In 2010 we crisscrossed the USA interviewing drivers and covering grassroots drifting events. We wanted to know why people choose to drift, how they got into the sport, and why the love it. The answer is simple, its fun. In fact, its the most fun you can have with a car. Once you do it, you're hooked and for children of the action sports era - its easy to understand being subjective and judged. In this short form documentary, we visit some of the most vibrant and passionate drifting communities in the US. We talk with up and coming amateur drivers and pro drifters about the sport and why Keep Drifting Fun is more than just a motto - it has changed their lives.

still here almost a decade later, this video influenced so many lives.
you guys don't know how lucky you are. in my country we dont have any tracks for public use. parts and cars are really really expensive in turkey. we are trying to keep our dream alive but, be sure you people are living the dream :) i'm sorry for my grammar by the way.
That's why we titled this Keep Drifting Fun, we all should never forget how fortunate we are to pursue our dreams - especially ones where they're easily accessible. Thanks for your comment and keeping the dream alive in Turkey.

This is how drifting should be not all corporate like it is now and wasting time and money at the professional level knowing they are going to pick the top high horsepower, major sponsored, same 5 drivers in every competition make podium.
Problems with FD (Formula Drift)
Cons - Problems that need to be addressed:
1. Judges are heavily biased and worthless.
2. Big sponsored cars usually american make top 10 or 5.
3. Rookies go unnoticed.
4. Give out pro licenses like candy to anyone with the most money and NO TALENT 6 months to a year of track time boom already a pro kills the sport.
5. Same 5-6 or guys make the podium - (Judges play favorites even clearly after shitty runs)
6. World Championship brackets are confusing.
7. No horsepower regulations all these cars with 1,000 - 1,400 hp at times make the competition unfair.
8. Some guys just need to retire.
9. No past champions as judges.
10. Too short of a season.
Ways to improve
1. Get rid of the current judges and replace with judges who actually won world championships.
2. To get a pro license you must make the up and coming pro am drivers and amateurs put in at least 3-5 years of track time before getting a license.
3. Make the season longer tougher much more competitive.
4. No favoritism to big sponsored cars and drivers.
5. First year rookies a fighting chance to place in events.
6. Make the horsepower regulations 1000hp or less.
7. KEEP DRIFTING FUN !!!!!!
Thats just my 2 cents.
we're pretty lucky in NZ with our championship. D1NZ is a pretty even playing field. not only that but i believe to get into the professional D1 championship you have to pass through pro am and have quite alot of experience meaning that the drivers in the main series have been drifting for a while. you should check it out sometime

it's really hard to meet crappy people in this sport! love that Tuerck! skating for a decade, I thought the same thing til I moved to Jacksonville Florida.. motor sports bring people together in a different way.I'd go to the local drag strip in NC for test and tune almost every Thursday night(bracket racing for the last two hours) and I met a lot of cool people! from stock Cavaliers to fully built Honda's, they showed me respect. same with skating! I love the cross references. You push yourself to be a better skater just the same as pushing yourself to be a better driver.

Thank you guys I've been drifting sense the age of twelve but I have no track in the part of florida I'm in so I had my license suspended once already and I'm only 17 And I put every penny in to my car and it's really hard at times but thank you for reminding me why I got into this agin it's the best thing ever being sideways in a car I wish one day I could drift with you guys be the best thing ever

The Drift action, this is what I need, you guys are awesome. Thanks for the bad azz video, now I need to get into drifting here in Michigan. But if this proves to be unattainable then i may have to relocate. You would think being close to the Motor City that drifting would have some kind of establishment such as the other big cities you showed in the video. I just wanna have fun and hang out with others who have the passion of making that ride go sideways. Thanks again for the inspirational video.
Dude! I found this video on the listed Videos on RUclips for me and Im so happy I checked it out! Great Work with the camera and even better work with the message. Its not easy to keep such a hobby going... Its like someone said at the beginning: Drifting is so f**in stupid! Just buy an old (BEAUTIFUL!) car and shred it to its limits. That costs alot.. But if you are able to do so youre gonna have some great fun!
All i know from drifting is from Videos, Games and Fotos... And I would suck massively if I tried. But Id had fun.
