hey Uncle YS, for a man of your age, you certainly don't look to be, still very quick on your hands and feet as well as your thinking. between your run with higher performance car and standard engine, I,d say the roar of the engine and the tyre screeches really adds to the thrill and cramp in my stomach watching this one. It is an envy to see how you just weave thru all the rush and if i get to a chance to sit next to you on a run, I guess I'LL PASS. I don't want to un-purposely emptied my bladder.
But lots of quality issues, steering rack, rubber lining, body quality, oil compressor leaking and honda cvt for this new city. Going to service but problems cannot be solved.

unfortunately most newer mass market cars in Malaysia doesn't have MANUAL transmission options anymore... maybe some modified cars or special sports with Manual ONLY( Toyota GR Yaris, Honda Civic type R).... not standard REGULARS from factory ones... In Thailand, Indonesia and your country, Philippines still have sizable minority of people wanted MANUAL...but for most MALAYSIANS, manual not viable anymore.. just for keyboard warriors nagging on social media but they're rather NOT TO PAY with their own money.. that just reality with MANUAL TRANSMISSION in Malaysia,Sadly...
Great video! Malaysia needs more car brands in the market. Its always toyota, honda, bmw, merc or local brands. We need American cars back, Ford has to make a comeback with new Focus and fiesta so consumers will have broader options to pick from when buying cars. Ativa is better buy than City Ativa - Come with AEB, FCW, LDW - Got 6 airbags for all variants - Using brand technology. - More cheaper - More reliable from Asashi Kikai Gearbox that ventures between Toyota-Daihatsu. - Quality is also good - Got BSM and RCTA City - No AEB, FCW and LDW (except for City RS) - Still using 4 airbags (but except for City V and RS uses 6 airbags) - Unreliable from Earth Dream CVT - Poor Quality - Boring Technology - Maintenance price and on the road price are expensive. - Looks like uncle design - LaneWatch but only City S (low spec) and E (mid spec) don’t have and LaneWatch is not very useful as only detects passenger side mirror but not driver side, unlike Blind Spot Monitor that detects both passenger and driver side mirrors.

@@vklim7723 Cause many people complain that Earth Dream Gearbox as they feel that it is jerking movement and will make costlier to replace Earth Dream Gearbox around RM16k to RM20k. I also faced similar issues on driving City GM6 on gearbox that cost me RM19k to replace with new gearbox but still never ending solving problem.

The Honda engine is strong but its weakness is the gearbox CVT chain that came with it. The gearbox chain will not last beyond 100,000 km with constant spirited driving.

This coming June will be 3 years for my GM6 V variant. The things I changed were engine oil, CVT fluid, air filter and a set of tyres. 70,000 km mileage and no issue on parts broken and no abnormally.

Heard growing number of people start to complain about New City after just driving for less than a year or even less than few weeks about Earth Dream Gearbox, steering rack, rubber door lining loosen and noise coming from engine parts.

Uncle can u edit to add on the speedometer view? It can be a small split view like u add on the left down corner. Some reviewer eg Autotopnl did it too.. would be nice to know the current speed👌👌
The City has a bit more power, but I think the Vios GRS handles very well because of the sports suspension that is standard with the car. The Vios GR also has a 10-speed CVT with stepped shift, so that helps to make up for power. So depending on your priorities, you choose one or the other.

The City is fresher, so would be of grwater appeal. The Vios does have an edge on handling, while the City has the edge on power. So it depends on what appeals to you.
Nothing to do with COG being too forward. Honda sets the car to understeer rather than over steer simply because understeer is easier to correct versus over steer. It does not make the car poor in handling. BTW, the Almera is also set up to under steer.
The new City has an improved chassis, so it drives better. FYI, most Japanese car makers change models in a 4 or 5 year cycle, and most of the time there are tech improvements in chassis and engineering: generally new is better.

City is a Very Competent car in it's Class.

Steering feel is light, but is very precise. A good alignment setting can also make amy car feel good.

They are both b segment, so the sound level is very similar. Perhaps the Vios is marginally quieter, but that could be only my impression.

The Mazda 3 is C segment. City is B segment. Of course Mazda 3 is also more expensive.

The two are very close in spec. The City is a little more powerful, and the Vios seems to handle a bit better.
Would be nice if you can have another cam pointing at your feet to see your footwork. I imagine they are really busy down there tackling those corner.

Sir..is it ok manuever this cvt at high speed 170-180kmh on hiway? No sudden acceleration.
I'm no car expert but should be okay for short amount of time . For long distances please avoid this . Cvt are very city drives hence the name

As a safety measure, car makers make the gears shift up when the engine revs get to the change point so that the engune does not get over -revved.

Be careful better not to drive that fast as this isn't performance car. No point to push the car to the limit.

因为要分享每一部车的performance, 所以 mr khong 才会这样进弯出弯，达到 apex 点，以最高速度进弯和出弯，把车的极限发挥出来，让观众看到 车车的极限 performance。。。
不过在这样进弯出弯前，都要往望后镜和留意周围路况和状况以确保周围的安全，如果周围有车，mr khong w0也不会这样贸贸然大杀弯吧

Big understeer. CoG way too forward. That’s why they hv to neg camber so much.
The Almera is better (nvr thot ild say that).
Almera using tiny 1.0 3 cyl, hence the front is lighter and more balanced CoG overall.
