sheng's accent is Texan/Houston. He grew up in Houston ... as Taiwanese Texan. So cool his intersection of appearance & speech pattern.

Yeah, houston kinda takes everyone's accent and just makes everyone sound almost the same. I love how how diverse it is over here. It's just the accent of a human being, I guess xD

Is it just me or does every comedian on Comedy Central start their set with “my parents are immigrants” don’t get me wrong I don’t hate immigrants. I just think it’s interesting, it almost seems like it’s being done on purpose.

My wife and I saw him opening for her at the Beacon. He crushed so hard he got a 5 minute standing ovation. I’m a huge standup fan who has been to a million shows, and I’ve never seen someone get that kind of reaction from the crowd as an opener. Wild he’s not bigger, so glad to see Ali helped him get a Netflix special.
