I paid $300 for a crystalless JR Pro transmitter. It has a generic display like a old calculator lol. I used it all of 2 months and put it away. It has been sitting for 22 years. I have 2 Sportwerks Mayhem 1/8 nitro buggies and also a Traxxas Bandit. I just pulled it all back out now my kids are grown it's time for me to get back at it lol. I'm just going to play with them a little until I get a new buggy or truck lol. The Bandit came out in 1994. I bought that one in 2001. It had a mechanical speed controller lol.
I have a Sportwerks Mayhem RTR and a Turmoil roller I have not built yet. I really like them. I was bummed when they dropped the brand not long after. Also Have 3 Losi LST\LST2. I have my share of JR radios...lol
Lol. JR was very popular 20 ish years ago. I took both of my Mayhems and changed the chassis to the Turmoil FCG. The forward centermof gravity was supposed to give it better handling. That was about 12 or 13 years ago, and I also completely rebuilt all of the diffs and shocks and pretty much made both new except the bodies. They were the RTR as well. But I change to all of the Pro parts on both buggies. They were very fast. I paid $499 in 04' for my first Mayhem. The second I got 13 years ago off of Ebay for $150. It was a roller.
I may have ro try this one for now. I don't think my transmitter will work since the frequencies were taken for other stuff back then now they all seem to be 2.4 instead of the 80's and 80's frequencies lol.

Over all I think that something was wrong with my reciever because I don't get the performance when using it.. Is that a thing?
Yeah, wish they had external trim buttons. You can do it from the main display and the scroll wheel (don't have to go fully into the menu) but it's slightly more effort.
If you want rear steer or 4 wheel steering stay away from this radio. The 4 wheel steering on it is pretty much useless. It's very limited and doesn't work like the higher end radios. You're pretty much limited to crab walking only. I loved this radio till I tried the 4 wheel steering on my crawler, it's a deal breaker for me. It also doesn't model lock so it doesn't matter what model it's set to if you forget to change models your endpoints will be for a different model as it will control any model binded from any saved profile.

This one is supposed to be 350m, but I never test my radios that far. That's farther than I can see. Definitely not as fast as Sanwa.
The one thing that could make this radio better is if it had crawler 4ws mixing. Where one button can switch through different 4ws modes.
Is it possible to assign throttle dual rate to one of the knobs?
I have the DumboRC DX6. Compared to this, the gap is huge, and to know RadioLink is involved gives quality for affordable price
Yes, I feel more confident in the long term quality of this radio.
Own a Flysky GT5 and have some issues with receivers lately. Would you advice this one over the GT5?
Do a firmware update! The 1.1.1 has one extra feature, cruise control. Not 100 killer feature but can be useful for trail crawling.
Good radio for the money, still on my sanwa mx6 😅
Do you have any range issues with your MX-6?
The QR codes are not for a manual they're for firmware updates.
Anyway to set idle up? Tried a few mix settings but no luck.
How can I trim the steering? I don't see a nob for that
Can I adjust the steering dual rate simply or do I need to programme the steering curve?

Elechawk. Remote controlled on/off relay on Amazon.

OBRIGADO
Does this have something similar to AVC from Spektrum? Throttle, steering, braking/abs?
What about 4 wheel steering if you want to steer rear wheels looks like it would be a bugger , ill stick with my gt5
If they could mash that display with the rc6gs features that would be just about the perfect radio.
