My favorite kindle feature is the time left in the chapter. When I read physical books, I'm always flipping ahead to see how many pages I have left and wondering if I'll have time to finish the current chapter or finish the next one. My kindle keeps me from getting distracted in that way and it's such a game changer. And books are way less overwhelming when I can't physically see how big the book is. The warm light is also fantastic!
I love my paperwhite. I think it's the best option for a kindle. It really works out well because you can change font and make the print bigger. There is nothing like a real book but hard to store, so the kindle helps. Happy reading 📚 😊
I’ve used a kindle for over 10 years. I still occasionally read physical books but for bedtime reading and travel, I’m reading on a kindle. And if your library uses Libby, you can save so much money.
By using Libby, my Kindle paid for itself in a matter of months, especially when I check out books that would be new release hardcover if I bought the paper copy. Yes, it helps with clutter a LOT, too!
Ooh. I feel called out! I have had a Kindle Paperwhite for a few months. At first I was picking it up at night and in the morning, but now I am picking up my phone again. I definitely need to get back to my Kindle. Thank you!
I was about to ask that question, I have the app on my phone so I was wondering if there was a difference in buying the actual Kindle vs reading off my phone?
I caved in from your last kindle video and bought a paperwhite. It’s actually helped me to read even more than before! I love how it makes me zone in without distractions and I can take it pretty much everywhere
You make such a valid point about how easily we can get distracted reading on our phones and tablets. I definitely fall prey to this. I’ve been wanting to get a paperwhite. Thinking of rewarding myself when I hit a milestone 😊
I absolutely love my kindle paperwhite. Out of all ways to read it’s probably my favorite. Love a physical book but compared to my kindle it always eventually becomes unwieldy. Audiobooks are fantastic as well. However, there is just something immersing about reading the text in your own voices and letting your perspective take over. E-readers give a bit of everything. The convenience of portability and reading in various lighting. Being able to annotate and bring your library with you. There is just so many pros to an ereader in general but specifically with the kindle paperwhite. It is a comfortable size, has a very long battery life and is waterproof! It’s just everything you need if you enjoy reading and do so often. If you buy at least a book a month, kindle unlimited is 1000% worth it. And there’s always Libby if your library has! Possibilities are endless. Anyone on the fence about getting one needs to jump down and get it now 😅
Mine kindle is also a paperwhite 11 gen and I have had it for only month now but I absolutely love it .I got it after seeing your both videos and it is definitely worth the money 💖😁🫶.Love from Pakistan 🇵🇰 ❤
Lovely video! I recently got a kobo. Mostly because the size of the newest kobo bw is perfect for my hands AND def fits women’s pockets and tiny purses with ALL the features of a ppw! Another reason is I wanna be free from the amazon ecosystem. The interface is more about YOU instead of what amazon recommends for you.
I went with Kobo. I got the kobo Clara BW as kindle doesn’t work with our libraries in Canada. I also like that I am not stuck in a Amazon eco system for my books. I can load books from anywhere which is helpful because I read in more that two languages. For the authors only available on kindle I just buy those books. Great video!
Getting my Kindle reignited my love for reading. I didn't read for about five years. I would read a book here and there, but I wasn't an avid reader like I had previously been in lower school grades. I also wear glasses, and the strain on my eyes with the Kindle is practically non-existent. The only feature on the Kindle that I don't like is the audio. I will play play that on my phone and follow along on my Kindle and it works perfectly. I will always have one with me.
I have had mine for about 6 months and I love it! I’ve read so much. It’s especially nice with having 2 young kids. With a paperback, they would take my book mark or rip pages. No problems like that with a kindle!
Honestly thank you for that video! I really needed the realisation that I’m on my phone way to much😅 I’m also going to try your tip about reading before bed ☺️
I have the 2nd generation kindle paperwhite lol. I bought it in aug of 2013 so it’s almost 11 years old and still going strong! The battery doesn’t last 8 weeks anymore but it lasts at least 4. It also has only 2gb (1.25 gb of user avail space) and I’ve never ran out. It doesn’t allow audiobooks. The only bummer is I think last year they stopped allowing 10+ year old kindles to purchase directly from the store. You have to do it online and send it to your kindle but I’ve always done it anyway because the kindle has always been extremely slow paging through the store. But anyway, all that to say, for $100 or whatever it was at the time it was a great investment! I don’t have any other electronic device that’s lasted so well 10+ years on. As much as I would love a new sage green kindle, I’m interested in seeing how long it will last!
I bought an iPad mini, specifically for reading, after my nook color crapped out. (I cannot deal with reading on the giant iPad). I loved it but realized after a while that my migraines were much more frequent and much more severe, even with the customized grey screen on the nook app. I finally bought a paperwhite signature and I’m soooooo in love with it💕. It’s definitely one of my best purchases ever!
I had a Kindle 2, and then upgraded to a PW2 in 2014, that is still going strong 10 years later. I am a big supporter of the library and am able to download tons of books, turn on airplane mode and they are mine till i delete them. It has saved me so so so much money. My PW2 has 4gb and is about 7/8 full. I have over 1500 books on my kindle and am add/deleting books all the time. Thinking about upgrading to a PW5, but I have a feeling Amazon will be releasing a newer version by the end of the year or next year, so i'm holding off to see what the newer features will be!
Not to be dramatic but having a kindle has revolutionized vacations for me. I used to pack as many books as space and weight would allow relative to necessity ie clothes and now, I just throw my kindle in my purse and I'm good to go. It's also so much easier holding it with a popsocket when you're lounging than a physical book. I still love physical books but I've been leaning on e-books more and more.
i'm going with the kobo libra color for most of my books, but because i am apart of the amazon ecosystem; i might consider that for what i already have. also it might help when i go back to uni for books.
Also not needing to buy a reading light just to read or even during the daytime when the sun is moving and with physical books you're always moving around to chase that light so you can read.
I bought a kindle first and loved it, but if you live outside the US it might be important to check if your overdrive or your library can be used on a kindle. I live in Canada and I had to return the kindle, because of this reason. I got a kobo instead and it was almost better, minus not having access to kindle unlimited.😅
Late in the Kindle game and Khalilah, I resonate with all said I just pulled a trigger on a pre-loved 10th Gen. Keep sharing gurl..... your soothing voice and assuring presentation is a strong influence 😊
6:15 that is why I turned my old phone into basically a kindle with worse batterylife lmao, no social media or anything distracting on it, just my reading apps. I feel like it works just as well as any other ereader for reading more without distractions.
Kindle being a single use device is what puts me off tbh. I don’t want to own a bunch of devices when one device could be serving many purposes. I also find that using my phone for reading makes me more likely to read bc it’s already on me and in my hand. the transition from social media apps to the kindle app is easier than the transition between devices (I am autistic and adhd so transitions are hard for me)
I can see a mini i-pad working for mutiple purposes as well, but the only issue I have with the iPad is the lighting and mechanism is not set for reading. Kindles don't strain your eyes like regular tech screens I feel.
You autism helps you be a little more disciplined in not straying you away when you have the intent to read. This is a topic I'm sure she doesn't touch on based on her lack of experience in that area. I have an autistic friend who also prefers her iPad for kindle app reading because it actually helps her stay focused. I can see how the transition for devices is a little more difficult, I use my iPad for reading in certain scenarios because the switching can overstimulate me and then I dont want to read. You do what works best for you!
I think it being a single use device is actually why an eReader works for so many people. Once you pick it up you won't get distracted by notifications, a sudden need to check instagram or even something as simple as checking the weather. Just like with a physical book its just about the reading experience. I think this isn't for everyone but I think especially for people who struggle with getting distracted, an eReader can be a very helpful tool
@@Cherrylimeade0235 yeah that is a big draw for me. I don’t like looking at tech screens constantly, especially bc my job is 100% computer based. I also like that the new kindle is waterproof.

I have the paper white, Oasis, Fire and the Scribe .. I don’t leave my house without one of them. I love my Kindle Family ❤
Thought my kindle was going to be an unused impulse purchase but I’ve read more than ever!! I love it so much.
Reading on your Kindle instead of your phone/tablet is so much easier on your eyes too! I’m a Kindle stan 🤣

And those of us reading before bed, and living with a significant other, the dark mode is very useful. My husband would complain about my book light
Clicked this soooo fast. Was just thinking about getting one!

I love your content.
thanks for the info :)
I have found so many books that I would never had heard of if it wasn’t for my kindle
Can you make this a link in your amazon store?
I want to get an ereader this year! Still not sure which one, so these kind of videos are really helpful!

😂 The Kindle Paperwhite is my favorite purchase I’ve ever made.
lol literally same 😭
I think there is also a 16 GB paperwhite.
What are your thoughts about the new kindle colorsoft?
Girl how are the books so expensive in America 😭 here in the Netherlands I buy books for like 8-15 euro’s and E-books for half of price
