- Joy Lorick, a babysitter for Timothy Jones Jr., testified in his murder trial. She said she called social services on him. Jones is accused of killing all five of his children in 2014.

People are dissing this lady because she can't remember but this trial was in 2019, she worked for him in 2014. That's 5 years. I think she was wonderful.

the sad thing about it is a lot of things like this falls on deaf ears with CPS but will go to a scorned fathers house because the child's mother is butt hurt hes moved on..... makes me sick! but i'm happy she could give those sweet babies love and care when their own father didn't.

The social services and child protection services are jokes. Evil ppl hiding in sheep skin. They claim to have training in sensitive matters like this but really dont give a fuck about serving ppl. As a nurse there is no way on this God given earth that I could not perform my job to help or serve ppl in need. They will have a very hot ride to hell but not before God really deals with them. Ppl who do wrong to children need to be swiftly wiped off the face of the earth.

There was a case in my town where the father called CPS because their mother had the kids taken because she let her pos boyfriend abuse the smallest boy..he was 2..she got them back under the condition he was not to be around(the boyfriend) the mum was pretty young the man was quite a bit older with his own daughter..course she was treated like a princess..cps took an order of protection on the baby's behalf..my friend lived above her and we worked with the mother.. and the guy was there all the time and people would call but nothing would be done..probably because of who the man was..his mother owned bond companies..one night he abused the 2 year old while the mum was at the store and he stopped breathing..they told the police he choked on a cookie..the autopsy showed he had new and old broken bones and had been hit so hard he bled to death internally..the poor baby was tortured..the mother and boyfriend went to jail she stayed in jail until trial but he was bonded out and allowed to work out of state as a truck driver for a long time..they were both finally found guilty..they were suppose to be doing wellfare checks on the child..there is much speculation the daughter of the boyfriend was involved in the murder but no one knows for sure..it is so sad and scary that so many childrens lives are in their hands..his name was Levi Beaty..the little boy..he was precious..there is a lot of info about it online.

This women did not babysit, she did way more than that, she did her absolute best to care and protect these babies. She is not a sitter....She is an absolute saint. I pray that she finds peace.

I would be proud to have this woman watch my kid. She's the kind of person who doesn't just watch a kid she LOVES them. Dear Lord we need more people like her on this Earth and we need to do everything we can to keep this kind of pain away from them.

As a social worker, I commend you for being proactive! You cared! You tried! You should not feel guilty. If you ignored this and went about your business and knew something was wrong, you would feel guilty but you should be applauded for your actions. You should consider therapy because you should be able to process this trauma in a safe place with a professional. YOU ARE A HERO! PLEASE KNOW YOU DESERVE THE BEST! GOD BLESS YOU!

And the courts can be just as bad...turning them over to people that will abuse them to protect the abusers "rights" instead of kids rights. Happens more often than people know and repercussions of those hurts and injustices after the fact. Its disgusting.
CPS harasses parents that 95% of the time don’t deserve it - meanwhile, the really abusive ones seem to move effortlessly through the CPS system ….. their cases are quickly closed OR not even opened for investigation at all. I feel like CPS is an evil entity ….. I hope one day it is dismantled and a real system to help children is put in its place. But honestly, I don’t have high expectations that will ever happen.

As sad as it is they lost their lives, it warms my heart knowing because of her they felt, saw, and knew what real love and care was because of her. She did as much as possible for them but in the end the system failed both the children and her.

I think Ms. Joy was the only one who truly loved those kids with all her heart. She was sent by God to show them what love actually is during their very short lives. You can see her heartbreak and the pain she feels for what happened. I truly hope she has comfort and peace in her life.

My battered mom found us in a very bad stage . She got us help . I can't stop crying, you are very special. I am sorry 😞 for the outcome.
Whenever a parent needs to find a baby sitter to watch after their kids, this woman is the type of person we're hoping to find. Someone genuinely kindhearted that u can fully TRUST will take care of ur kid like they're her own. She's probably the only comfort those kids ever had. I feel so bad for her. She sure seems like a loving soul. You could tell at some points she felt at such a loss. It also seems her memory is really affected by it; it's really not that long ago but she struggles to remember things around that time. Whatever it is, I hope she's okay and isn't too greatly burdened by this.she clearly cared for the children and just what was a normal day to day thing,and she became involved in this nightmare. God love her.

This must hurt you so much… As a child who grew up from 1 month old to 10 years old in a small daycare because due to my Dad having schizophrenia and my Mom worked her butt off to financially care for us I truly know the difference of a good caretaker. You tried to save these children and my parents did what they could for me too knowing they weren’t fit to raise me on their own. You are an angel and you do remind me of my daycare sitter Mrs. Eileen. She was fair, loving, firm, respectful, and ultimately loved each of us like her own grandchildren. I see that same love inside you and I thank you for everything you did. You truly are meant to care for children and I hope one day your heart can heal enough to take on little ones again. I’m actually shocked and appalled by everyone kindness towards her. If I understand correctly she didn’t report him until after she had quit and he threatened to sue her for prepaid labor she didn’t provide. She still only fed them oatmeal. I thought the babysitter would have at least cooked them a proper meal or taken a packed lunch for them. Joy stated that one of the children enjoyed helping her 'cook' What was she cooking? She sure wasn't going hungry was she.

Gut wrenching at times. She loved those children and they loved her. It was the only escape from a tyrant who they were supposed to feel safe and secure with.
She could have done a lot more to save them then she did. All she did was her job. She could have insisted that CS took them. She knew better then anyone what their lives were like. If she had any guts those kids would be alive.
