    Hey uncle! I stumbled across your channel recently and have really grown to love your content and especially your driving! I can say I've learned many things just from watching you take corners with a bonus of your jokes and giggles that make the video so much more entertaining to watch.
    I have a question for you uncle! Many people can drive up mountains with not much problem but when it comes to coming back down it's very important to not overheat the breaks. I think it would be a great idea if you can show people the correct way or your preferred way of breaking when it comes to downhill descend.
    Love you videos uncle! Keep up the good work.

    • @stevenlim4921
      @stevenlim4921 5 лет назад +4

      Same like driving uphill. Brake before corner. On long stretch es of downhill use low gear for engine braking

    • @YSKhongDriving
      @YSKhongDriving  5 лет назад +11

      Hi Jage Man, for downhill, as Steven says, use your brakes sparingly. The objective is to brake hard, for a short period - this allows the brakes to cool down so that they do not overheat. Prolonged foot on brake pedal is bad because it
      makes the heat build up.
      Do not press gently and hold. Better to press hard for a short time then let go. As Steven said, use lower gears to keep the speed down.

      @Ethian315 2 года назад

      @@ph-qu7dw came back to relive the video. Saw your question. Here's my experience with the car (1.5l non hybrid) so far:
      1. Turn of Eco mode as it's consumes more fuel (I don't know why but I tested 5 times) Eco turn off will gives 50 to 80km more.
      2. Pedaling on the gas is normal, didn't really need to care, if wanna accelerate, I'll just press harder and vice versa.
      3. With no.2 stated, I drive city and highway everyday, average 2.5hrs drive, mostly 1 hr of smooth traffic, 2hrs of moving queue. System shows FC of 16km/l. Manual calculated 16.7km/l
      4. But I change my wheel to 205/55/17 (17inch rim, 20.5cm width and 5.5cm tyre wall) right after I get my car to trade in stock rim at max price.
      5. Fastest I get is 180kmph, outrun by a Myyi lol.
      6. Still afraid to use pedal shifter most of the time, cuz I heard CVT chain are kinda weak and if broken will splatter into gearbox and make more damages.
      7. Other than the big ugly gear knob and the extremely cheapskate radio unit. I like my car very much.

Prices are about the same and depends on spec level. The City has better acceleration. Ultimately, you have to make the choice.
