Sonny, how about your diabetes?
Spokane wa has an annual event called PIGOUT AT THE PARK and one of the things I look forward to every year is a booth that has LARGE slices of New York cheese cake on a stick dipped in Godiva chocolate ❤😂 no human could possibly eat the whole thing but if you have a miracle of an amazing Daughter you can share it with you can get close.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
😂❤😢🎉
25$ for a deep-fried pop tart is absolutely crazy
Yeah I was wondering if that was a mistake, but I didn't feel like going back in the video to look at the sign
i gasped for air when i read the price
It was hard to catch in the video but I'm pretty sure it was a mistake. I think it actually costs ~$8-$10
I came here to say this 😂
Mercia fatties 😂😂
RELAX EVERYONE !! The pop tarts are only $8. Editing error. Thanks Sonny!
Thanks for that. The high price was my heart attack moment.
@needmoreramsey...Thanks. that makes it so much better🙄
In Argentina and Brasill you find all you can eat buffet s for that price tag
Oh thank God lol
they would've been cancelled if they sold it for $22
Sonny is so respectful of all the cultures he visits, he ate all of that dangerous food without complaining
When Sonny said, "I'm poor I grew up in a trailer eating mac and cheese from the blue box" i felt that in my soul. Me too, Sonny, me too.
Throw a can of tuna or two in it, and maybe a can of peas if you want, it's a great meal.
I only ever had great value brand as a kid. Kraft was a luxury 😂
@@spinachpuff9502 jus what I was about to say lol blue box was Kraft you better go get that great value elbow macaroni with processed cheese food.
But u are still there 😂
@spinachpuff9502 same here man 🤣
He doesn't measure the food in calories but in pounds. Then the look and perfect timing of the dude on the electric scooter 🤣😂🤣😂 Couldn't stop laughing
'Merica af 🤣
🤣🤣🤣 i came for this comment
Definitely had me busted out laughing. It was such perfect timing 😂😅❤
i have to pause the video lol I was like this is america
I died
Sonny was offered a challenge to create an amazing new fair food and came back with the great idea for a corn dog without a stick
LOOOOOL thus took me out. facts doeeee😅
It’s not actually a corn dog, because it isn’t in a cornmeal batter so it would be interesting to know if it was better than a real corn dog and how it tasted different
@@janaijackson4455 it was your goal to suck the humour out of that comment was it? 😅
IKR
@@CadetDennyNo! I did laugh at the joke, but then I got thinking about it and realized it was actually different and then I wanted to know…did it taste different? I guess my mind just went deeper than just the joke, just the way I am 😉
The doctors in America must be counting dollar bills while seeing this video
13:01 Definitely a quesadilla.
Also, the mushy, baked Mac & cheese is a northern thing. I’m from the northeastern part of the US, but have lived in several states….including down south. Up home the baked Mac & cheese is soft, but when I was living in the south it was al dente. I like both, but grew up on the softer texture…that’s how my mom made it. I make it al dente, because … culinary school. 😂❤
I'll say is more of a "Gringa" which is a half styled quesadilla taco served in a soft-shell flour tortilla
@@FlamezEmpireEntertainment makes sense as a quesadilla is usually more crispy…not soggy/flappy like the one in the video. ✌🏻😁
Try making a baked Mac n cheese like a au gratin but make the cheese sauce a bit thinner. Could bake it from uncooked pasta, to a less than al dente, al dente or fully cooked pasta. Obviously a root veg au gratin is raw, but might work for a baked Mac. Definitely something that's possible, just some trial and error. Or even doing a single layer of Mac but like a lasagna, then you stack the layers when finishing the dish. Then you're not baking cooked pasta forever, the layers between will have some other texture and finish with whatever sauce and crumb topping. Make the single layer Mac lasagna, cool it, when serving reheat on a flattop or pan, stack the layers with a little sauce between them top with more sauce and garnish toppings. Maybe even doing a bechamel sauce for the lasagna, finish with a bit more robust cheese sauce between layers lightly and then a more generous amount on top.
I work at a hotel that caters to a lot of college students, I'm definitely going to get with a coworker of mine and make this special. Something tells me they'll love it.
Sonny is the only one who can describe the taste of water.😄
Lmfao that was hilarious
8:20 perfect timing to say "i measure my food in pounds" with a skeptical face when the guy in a remote grocery cart is driving by you 😂😂😂
That, BBQ split would have been even better if it had potato salad on it instead of mashed potatoes
Overall,it looked good 🤤🥰😋!
That BBQ split is a work of art 😮
$22
@@michaelsimrell8575cheap if you ask me
go to a good BBQ joint and you'll pay that or more for the same items
@@michaelsimrell8575 NYS making sure they find the NYC people walking about haha
Lmao NY BBQ.😂😂😂😂😊
As a swede I died when I saw what they did with the cinnamon bun
I love your IKEA meatballs and lingonberries
While I don't blame you, I've seen what you and the Danish have done to hotdogs and I'm still upset about it 😂
Made cinnamon buns this weekend and here in the states Swedish cinnamon buns gets taken for a pretzel due to the pearl sugar.
you swedes have zero claim on cinnamon buns. why you perpetratin?
@@thestraydogdear I ask, what have they done to hotdogs? I am ignorant 😂
Sonny is the best!!! Makes a heart attack actually look fun😂
Maybe try to visit Poland, you can find here a lot of interesting and also delicious food. You can try bigos, kwaśnica, kaszanka, czernina, pierogi, kluski śląskie and rolady and much much more, polish cousine is often underrated.
I couldn't believe how expensive even normal grocery store food was in America, then seeing how much they add on for fairs it's insane.
Where in America were you shopping?
I think fairs just aren't cheap in general. I live in Australia and though supermarket prices have risen, fairs always have been overpriced. I guess I expected the processed food to be inexpensive and the real food a rip off, but it was all over the place. To be honest, none of it looked like anything you'd want to eat.
Fair food is very overpriced and gets more expensive every year. A single corndog is 5 or 6 bucks
Fair food has always been expensive regardless of the price of groceries.
@@ProfCockingtonhere in Sardegna a classic fair food is for example a sausage sandwich with onions, it went from 3€ to 8€ in a few years. Man I miss paying 7 euros for a kebab pizza and a cheeseburger at my local pizzeria.
Watching Sonny eat all this food made my stomach hurt! I would not survive!! Thank you Sonny for your sacrifice 😂❤❤
This was such a difficult episode to watch 🥲
That BBQ split is a work of art 😮thanks you
It so hard to see Sonny eating so much sugar 😂
I have seen every episode and I think the cotton candy burrito is the most disgusting thing that Sonny has ever eaten.
I agree and second was the guys poking that bread with his finger
Once you've had it done right, and it didn't look like it, it's decadent. It's a strange blend of sticky gooey cotton candy and deep fried ice-cream with fixings.
Cotton candy is fucking gross as it is
It's one of the "just for the instagram" foods 😵
@@kimareska4836 good point still disgusting but good point
"i measure it in pounds" followed by the glance over his shoulder at 8:23 made me laugh SO hard
$25 for a pack of poptarts is INSANE 😳
Very much so, you have to be mental to pay that price.
It was 8$ he made a mistake. Still too much
Thank you for covering the Fair! It comes 2 weeks before my birthday every year so i have to go! You should come down to Florida and try our fair food sometime!
I'm a Midwesterner, and even I can tell that's not lobster 😂
That Naughty Taco is definitely a Naughty Quesadilla but I guess taco sounds a little more naughtier
In South Africa we would call it a Roeti.
Bro wanted that man to make him a corn dog lol. The disappointment in that guys face was great 😂😂
Congratulations on inventing the corn dog 😂
Should have asked Jim to deep fry the bubblegum ice cream. When done correctly deep fried ice cream is honestly amazing and it would've been an interesting challenge for the guy.
It wouldn't work with normal ice cream. You have to put ice cream in the scoop and then deep freeze it for about an hour at least if not 4 hours or it turns into a melted mess. My buddy owned a Mexican restaurant that served it and that's exactly what you have to do for deep fried ice cream. It's got to come out completely hard.
@@MR_KILL777 That or you need a very high temp oil (which is easier, but you need another fryer obviously)
he never ate bubblegum ice cream.
@@MR_KILL777 You can use normal ice cream but you need a barrier to contain the ice cream. Cheap pound cake works pretty well. Slice it thin and surround the ice cream with it.
The best deep fried ice cream I've had was at a Mexican restaurant. They coated it in corn flakes before frying. 😋
Dude could deep fried anything and Sonny brings back a sad looking hot dog?! I would have wadded up the “lobster” Mac into a ball, dribbled it over to the batter and slam dunked it into the fryer.
yeah.. c'mon Sonny.. now its just a corn dog
Yeah talk about anticlimactic
WOAH $16 for a cinnamon bun 😅 when pricing up the menu they definitely stuck a finger in the air and got there answer 😂
The “can I help you” at the end had me weak for some reason lmaooo. I just picture that lady just staring at him, mouth watering 😭
Those deep fried poptarts look amazing!
But 25 bucks for that bit of cheap junkfood?
That’s absolutely ridiculous and blown out of proportion.
It says 8$ for pop tarts on the sign so maybe it was a typo
So NYC isn't that far away and people have tons of cash. No one in Upstate New York paid for that except tourists, they know where to find better deals.
Maybe $8 a piece plus tax
God bless you for visiting Up-State NY! We never have anyone check out NYS, just NYC. Also, that Banana Cream BBQ looked insane!
New York is SO much more than NYC❤
the BBQ split and the Pulled Pork Parfait are kinda similar concepts!
Great video. Thanks. It was the refutation of "Eat to live, don't live to eat" but only refuted the first part.
This is the best ever food review show, literally.
That pause after the “12 inch version comment” was so clever 😂
These comments are everything. I’ve always been curious what other countries think of U.S. state fair food
I live in Syracuse, NY and LOVE the great nys fair. Great food, concerts, rides, ect...
Taco? I don't think so! LOL! After getting to know a lot of tacos for over a decade in San Antonio, Texas, I would call that a slightly soggy quesadilla that's oddly made. :D
2:01 That cardboard is more seasoned than my chicken here 😂😂
I've been eating clean whole foods for 4 years and this video rocked my world🤣My goodness I went into a trance watching this😵💫 There was a time when I would have tried everything, I could wow I'm doing better than I thought. Thank You for the video I could almost taste everything I was getting dizzy😃
Omg. Sonny!! Talk about perfect timing. I measure my food by pounds! 😂😂 then the look back. 🤣🤣🤣 it is so wrong for me to be laughing at this but I literally spit out my drink!! 😅😅😅
Hi from Namibia the capital city Windhoek 🇳🇦🇳🇦🇳🇦
The fact that we get free food & travel videos from Sonny on RUclips is priceless., keeping the knowledge and entertainment alive.. 👏👏👏👏👏
OMG I wish you could've been there in 2011 when they had the Big Kahuna Donut Burger.
It was a 1/4 burger, but instead of a bun it used 2 glazed donuts
“Are these tacos a nightmare?” 😂😂😂 then she said “theyre to die for “ i couldnt stop laughing. Ever aince i found your channel i promise you I have watched regularly your videos + been watching the old ones. Love this channel :)
$5.00 for a box of pop tarts from the store, or $25.00 for deep fried pop tarts from a trailor.... You do the math 🧮😂
8:21 i measure my foods in pounds
That 👀 at side 😂😂😂😂😂
Sorry to see that you missed out on some quintessential central and western NY favorites like:
Chicken Spiedie
Salt Potatoes
Gianelli Sausage sandwich w/peppers and onions
Buffalo Wings
Poutine
Utica tomato pie
Maybe the NYS Fair had less to offer this year?
Gotta agree with him in the “only a hotdog?” comment. There’s sooo much stuff there that you could’ve done it with to make it much more interesting and fun. Maybe next time 🤷🏼♀️
By far the best channel on RUclips in my opinion. 💖✨Thanks for outstanding content! 🤙🏾
Mexican here; It´s definitely not a taco or a quesadilla it's a "Montado"😁
😲
I cant believe I had no idea you came to Syracuse!!! I wish I would have known I would have shown you the secret menu items around!
fucking love youre videos sonny, your comedy is not to much and kinda dry and i love it. great content man, keep em coming.
I was outraged when it popped up $25 for the poptart, but I guess it was a mistake. Was wondering how you'd choose that over the BBQ split
it’s 8
He said in another comment that its actually $8 and was a mistake of theirs
Sir! When a man asks you to bring him something to deep fry, and you’re in a place that sells turkey legs. You bring that man a turkey leg, and not a tiny hot dog
But seriously, love this show!!
Sonny: "I've never seen anyone deep fry a hot dog!"... corn dogs...
Haven’t gone to the Fair in years, but my friends that went this year told me everything was mad expensive. The prices you showed were crazy!!!
The most surprising thing in this whole video is finding that $1 hotdog. Especially in NY. Basic as it is some carts would still charge like 5-7$ for it.
Sonny deserves a fair tour after the last few countries
It's a great video of New York, thanks for sharing so many kinds of delicious foods.
Great looking food awesome video! And a beautiful midway Dreamland Amusements & Wade shows! 😍🎡🎠
Got the shock of my life when I first visited Scotland and went to a fish and chip shop to find they had deep fried pizza on their menu... Mind blown 🤯
They deep fry Mars bars too, but in Naples in italy they sell traditional deep fried pizza as it's not a new thing. When italy were playing scotland at football, the Scottish fans were actually chanting: "we're gonna deep fry your pizza" to the tune of one or human (?) ballenero, or whatever it's called.
Not human, I meant huan(?) but wouldn't let me edit it.
Juan (?)
Really? I've never had a deep fried pizza 🤷🏻♀️ Haven't seen one here too 🤷🏻♀️ I've had deep fried hot dogs ~ no buns tho.
@@sunnyinscotland Deep fried pizza is definitely a thing in italy. It's probably not what you think tho, they fried the dough first then make it like a regular pizza. They dont deep fry an already premade pizza in batter. It's not a Calzone either
american fair is like if diabetes are a competitive sport
My teeth were falling out of my mouth from just watching that cotton candy ice cream. That looks disgustingly sweet.
Thank you Josh for showing us how our guy loves a diner in his buns 😂😂😂
Watching from Africa kenya kericho very amazing. Though i have never crossed border outside kenya but i have learn alot of cultures through your videos
I'm watching from upstate New York. I like watching him explore Africa and seeing the different people and cultures, and I think it's very cool that someone over there is learning about my home state in the same way.
@@kyrithevans7943man please you barely know upstate New York I live near city that’s where it’s at
Love from Ghana 🇬🇭.
😋😋😋😋😋❤
"We use fat free grease"
*an item called "triple by-pass" is behind him on a sign*
I love this show sm 😂
Bless the hearts of the vendors that price their items to appeal to those not so well off. The Big E had very few and I appreciate those that go that route. 👍😎
Don’t worry about the calories. Just drink diet coke. It cancels out all the other calories.
You just made a corndog at the end? Very creative
Y’all’s should stop through Butte, MT on your trip to the west coast and try the very iconic Pork Chop Sandwich (From Pork Chop Johns)
8:19 Sonny feels his future approaching. ROFLMAO
Love when Sunny does Statefair food 🤤❤
I'm going to need you to plan one of these trips starting in Maine and then going to Wisconsin and then either like Tennessee or Florida
Would love to see a Healthy Heart episode. Maybe in Italy or Japan? Apparently they live the longest there.
This is so consistently my favorite show on YT thank you for making awesome content!
Did I miss the gold flakes in the pop tart? Cause 25 bucks for something that costs absolutely nothing and is pre made is insane lol
I’m so sad I missed you in my area Sonny !! Bucket list goal to meet you!
"Injected with a little bit of Josh" 😂😂😂
That BBQ parfait looked so delicious!! I actually had one years go at the Illinois State Fair. Funny enough, an ice cream scoop really is the perfect implement for mashed potatoes 😋
I’m interested taking you to dinner
God have mercy on the next generation cardio patients 😂😂😂
Sonny my good sir that is indeed a quesadilla lmaoo great video keep it up!!
Incredible. Congratulations to the producers.
Flying DOES make everything better 😂 many years ago my cousin and I would order a pizzahut stuffed crust pizza and put it in the fridge for a night and then dip it in beer batter and fry it😂 ❤❤❤😂 it's life changing 😂
Wait a minute…isn’t a deep fried hot dog just a corn dog?!?
That's exactly what I was thinking too!
cotton candy machines are just centrifuges, the spinning drum has very tint holes in it that when it spins fast enough the sugar comes through it as tiny strands of sugar that clump together forming the sugary treat we all know as cotton candy.
centrifuges are what we use to make regular white sugar, the molasses is separated from the sugar crystals by spinning fast enough that your left with whtie sugar.
i live in Syracuse and the state fair has always had the most expensive but best tasting food which makes it all worth while!!
That banana split looks amazing.
That's a quesadilla for sure!!
Every one of these fair food videos absolutely blow my mind with the prices.
I hope you stop in all those states along the way, that would be so fun 🤩!
I got the feeling Sonny was not impressed with the taco/quesadilla thingy. Unusual for him not to compliment something. Mark that off my list!
He didn't seem impressed by anything I get it I go to the fair every year and it's more novelty than good.
Two deep fried pop tarts for 25 bucks! 🤣...... 😢 Maybe 2 for 5 dollars?
It’s cool seeing one of my favorite RUclipsrs upload a video of a fair that’s local to me! Tbh I only go to the fairs for the food and derby’s but the prices are becoming absurd
That dripping wet casadila was definitely a nightmare
He never fails to give us quality content
