(1) I am most comfortable wearing my Levis. No more sport coats or ties! (2) LOL, I still own a flip phone! I see too many people addicted to their iPhone. (3) No debt on any credit cards. (4) Subscriptions? YIKES have NOT had any for years (5) Lottery Tickets!? NEVER! YOU forgot casinos! Both are a drain on young AND old alike. (6) I Never thought about food delivery services. We would rather eat out which anymore is a rare treat. (7) The only excessive equipment are my LEGS and MIND. It is very economical as well! (8) My improvement course is a good book or educational video. (9) I own a 2001 Toyota. VERY RELIABLE, I ALWAYS tell my mechanic, "There is NO NEW CAR." We both are on the same page! The greatest benefit of all these are "Peace of money" Life is good!
Finally someone that thinks like me, in the vehicle department. We have a 2001 2 door Acura CL type S. Original owner. Never broke down. Everything still works……AC, sunroof, heated seats, etc. All it needs is a new battery, now and then. 😊
What a fantastic list! Keeping life simple and debt-free is such a refreshing way to live. Your perspective on “peace of money” is inspiring. Cheers to living authentically and happily! 🚗📚👟
Totally Agree W/ your thinking. Wishing U Well in your future. BLESSINGS TOO ALL.
Got rid of all those clothes I no longer need, no more fancy dresses, I hate dresses anyway. Jeans and sweaters now. Makeup, I'm never going to look 20 again so what is the point? I like my computer but that is it. I eat a clean diet, no processed food, sugar, carbs, seed oils. I have a treadmill that I use every day. I've had it for years, not idle at all. The house and car and truck are paid for, keeping it. No debt.
Simplifying and prioritizing what truly matters-amazing! Your routine sounds inspiring. 🏡✨
Exactly right on all counts. I’d only mention that buying new things is a way of telling your mind and body that you still want to live a full life. I am a penny pincher but believe that we have to send signals to ourselves that life still has meaning in old age. For instance, why downsize to a small apartment? That sends the wrong message to yourself-that you’re giving up; keep the big house and mow the lawn. Trim the hedges, fix the fence in other words keep going. Get new furniture if you can afford it. Buy a new car if you have the money. Upsize instead of downsize, but only if you have the financial means. Live your life and tell yourself that you have a long way to go. Get up off the couch. Stop reading so much. It keeps you living a sedentary lifestyle. Move even if it hurts a little. Stay physically active. Eat healthy foods. Lose weight. Figure out how to safely get off your meds. Make things. Laugh a lot. But yes, don’t waste money in the ways explained in this thread.

Beautifully said! Living life to the fullest is so important-keep going strong and enjoying the journey. 🌟
1- I never was into that anyway ( rebellious ' 70's youth)
2- same thing- never was into gadgets
3- I only have a debit card
4- I am very cautious with subscriptions : I don't have any that I can think of
5- never played the lottery once
6- I buy my food at the supermarket or at the open air producers market
7- I don't own exercise equipment. I exercise outside.
8- that I avoid completely. My ( late ) mother was very much into self-improvement philosophies it didn't help her much in her later years.
9- I hope to still be able to keep the sturdy Corolla I inherited from my father for many years. I m turning 70 and never bought a car in my life
10- I check my current and saving accounts regularly
I learned from my parents. My dad new how to stretch a buck, my mother didn't. I tried to be like my dad. Too bad they don't teach it in school A lot of parents never learned either.
good
Wise words! Learning from parents is such a gift, and you're right-it should be taught in schools
Incredible words of wisdom ...

Great video. All well said and true! Thank you so much! ❤
Your sharing is wonderful!
Thank you so much ❤❤❤
Be careful with the Used Cars - people do not take care of their autos mechanically or aesthetically - especially if they are repos, which is a growing trend.
Good point! Always check carefully before buying. Taking your time can save you from future headaches. 🚗
Thank you for this video, very enligthening
You're very welcome

You're welcome!
I have bought a brand new Mini Cooper Classic 6 speed stick every 5 years for the past 15 years. I enjoy my car, it's a part of me, but this year I was unable to buy an extended warranty and in the past always bought new around this time. I've hesitated this year because it's an expense I just don't need (plus they aren't making stick shifts anymore!). It's been such a habit that I'm not sure how to proceed because I'll need to maintain the one I have, which could involve expensive repairs. As a woman alone, I'd appreciate any advice or feedback regarding this. I've been so accustomed to taking it to the dealership for maintenance, I've been spoiled. Now I have to find other options. I'm 74 and how much longer will I be driving anyway But have looked into how to live without a car and that is not an option! I'm very independent and being mobile is important!
Your independence is admirable! Maintaining your current car could be a smart move. Finding a trusted local mechanic might help ease the transition. You’ve got this! 🚗✨
Agreed 👍
The only luxury i have in my senior age now is spending time for my health and cooking healthy foods.
Prioritizing health and good food is a wonderful luxury. Keep taking care of yourself!
That was good and the art work just gorgeous. In our 51st year of marriage the Lord has blessed us to be able to follow some of this good advice but I know others also try hard but life is more of a financial struggle for them.
I don't think it a problem they have caused but more of a problem with governmental corruptions. Prayerfully, we
will get back on a better truck soon.
Boundaries can be hard, but you’re on the right track. Take it one step at a time-you’ve got this! 💖
I have done all these things since l was young!😂 last year on this day Jan.3rd 2024 my 50 yr old truck was stolen from my work parking lot! Never was recovered! That made a big dent in my wallet! I am 70 yrs old! Survived cancer twice! Lol l purchased a 7 yr old Nissan Versa! A tiny car! I have learned to like it but l miss the dependable old Chevrolet V8!!! Thank for the tips!❤ l always read my phone to see if there is something new to learn!!! Thank you! Happy New Year!😊
You’ve been through so much and come out stronger! Wishing you a joyful, peaceful 2025. Happy New Year! 🎉
Very meaningful and practical video! Thanks for the useful tips to help live more consciously and save more. Wish the channel more and more development! 👍
Glad it was helpful!
After you name something to stop doing. Stop saying 50 things why we should stop doing this. Don't buy name brands. A few statements. I get it and agree with you. WHY DO YOU YOU SAY SO MUCH AFTER DONT DO THIS.
Great point! Keeping advice simple and concise often makes it more impactful. Thanks for sharing your perspective! 👍
Thank you, All Praises to God, God bless you.
Thank you so much for your kind words! All praises to God, and may He bless you abundantly. 🙏
I was once told by someone "I don't invest in PPL, I invest in THINGS" I say GOOD LUCK W/ That !
It may be possible too invest in the WRONG things. Or in the WRONG PPL.
1 it’s all make believe on earth. Riches are in Heaven with God and his son Jesus coming very soon to each one of us . Enjoy each day till we get our spiritual body it’s a beautiful world on Earth.
Beautiful perspective! Living with faith and gratitude truly brings peace. 🌟

Absolutely agree! Staying active and embracing life makes such a difference-cheers to living fully! 💪
Quality, well-fitting clothes aren't found on Walmart's clearance rack. I feel more like a worthwhile human being when I am (in my own opinion) well dressed. I don't bother with fads in clothing or in anything else. I never pay credit card interest, but pay in full each month. No gambling! Occasionally review subscriptions and memberships. Peace of mind is better than more "stuff."
Investing in yourself is always worth it. Quality over quantity, and peace of mind is priceless! 🙌
This has nothing to do with age. Whether you're old or young, if you have a certain budget, you should live within your means. If my average cost of living is only one-third of my income, I have two-thirds left to spend on enjoyable things or save for when I need it. However, if my entire income is spent on living expenses, there’s not much room for unnecessary things, right?
I think you're preaching to the choir, brother. Most of us are already doing what you suggest. Thanks, though. It's food for thought.
the only one he is helping is himself to get the "likes" and the money$$$$$$$
Thanks for the feedback! Glad it resonated with you and gave you something to think about. 😊
1thanks
You’re welcome 😊
Live life, having a house is an existence not living.
You’re absolutely right-true living is about experiences and joy, not just possessions.
This is time to go first class.
Absolutely! Treat yourself-you deserve the best.
Manufactured story - good topic though for the old age community.
@@cathum no it's for everybody I guess some people just don't learn
Interesting perspective! It’s always great to explore topics that resonate with different communities.
👍
Thank you ❤️
1 You cannot retire in debt.
Thank you ❤
Unless your passive retirement income can service the debt.
But I prefer cash, it feels good, like you made it 👍
#1 thing that wastes time at any age: Listening to people’s opinions about what is a waste of time or money. 😂 ok that was mean. Sorry. I agree with this stuff. The gym equipment I have was acquired over years and quite a few items are for sale. My total gym, and elliptical stay. Also keeping my 3 sets of roller skates, for now.
Haha, that’s a good one! Keeping what you enjoy and selling what you don’t sounds like a smart balance. 😊
In today's world,it is a throw away world. Like clothing, cheap is made cheap see through ,bad fabrics that require under garments to stay modest and warmth. It's not keeping up with the silly dads,it should be about something that should last. And not to overdo what you're buying. Made to last .
I agree on most everything you have said. And enjoy it. Thank you.
This is good advice for someone on a limited budget or who depends on the governmint for supplemental income, pensions, etc. not for those who have had great careers and saved a bundle. I have a brand new vehicle with all the bells and whistles and very expensive, but I have few issues with this luxury and the 10 airbags, 12 inch screen and a subscription to Classical Music which it delivers better then my living room, and almost forgot total ease in parking with cameras every 2 feet on it perimeter and blind spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control + 100 other options which my 4 year old trade in did not have becuz of AI n technolgy like heated/cooling seat regulation, etc. I follow the adage U cannot take it with U ___ sooo enjoy it NOW.
So true-only the Father knows. It’s a reminder to stay faithful and prepared. 🙏
Change the name of the video. Old people should know this already.

Live life, having a house is an existence not living.
Security is an illusion,it isn't a natural state of man it is adventure or nothing.
Beautifully said! Life is meant to be lived fully, with passion and adventure. 🌍🌟
