@@jamie_dag yes!! Check your state and others. In Ohio, you can get a card from any library as long as you can prove you are a resident. Maybe it’s like that everywhere 🤷🏾♀️

Life hack: you can send PDF and EPUB files to your Kindle too incase you have any ebooks downloaded that way! ;)
So wait- if I download free book pdf’s from my phone, I can transfer it to my kindle too? But then like whats the point of kindle if I can read from phone or ipad? Genuine question.

@@Someone-zk9tb The Kindle is made specifically for reading, which is why it has an e-ink screen which looks very close to paper, so it doesn't have that glare of a phone screen that might make your eyes hurt. It also has no distractions, like notifications popping up on your screen, and the size of the screen looks more like a page of a book, so it's more square than a phone screen. Also as a reader, personally I love having a special place for my books, that is not just an app on my phone. There are probably a lot more reasons
KU is DEFINITELY worth it and whoever told you they only have books people don’t want to read is crazy! Get it!

I agree!! I been using KU for almost 3 years and is worth every penny!! This is where I find all these new indie romance authors. Mostly all my romance authors are in KU and what’s great is I read the book in KU first if I love them I buy the paperback to add in my bookcase.

Kindle paperwhite is so worth it. I only buy physical books if its an absolute fave but generally Kindle is so convenient and especially at night, it's so easy to read on.
Hi, I just ordered for my very first Kindle (Paperwhite 11th Gen). I am ridiculously confused about which power adapter I can use to charge it 😅. Would a Samsung adapter work? I am just incredibly paranoid about the wattage). Any help would be great. Thanks! 😅😅

Hey, I have a paper white kindle myself and yes kindle unlimited is the best… With the Kindle Unlimited you can read whatever your want for free with paying like $10 a month. Can’t beat that. I love my Kindle ❤ It’s funny because after I purchased mine I still buy physical books too. 😂

This is how I felt when I transitioned from physical books to my iPad. Not the biggest fan of the kindle app but the books app has my heart.
i also love the apple books app it's so good, and the curling page animation makes reading on there so fun !!
OMG SAME before I was so adamant on only read physical books but when Im tight on money I resort to ebook and I love it more than I think I could. Im glad for the transition😂🎉
I too am a physical book girly but i’ve had my kindle for 6 months now and I love it! I find myself reaching for it more and more! I read much faster on it and it’s great for reading at night in bed! Get KU it’s amazing and has so many popular books and it usually has a 3 month free trial!!

I bought a regular kindle 2022 and I am in LOVE. I've been watching videos like these for over a year and wanted it so bad. I am a big reader and have been reading on my old Samsung tablet, but the kindle is a whole upgrade from it. It no longer hurts to read for long stretches of time and it feels so nice to have a device devoted to reading. Plus I'm saving so much money reading because I get all my books online for free! I'm so glad I bought it.
ALSO for the girlies who want to save a bit of cash, just get a Kindle Kids and exit the profile. That's what I did and I saved $40.

Kindle Unlimited is truly worth every cent. Now I'm trying to hold out until Prime Day but you guys are making it so hard. I had the10th gen but gave it to my niece since i am going to get the Agave Signature.
Before you make a decision about KU, please look into books a trillion! I just became a member in May but so far I’m beyond thrilled with it. It’s a one time fee for a lifetime membership and you have unlimited access to all their titles…..and if you’re looking for something they don’t have, you can request 3 per month. It took a couple of weeks for some of my requests but I got all 6 that I requested in May and June. If that’s not enough, they also allow you to share. I was super skeptical but I haven’t purchased an ebook since I signed up and I feel the need to share the joy😊

Kindle Unlimited has a bunch of popular books, stuff people's talking about or stuff you'd see on TikTok. But the thing I also really love is I feel like it encourages you to give things a try sometimes that you otherwise wouldn't have ever known about or heard of

Hey lovely, I’m not sure if anyone else had commented this before but there is two fixes to your two “cons”. First of all you can turn off the feature where it shows other people’s highlights in settings and secondly I think it’s such a great idea to get Kindle unlimited if you’re worried about spending too much money buying the physical copy of the book and the digital copy because Kindle unlimited has a heap of books and you can legit read as many as you want every month, it it’s so much cheaper 😊

There’s ummmmmm many fr33 copies in the internet for ebook/epubs. That’s kind of how I got around that money problem cuz I’m the same way. If I really love it and it’s a fav I want to buy the physical copy 😅
Why do people automatically think they have to choose between kindle and paperbacks?
I’ve boughten books paperback that was only 2.99 on sale rather than paying 15.99 on kindle. And vice versa. Plus I still go to the library.
You do not need to choose. I read double. I read a lot on my ereader and a lot paperback.
You can turn off the other people highlighting thing in the book settings.....Just try to delve into the settings of the book you'll find some amazing things

You may have already figured this out, but I just saw another review of this Kindle, and they showed that in the settings you can turn off the popular highlights feature so it won't tell you what sections other readers commonly highlight.

KU is DEF worth it. You can actually read over 200 million books, including really popular booktok books and romances. It’s definitely not just boring, random books but it’s so worth it. Honestly, I was scared to join it but I was immediately impressed and now I’m not ashamed to say my kindle is my bff. 😂
I was unsure about KU as well, as I don't really like to read dark or smutty romances but I can see that KU has changed its demographic a bit to accommodate more popular booktok books like Lucy Score, etc. I'm not the type of person to pay regular price for it so maybe look out for a 3 month discounted deal or free trial for 30 days.

I ordered my first Kindle (Paperwhite) in Denim and love it. I live at the beach, so I love the fact that I can read outside on it. I download my books from the library and still read physical books also.

At 51 it took me forever to embrace the ereader phenom lol I was always a physical book person. But I have loved my kindle paperwhite for years now. It’s introduced me to so many authors I wouldn’t have found without the kindle. I have had KU for several years and love it. So what I’ve done for the last 3-4 years read through KU and if I like the book I will buy the ebook and if I LOVE it I will also buy the paperback for my bookshelves. Now my shelves are filled with books I already love!!

I have KU and LOVE it!!! I am able to discover so many different books and if I don’t like the book I don’t feel like I am out anything.

I got a kindle to save money as well and I don't have KU, but I connected my kindle to my library through libby!! the only con I see to that is that sometimes you have to wait awhile for books but in the name of saving money i can totally wait!
I also love the "how long u have left in the chapter". By clicking the bottom left corner in the normal page view u can choose this or other things to be shown there at all time. It motivates me to be like "just one more chapter"

Absolutely get a screen protector since you don’t have the kind of case that folds over the screen. When I first got my kindle I didn’t think about it and I took my kindle everywhere with me and unfortunately scratched my screen really bad from putting it in my bags and what not. Also I would definitely recommend kindle unlimited! It has so many book options for every genre! Totally worth it!
I totally recommend the KU there’s a lot of books available. No Exit, housemaid, in the jam, serpent wings night I could go on and on. 😊📚💕 I like using kindle at night especially. When I love the book in KU I buy them 😂 I also log in to my library online and check out books to read online or audio at no cost
I have seen a lot of big authors on KU, I have KU and love it. I read romance and Lauren Asher’s books are on there, Alexis Hall, etc. Definitely worth it!

I only borrow ebooks, never buy. Most libraries offer access to at least one free ebook service. If I'm not sure if I'll like a book enough to own it, I borrow it to read it, and then put it on my to-buy list if I love it.

Giiiirl it took me so long to go to kindle, i didn't want it digital book cuz i like physical ones, it took me get a hand-me-down kindle from my friend bc se bought another one and she was like "do you want this one?" Honestly I got my first Kindle way back in like 2011 I think? 2012? And it was primarily because I traveled a lot and books are /heavy/. (I since lost that kindle in a move from Australia -> US and bought a 10th Gen on a Black Friday sale a couple years ago)
Whoever is saying KU isn't worth it is using like 2014-19 information from when it was not very good pre-pandemic. It's so worth it now.
I don’t have KU but I do have Libby. You can upload your library card and get free books instead of paying for KU. But I’ve heard that KU is worth it so it’s definitely up to you!

I don’t have Kindle Unlimited. I just don’t like it because if you cancel your Kindle Unlimited subscription all books you got through it will be cancelled from your library…which means you don’t own the books you read, and that’s a hard no for me. That’s why I prefer paying the one-time price and _buy_ the books I want, which I get to keep forever….it also feels more convenient and less expensive in the long run than the subscription.

Do you know how to get to the beginning without scrolling all the way to the first page? I can’t figure this out. 🤦♀️ can’t imagine we would have to scroll to the beginning

I don’t need Kindle unlimited. It's worth it if you read more than 5 books per month, which doesn't always happen. Sometimes I read 4 books in a month, then maybe I don't read anything for 2 months. I can find the books on amazon almost everywhere for free, so again, I don't see the point. If I'm interested in a particular book and I can't find it, I buy it. The Kindle version is cheaper. Like… idk 5-6 $
I've been a reader since I was five or six, back in 1970 or so, and I've always loved paper books. But as I got older, I learned to love my Kindles; I can carry as many books as I want when I go on vacation, and it solves some of my space problems.

Have you tried using Libby? It's an app I have on my phone where you can connect your library card to digitally check out books from your local library that you can add to your Kindle library while you have that book checked out.
Hey, maybe someone’s already commented this but there may be a way to turn off popular highlights in settings? So far I don’t have my actual kindle ereader, but I use the kindle app on my phone still. I just came across an option on there where I can turn that feature off. A part of me liked seeing popular highlights while another part of me didn’t want to be influenced to also highlight them. Just thought I’d note in that there’s quite possibly an option to change in settings available on your kindle ereader!

Great video! You can turn off the popular highlights on the Kindle. Bring up the menu option -> Press on 'Aa' -> Press on 'More' -> Scroll until you see 'Popular Highlights' and turn it off. Hope that helps!

I definitely am going to invest I’m getting back into reading a lot more I usually only read manga but I want to explore now I will still be getting physicals of my manga I can’t give that up and some other books like my poetry but for like romance thrillers etc I think I’m definitely going to be e reading thanks to your review ❤️

Kindle unlimited is very good because I have a Kindle and I have a bunch of books on there and a bunch of books on my nook as well and the Kindle unlimited is very beneficial because I pay 12.88 amount for it and it also depends on where you live
