COLOR PICKER NOT WORKING (Photoshop 2024 FIX!!)

- When you color pick, the color doesn't update on the color wheel?
Is it ruining your life and you want to tear your hair out?
FIX:
- Open creative cloud
- Open Apps tab
- Locate "Photoshop 2024"
- click on triple-dot menu to the right of the Photoshop Application icon
- Select "older versions"
- select any version of Photoshop EARLIER than 25.0 (such as 24.7.2)
This effectively installs a PRE-2024 version of Photoshop.
Turns out, this very job-impacting and stupid bug has lasted through 2 updates of Photoshop 2024 (GG ADOBE!)

Devs new about this but Adobe made them publish this despite that. Its incredible that this things keep happening
I hate that Adobe is the leading industry standard software developer, they are money gougers, everything is poorly optimized, their 'innovations' are subpar (provided they work), and they dont listen to their customer base. I know a lot of people use many other programs but they have a hold on the industry that they dont deserve, we got stokholm syndrome or something I swear.
in the end my issue was the "sample size" in the color picker option, if it's set to 101 by 101 i'll blend everything you see for the color picker. the "sample" choice needs to be set to all layers as well, just writing it down here in case someone is looking, might be helpful too

Hello there Adam. Once again, I really believe you need to make a video about RUclips's increasing censorship, policies, guidelines, and its controversies, and how it's affecting content creators and artists alike because it's so stifling and suffering, especially for me. Just recently I found that this one content creator that I occasionally looked up to got taken down recently and honestly this makes my blood boil. I am really concerned about the RUclips system right now and how it will constantly take down other channels for no other reason and now I am terrified that my RUclips channel will get taken down. Adam, I really believe you need to make a video about this and I would love to hear your professional opinions about this
Make sure that Sample: is set to ALL LAYERS. The Sample option is on the top menu bar when color picker is selected. Was driving me MAD!

Hi Adam, I just had this issue too and found out that its not bug, just that the default setting for the color wheel is attach to the background color. All u need is hold alt and click the foreground icon then it will update to the foreground color.
Yeah that pissed me off too, I told myself "hey it's been a long time since I updated my ps". The minute after, this freaking thing happens. Which, as artist, is a function we use all the time. It passed the several months bug testing. It's unbelievable.
