Back in the day I was huge metal head, listening especially Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, AC/DC...etc, etc but Van Halen we’re right up there in my eyes. Not only were they musically technically brilliant but their entertainment value was off the charts. Live vocals could be a bit hit and miss but cocaine, whiskey and being ADHD probably had a lot to do with that.

There were a couple of hundred cars in this huge mall parking lot and they got everyone to tune to the same FM Radio station , ( I think it was 99.0 The Fox in Vancouver ) , every car cranked their stereos and they played Panama ....... thousands of watts of power . You need to react to Van Halen's "Mean Street" and "Beautiful Girls". I think that you'd fully appreciate the vibe, sound, and feel those songs. Tremendous musicianship as always.
Jamel, PLEASE listen to Benjamin! Both of those tunes will definitely show that even though they partied hard and brought the fun to Rock And Roll, the boys can PLAY! We all know about Eddie, but Alex and Mike rounded out this tight, swinging musical force!
Pete Droge has a better song called "beautiful girls". The brutha should react to the soundtrack to "beautiful girls". Best movie ever with the best soundtrack of all time. It is a treasure trove Jamel
It truely makes my day to watch your reactions brother. You are so real. Love watching your videos. Take care of yourself always and Godbless.
After Eddies guitar, Anthony Michaels backup vocals are the most important part of VH.
I am glad you are having so much fun! I know I had fun watching these Van Halen videos way back then, and now watching you have fun watching them. Crazy fun. Just think, I was lucky enough to watch this from the time I was a teen until way into my twenties. Great reaction, Jamel!
You gotta admit - these boys knew how to have fun.
Van halen is BY FAR my most favorite band my dad introduced me to them and they made so many absolute masterpieces
Back in the day I was huge metal head, listening especially Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, AC/DC...etc, etc but Van Halen we’re right up there in my eyes. Not only were they musically technically brilliant but their entertainment value was off the charts. Diamond Dave was the ultimate loveable clown frontman and, in my humble opinion, was an amazing studio vocalist. Live vocals could be a bit hit and miss but cocaine, whiskey and being ADHD probably had a lot to do with that.
I just love watching your reactions to the music you have never seen or heard, loving the energy.
God I miss the 80's, concerts and partying all the time!
He should do a react video to Eddie Murphy doing party all the time. That would be fun
Me too..
All Van Halen concerts were filled with energy. Those guys loved jumping on the stage
RIP Eddie.
I needed this reaction vid.
Back in the 80's , I was at a Car stereo sound off . There were a couple of hundred cars in this huge mall parking lot and they got everyone to tune to the same FM Radio station , ( I think it was 99.0 The Fox in Vancouver ) , every car cranked their stereos and they played Panama ....... thousands of watts of power . Man , what a thrill . That memory still gives me goosebumps .
1:40 - Dave kicks the iPad notification out of the screen.
I just liked and subscribed. Growing up in the 80s was a blast. Fun times, great music, and a never ending party scene. We respected each other and appreciated all music. Van Halen was my favorite. Great review!!! RIP Eddie.
You should react to:
"Yankee Rose" David Lee Roth
"Crazy From The Heat" David Lee Roth
"Tobacco Road" David Lee Roth
All great songs and awesome music videos.
You should have seen it in person ! It was so totally off the wall dude ! I still love Van Halen to this day ! Been a fan since ‘78 !
Valerie Bertinelli is in this when Eddie's on the piano blowing smoke rings if U take a good look but they're divorced now.
Thanks for shaing this. From back in the day when myv was entertaining, lots of fun
Friend of mine misheard the breakdown on this. Thought he said: “Reach down, between my legs. Ease the skin back.” We all had a good laugh at his expense but now I hear it every time.
thats as bad as me thinking ZZ tops Pearl Necklace lyrics said "she wants a pair of neck lips"
Hahahahahahaaaaaa 🤣🤣😂😂😂😂 ..so gross ... 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️😆😆🤣🤣
@@tail66 hahaaaa ... OMG... this is funny af.. 😅😅
Loved seeing you dance along, lol. I can tell you had fun with this, which is absolutely the correct mood for Van Halen
The epitome of 80s rock / MTV - suggestion: David Lee Roth solo "Just A Gigolo" video, it's hilarious!
I love it when he pauses and gives us the 'You thinking what I'm thinking' look
"Was that a sword?" lol. Good stuff.
Man I enjoy watching you view these, it brings back memories, and when watching them again, you're right there with me makes it really fun!
Diamond Dave = greatest front man in the history of history.
One of the funnest videos ever! And there will never be a smile like an Eddie Van Halen smile. 🤘🤩🎶❤
0:56 You pause and look into the camera.
Me: "Yeah, you just saw that."
You laugh like you heard me.
I laugh with you.
Lol I cannot believe that I’ve only just stumbled upon your channel. I’ve been depressed for months and your channel has been so helpful. Your reactions are hilarious and you are adorable! Much love from Australia 🇦🇺❤️❤️❤️
The Legend that is Van Halen. They broke up when they hit perfection. Crazy
Love your journey of discovery...some of the cream of the cream in rock and roll
When I saw David Lee Roth on his solo tour the stage had giant inflated ladies stocking'd feet spread to each side of the stage. He surfed on a surfboard into the crowd and he had pop up devils that spit Jack Daniels out over the crowd. The man can put on a show!
Again, David Lee Roth "Just a Gigalo/I Ain't Got Nobody" DaveTV version is pure cheese and shows a lot of lookalike vids from the mid/late80s era also. Check it out and laugh!
I loved Dave's cover of Just a Giggalo . Check out the original by Lois Prima .
@@victorwaddell6530 Love all those originals. I like to play the 'originals' game with a lot of 80s British hits which were really 60s Motown hits, too
Saw Van Halen in Dallas in 1984- they did whatever the Hell they wanted to at their concerts too.. flying around.. 1000 amplifiers on the stage...
"Hot For Teacher" is a load of fun.
@Bhaskar Yadav TY .... sometimes you just type what's in your head. i changed it.
This is one of the songs where my foot gets heavier when I hear it and I’m driving. Van Halen was a great band. They were fun, they put on a great show. Eddie and Alex Van Halen are/were virtuosos at their instruments.
Ain’t talkin bout love or Jaime’s cryin’ my friend ;)
I second those. Running with the Devil as well.
He should also include "Everybody Wants Some" in that list
Ive never seen them but can you imagine how fun a Van Halen concert was? Eddie carries the whole musical virtuosity and the rest is fun fun fun.
React to THE DOORS, Roadhouse Blues... Or Janis Joplin's Maybe
They had a lot of fun on stage and loved there fans .
