Hi Jage Man, for downhill, as Steven says, use your brakes sparingly. The objective is to brake hard, for a short period - this allows the brakes to cool down so that they do not overheat. Prolonged foot on brake pedal is bad because it makes the heat build up. Do not press gently and hold. Better to press hard for a short time then let go. As Steven said, use lower gears to keep the speed down.

Would you be keen in putting my ride on this test as well? I'm curious of my car setup and would like to have an expert try it to see if I'm doing it right.
I am neutral to both these cars. They are very close and each one has its good points. Generally I would say the City would give better fuel consumption while the Vios gives better handling. Prices are about the same and depends on spec level. The City has better acceleration. Ultimately, you have to make the choice.
2000rpm 110km/h on meter 2100rpm 110km/h on phone gps My city comes with 15inches wheel, the variance maybe due to the meter setting calibrated for the top spec varaint that comes with 16inch wheels
Both would be very similar. Very close, so will be hard to say which is better. The City may have the edge on power, but it will also depend on the CVT tuning.
Heard that toyota and honda are using same supplier on many parts, thats why the drive feeling is quite similar. Not sure true or not... But i feel the same.

Steering is quite precise. Malaysia. And you?
@@YSKhongDriving I am from India. Just found your channel and it is damn good👍. I am very confused between the vento and the city and unable to decide which car to buy.😅
I think the Vento we are getting is made for India. Both the Vento and City are great cars. Latest City has been launched in Thailand: power is 122 PS and 180+ Nm torque, all from 1.0 litre turbo engine. That would be interesting.
@@YSKhongDriving I don't think india will get the turbo petrol for the city when it is launched in India and I personally like the 2017 facelift compared to the new city. Anyway, thanks sir!
You are welcome.
That Roaring Noise 😍😍😍
How does handling compare with the Jazz?
Same
Nice info! Which better Cerato 1.6 or City?
Depends on the angle. Honda engine is more refined.
I hope the suction cup won't destroy the touchscreen
kia picanto owner
n when test drive the city
it like way better 😂😂
Keep up with the good content uncle!
Me driving city 2019 new model v spec. Am i the only one feel a bit swinging when reach 120km and above.
Check your alignment.
even vios start to swing at 160
Everyone was driving slow, and then grandpa comes around and roars past them.
Hahaha.
The body roll when cornering?how was it?
There is always some body roll. No car has zero roll.
You should do a video on how to use paddle shifter or gear shifter (D,2,3 &L)
I know what you mean, but maybe that is a very basic part of driving. No need video - it's just a question of changing at the right revs and being in the right gear.
Hmmm, maybe you are right - many people don't really know how, because they don't know the what , why, and the when of shifting. Great idea, will think about how to do it so that people can learn.
@@YSKhongDriving uncle shift syle is different like cvt and at please make a video how to shift automatic and how to use cvt
@@YSKhongDriving Would be interested
#YSKhongDriving it's really hard to teach, right..?
Its just like driving a manual car, without the stick and clutch..just need a little bit sensitive about the gear shifting timing. If know how to drive manual car, should be know how to use paddle shifter...
Uncle Khong, which one you prefer? The Stick or the Paddle shifter?
Uncle if vios vs city, which one will you buy..
I am nit in the market, hahaha.
Uncle, can u test the new honda city 2020 and share your opinions about that car?Thank you.
Will have to wait until after mco
Yes for sure....Thank you uncle!!
i-VTEC ECON MODE JUST KICKED-IN YO!!!! 👍😎
1st to press the like button! Woot!
uncle YS, we are waiting for you to try out the mazda2... that car is also a very fun car to drive...
Any car with a sport mode + paddle shift sure can climb
Nice video !! Now I know I want city if compare vios
"Khong san drums brakes is daijobudesu ...." must be Honda engineer told you 😀😀😀 , seems like it is quiet than proton
Hahaha.
I love these videos
wow this ah pek everyday go genting half way...so free one
Mr. Khong is rich enough to make people cry...
Uncle the eco makes alot of difference. Please try with the eco switched off and the throttle is way responsive. Great driving personally i drive city also and i can tell that many people underestimated the city. And yes i have changed the horn too. 😂😂😂
Hahaha, you changed the horn!
so far as i know if you turn off eco mode you will more easier to get more power...with eco mode on your rpm will be controlled by system starting 3000rpm...
Can we change to S gear while the car is in the move ?
Yes, of course.
This one and the jazz, which one is better in handling?
I think they are very similar. Seems the City is slightly more planted because it sits lower.
Hi Uncle! Good to see you having fun on smaller rides with lesser power. Modern cars are really decent now aren't they? Too bad didn't get to see you during EvoEnduro 2019. Would you be keen in putting my ride on this test as well? I'm curious of my car setup and would like to have an expert try it to see if I'm doing it right.
Hi Royston. Please WhatsApp me. I am in the Enduro group.
Haha. We all here. I also wish sifu YS to drive my car and show me what I've been missing to understand abt my ride.
Hi uncle, have you tried honda city gm2?
Yes.
@@YSKhongDriving Which one better ? 😁
In segment B class between persona vvt, vios and city. Which one you prefer?
I am neutral to both these cars. They are very close and each one has its good points. Generally I would say the City would give better fuel consumption while the Vios gives better handling. Prices are about the same and depends on spec level. The City has better acceleration. Ultimately, you have to make the choice.
YS Khong Driving for the soundproof. Which one are better?
About the same.
Hi Mr Khong, may I know what's your daily ride?
Any recommendation for a fun and affordable ride?
My daily ride is a 7 seater MPV, goes very slow.
Hi YS, what’s the RPM like at 110km/h?
We didn't check this one but if I remember correctly is is 50 kmh per 1000 rpm
2000rpm 110km/h on meter
2100rpm 110km/h on phone gps
My city comes with 15inches wheel, the variance maybe due to the meter setting calibrated for the top spec varaint that comes with 16inch wheels
How does it drive compared to Vios 2019/18/17?
Both would be very similar. Very close, so will be hard to say which is better. The City may have the edge on power, but it will also depend on the CVT tuning.
Heard that toyota and honda are using same supplier on many parts, thats why the drive feeling is quite similar. Not sure true or not... But i feel the same.
You're right. City is slightly more powerful but Vios ride and comfort is better I think.
@@ckloke2 yeah it will not run away from these two company , Toyota comfort , Honda power
Seem like the NVH is lot better than hybrid city.
yes exactly.. the hybrid model engine noise is so uncomfortable to ears...
TanGenT LiN looking like the audio at city one has problm
i like sir u drive stedy... 5star
❤️
how does it compare to the new vios? i feel like the vios is quieter no?
I am not too sure which is quieter, maybe about the same.
@@YSKhongDriving which one drive better?
Very much the same,
