One of my favorite things about this episode is Sonny using his years of experience to show someone he's interviewing a part of the food that they cooked which they don't even normally eat. Food is amazing.
Abir is such a talented cook and content creator. I remember when she first started posting on TikTok, I was amazed at how simple yet amazing her videos were. I hope her social media accounts continue to grow and more people from all different parts of the world get to see her content.
Especially considering that she taught herself! I can understand that as back in my day the kitchen wasn’t a place where a child should be and “children should be seen and not heard” was something that was said quite a lot in my family. So I got a job in a cafeteria at 13, then in a small, family restaurant at 15 and continued to learn and move from prep and line work to head cook through my late 20’s. Finally, at 29 I was able to go to culinary school. It was kinda difficult for me to learn in my early years without someone teaching me and no internet available, so I can imagine how much Abir had to learn on her own. Making and remaking certain things until she was happy with the results. I admire that about her as well.
Never knew about Abir till this episode. I signed up for Tik Tok to see her content. Her videos are quite amazing and very entertaining!! I see why she’s a star

Lebanese, Syrians are originally from. Mediterranean places like Greek, Cyprus and ethnic jews. There are most likely many hybrids with African, Persian or Arabs too. But Arabs are the one that came from lineage of prophet Ishmael aley Salam , or prophet shuaib aley Salaam. So no Lebanese are typically not Arabs. History wise lebanese m, Egyptian and Syrian speak Arabic due to Christianity and Islam. Because araimic is also semetic language. Christianity was in araimic. There are many from Jewish families too who became Christians or Muslims.
Lebanese food is 100% my absolute favorite Mediterranean type cuisine. Used to eat it often when my grandparents were still alive. Thanks for the episode Sonny! Made me reminisce some of the best food moments I used to have. Always so much food!!
Abir learned from Sonny about the tasty cheek. 😂 For a girl who wanted to be famous she is very modest and down-to-earth. I am a subscriber of her channel and I am always happy about what she cooks next.

I am from Gaziantep ( a city from southeast Turkey famous for cuisine ) and i am amazed how similar our cuisine is to Lebanese cuisine. Believe me we have a unique dish called "yuvalama" almost as same as zikal. Middle east is a weird place.
Turkey is a Middle Eastern country (West Asia). And Turks are Middle Eastern people (West Asian) which is why They have the same or similar food as other people of the Middle East (West Asia).
@@arabicmusiclady1428 No, Turks are Originally central Asian people. The reason we have dishes in common is because the Ottoman Turks ruled Lebanon for 402 years.
