A Great Huge Thank You for not having some RAP, BASS PLAYING HEADACHE MUSIC. Rock's OK but that Thump-Thump-Thump on most all other RUclips Vids makes me shut them down Right Away. Hope your boy had fun helping ya. Subbed and Thumbs Up!! 3 Years Late but the content is always available.
Enjoying the channel. I’ve got a 70 F100 390/3spd and I’ve picked up a 73 460/C6 I plan on rebuilding so I’m trying to learn as much as possible from your content. 👍🏻
Agree! My son started working on motors with me when he was 10. He's helped rebuild a 383, 440 and a 504. Most recently we have built a 514 and multiple transmission... Teach them when their young! Great job!
That looks like mine. I just finished my 86 F-250 4x4 460 4 speed rebuild. I had to bore it .040 over to 468. I put ICON Forged Pistons in it with Eagle H-Beam 7/16 Connecting Rods. I got hold of a rare set of Dove-C Heads with CC Roller Rockers from a guy in Las Vegas Nevada. They had already been done. I put a CC Hyd. flat tappet Cam in it that is .564 Int. .574 Exh. Lift with 226 234 at .050. 111 Lobe center. I just barely got it running. I've got just a little more to do before she hits the road. How did your build turn out.
I know my grandpas ford that I’m buying had a 460 bored .30 over and he had a cam with a 750cfm carb and the guy who built the motor said it should be good for 600hp
@7:00 you were mentioning EFI heads vs Carb heads. Are the heads you bought, carb heads? Just found your channel, I have an 84 F250 with the 460, and I’m getting ready to help her get her mind right.
Hi! Have recently found your channel. I have a 460 BBF in my 67 Mustang and is a mild build. Looking to pull it and put some new heads on her as I have the D3VE-A2 heads 73 model yr. I understand they are crappy smogger heads from my research. By the way, what is your back story? How did you learn your skills? Thanks and cheers from Motown.
Worked on cars as a hobby for about 23 years. Went to school to be an Automotive tech and worked in the industry for about 13 years. Now it is back to being my hobby. Oh yeah, love cars!
@@cprgarage3206 Great! Thanks for the response! In just a short time, I have learned quite a bit from watching the build. You are a great Dad letting the kids be involved too! Looking forward to more content, and in the future, I might have some questions when I dig into my 460 upgrades, If you don't mind. Thanks again young sir. Bob in Dearborn Mi, home the Ford Motor company, lol
C u had to brace ur engine stand, my buddy was building a 79 4 wheel truck and the engine stand started to bow. He had to brace it also. 460 are heavy!
Its refreshing seeing a dad who doesnt yell at you because you arent holding the flashlight right
When the music started I couldn’t hear a word you said.

I like this video but your background music is to loud for me to hear what your saying. Thanks
SKIP THE MUSIC!!!!
Why is the music drowning out your information?
you must be an engineer wow ,, you know about the ports ,, too bad you werent there in 1972
Tearing apart my first 460 myself. I love messing with these old pushrods.
Y
GET RID OF THAT MUSIC MY GOUSH.
I put a Quad 2 barrel intake on my 557 stroker. Makes plenty of power and throttle response is top

I enjoyed the video but couldn't stand the music
Thanks, check out my newer videos it's much better. 460 is in the home stretch

Live 30 mins from “Lie-muh” Ohio. I’ve seen quite a few videos and people say “Lee-muh” it’s funny haha since I’ve spent time and grew up near it
Right! I'm about the same distance away. It's Lima, ohio (Lime-a, Ohio).
I feel like a 750 cfm is just fine for the street. An 850 is gonna be a slug off idle
Get rid of the music!
And I agree, definitely loose the music
Trash the music!! Especially when you're talking

Yes all aftermarket heads are carby heads. The engine had fuelie F3TE heads stock which have different port locations

Got a question I’m gonna pull my 460 out of my 79 f150 should I pull motor only or motor and trans what’s easier
Motor only easier especially if it's 4wd.
@@cprgarage3206 it’s 2wd
@@cprgarage3206 so what all do I need to unbolt
More than I can fit on here check out www.ford-trucks.com
Is there a pat 2
Now into part 5. Check my other videos
There is no such thing as a "cheap" Ford "core" engine.
It’s pooping 😂😂😂
L-I-ma.. not leema. The I is pronounced as an I. Not an E.
Coming from someone who lives in Ohio lol
Kinda sounds like you say lime. Lima bean lol
@dustnreichu929 ok heard. But why is it leema in the military phonetic alphabet? Or do guys from Ohio say lie-ma? Never heard lie-ma over the radio!
@@cprgarage3206 yeah we pronounce it Lime-a lol idk why they call it that in the military that’s a new one on me

Ha, and 400s. The 400 I built a few years back for my 77 f100 made it bow also
