular cardio endurance though, do high reps with low rest time in between sets. Finally this is the good wrost loved war ever i seen in this channel........
badass..........
Bruh!!!!!! Seriously Strength Wars, just make Tetzel permanent Narrator/Announcer.
LMFAO "FRED" thanks for the Laugh Man that was Great! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bodybuilder won. I can see the future
i'm sorry
nop
Nope B-b-b-b-bitch 😂😜

+Guido Jorge yeh man they take lots of it but there is a limit to how big and in shape you can get but with roids you can be as big as you want to as ripped as you want to.
When you get on this path then you need to take responsibility and do your research properly.
Hardly seen such intensity. Respect bros!
angličtina na velké úrovní....cmon ez cmon show him a furt dokola
+pstruh103 chce to nějaký chytrý video..

Zničilo ma, keď som si to predstavil :D
Amazing victory for the humble guy, well played
This puny man guy's name is really misleading
what a couple of beasts!!! That was straight up pure strength and guts, awesome videos as always guys.
What is the music when the screen turns red and their names pop up like : ... VS ...
at 3:04, anyone know?
who knows?
thats why im asking :)
For my blind fellow youtubers. He did go parallel but he didn't lock out. That looks perfect for a bodybuilder, they should had told him that he has to lockout
What's the Name of the song playing at 5:15?
i fell for this shit and wasted 20 min....
Rizako HD name song bro?
Massive respect for Puniman, at his weight disadvantage still performing that well.
pune has some serious steroid acne
I thought it was from working around coal(breathing it in) for 13 hours a day
+Jw Anderson yes they do, that's one of the main benefits of steroids, They help you work out longer and harder. A strong man is always gonna beat a bodybuilder, strength and endurance is what they train for whereas a bodybuilder trains for size and aesthetics

yes, I've seen many guys with acne like that at my local gym, but they're also fucking huge
lol you think either one of these guys are clean?
I love close matches, like this one.
0:50 song please

What a heroic victory. Loved it
SONG AT 5:15 PLEASE!!!!!!!
one of the best SW i've seen
No on sa len prizeral.
awesome comeback from puniman! he's leighter, he's smaller, he did the better squads and he won - even with the disadvantage of an enemy with unclean reps.
awesome!
why is the strong man strict pressing the log?
Because he's a fucking beast
because he's stronger

Fred Blones 0:51 song?
One of the best ones I’ve seen
1:06 im 33 years old and 1:27 AGE 23???
he says twenty-three idiot..
he is 23..
He is 23 cock
I'm so glad the strongman took it. Other dude came off way too cocky!! Right on brother!! 👍
Wtf was wrong with Pavel? If he didn't rest for so long he could've won.
farmer was the problem for him i think
great video guys
would anyone know the song at 4:00
awesome guys.keep on uploading videos.Fun watching it.
the bodybuilder's squats were kinda crappy. not deep enough... poor technique overall.
So happy that he beat that quarter squater. That guy showed heart.
Name of song? From 0:51

i'm always stunned how much older they look than they are. they look like mid 30's
they're eastern European, not surprising
+NeonBornSpartan Nothing to do with the gear they're on, that we know for sure.

Pavel beran vs Puniman=THIS IS FIGHT !
bez Jonáše to bylo suchý
I enjoyed watching this....Great challenge...for all.
Bodybuilder didn't want to win. He was telling to strongman - Comonn broo comonn do it. He had only 2 left but he was waiting for strongman.
What a fucking come back!
