I’ve viewed several of these Army vs AF drumlines and generally, imo, Army is two steps ahead. The group is more energetic, they’re having fun, the routines are more ‘funky.’ AF seems more stiff, group doesn’t appear to be having fun, routines are shorter and not as ‘funky.’ The variety of funky styles played by Army is what impressed me the most.
My respect to ALL the armed forces. But with that said,I ask, why? WHY does Army destroy it every time???? Army NEVER loses a battle. Never. I stand in AWE of you magnificent young people. You are ALL our heroes.
Way better within first few notes than army navy 2016 , granted sound quality wasn't that great , but could still hear cadences were better prepared and executed. It's not like none of the armed forces don't know these competitions are almost more watched than the games . I actually was nodding my head and enjoying this shorter battle compared to Army-Navy 2016
Thank you sir for the reply , always nice to know the uploaders respond and notice things . Keep up the great uploads , by chance are there practice videos and such , granted they could easily be stolen and used against, but a great conductor only uses practice to make perfect . Plus a really great one would use them as deception ;) now that would be military like .
Personally I don’t think either one sounds that clean. When I was in high school, we were the cleanest snare line ever...and we still hold that title - class of 04.
Go Army! Sounded good; Armys snares needed to go a bit higher in my opinion but the base and tenors sound great. Airforces snares were too high and the tenors were way to low.
Much love to them for the service, but the basses need to figure out how to not use their elbows, and to hit in the right spot on the drum. Snares need to hold traditional correctly and have even tones. Tenors need to hit a third of the way in from the rim on the head, and nkt in the center. No hate, just constructive criticism.
That wasn't an audio problem..... your equipment just couldn't take the sheer awesomeness of our boys and girls in uniform! ;)
LOL at the AF officer trying to figure out when he should hit the cow bell.
that's brig gen williams, the commandant of cadets at AF LOL
He really needs to explore the studio space... MORE COWBELL!!
Needs more cow bell
coolRunner13, definitely more cowbell 😬

The Filipino guy playing snare for Army is one of my former students. It warms my heart to see him enjoying himself so much in this video!

ARMY OWNED THIS ONE!!
And this is how wars should be fought
6:22 If ur wondering, that cadence is called “Smokestack”. My high school drumline does it(I’m a snare) which is how I recognize it.

This was fun to watch,,,There were smiles while they played! I LOVE seeing that, FUN!!
I’ll admit, the Air Force had a cool stick tape design. I’m really liking it
They stepped up the flavor this year lol
They get better every year XD
Great cinematography!
lol everyone played so dirty. I think I need to shower now lol
osvaldo vargas bruh I don't understand why military drumlines are so dirty, but all their orchestral percussion ensembles are dope.
The ending made it a lot better.
Especially loved the last minute of that (all together)!
Army had to make up for that ass whoopin they caught
My respect to ALL the armed forces.
But with that said,I ask,why?
WHY does Army destroy it every time????

Duh this is army collage band
Got to love our military they kick butt and rock
They should definitely think about tuning those drums especially the tenor heads to fix the "audio problem"
I like the quality of the filter it's like on a movie
Is there a way I can join the army drum line such as an audition form?

Army always wins, because of their outfits 👌😘🥰😘
5:55 looks like me at school playing with my pencil.
Army for the win!!!!
army drumline is the best !!!
Hunter LaPaglia lmao you're dead wrong lol. Army did more than 8th and 16th notes unlike af
2:51 you could just see the girl just pop out of the crowd
Pop goes the Weasel lol
GO ARMY!
i dont think ive ever seen the airforce win a drumline battle
Army owned this one
The army dominated
They should do these kinds of things with brass

They had the ambulance for Air Force because of the music waves that will hurt them
You'd think -- being 'military' academies and all -- that they'd have some decent uniforms around.
POGS.
