To anyone reading this, it's not laggy. That's really how kindle operates, it's not meant to have a refresh rate like your phones. If you think you wouldnt like the "laggyness" please just buy an ipad.
I thought it was laggy too. It’s annoying when trying to navigate through the contents on the device, but reading on it is good and you don’t need fast refresh rate to turn the next page.
I have the Kindle Scribe and the Kindle Paperwhite, the Scribe has a faster refresh with no lag but the Paperwhite does have lag. It doesn’t bother me. I use scribe at home and use the Paperwhite for travel. I just think it would be cool it Amazon came out with a color reading device with the same technology. I think it’s possible.
That’s exactly why I bought a kindle even tho I have an iPad. I didn’t want my iPad battery or my phone battery draining bc of me reading on them lol. The kindles battery life is unmatched
If yall think the new kindle paperwhite is laggy yall are gonna have problems with the older kindles lol The refresh rate for eink isnt requires like it is on phones/tablets.
Yeah as others have said it’s not lag per se the screen is actual ink or E ink so can’t refresh like a normal screen with OLED that’s what makes it look like paper
I like to browse the kindle library on the kindle app on my phone when I’m looking for new books, then I download them through my phone onto the kindle app and they will be in my library on my kindle. A work around the “lagginess”

On 6:13 when I heard the hey listen I thought it was someone texting me cuz I have that as a ringtone 😂😂 I had to play it two time to make sure it wasn’t my phone

Kindles use e-ink technology and don't have refresh rates like LCD or OLED displays. Main benefit to this is longer battery life.
