I just realized, could you please do the lstency test again? This time with the wheel like with the others. Justvto make sure that the latency is not due to protocol prioritazion?
Unfortunately, I tried that but the deadzone on the steering is really large. It adds even more delay to the output so I abandoned it and only use the button.
But hey, if you measure it by first turning the wheel as far as it can go, abd then measure from when you let go of the wheel. That would taka care of the deadzone issue right?
@@niklaszx4011 I'll check the footage and tell you later. The wheel is not the best so there's deadzone from inside and outside but I'll check it anyway. Latency-wise you will notice the difference between this and G7P only if you use hi-speed servo. Generally it feels fine to use. Only if you use super fast stuffs beforehand that you will notice the difference.
Nice really appriciate that. Full story is that we use sanwa radios for out track stuff but for the bashers and traxxas slash we use dumbo rc (the old one). Thing is that the old one does not have epa and the kids are constantly messing with the trim nods. So im looking for a replacement. Found a deal on the ddf 350 but it needs to be fairly quick sonce we are running the slashes on a buggy track.
Been using this for a year now(just 8 months actually after checking 🤦♂️) but I don’t know and still not using the throttle and steering curve setting 🤭 does it help to control a crawler better?….received it with updated firmware CC ready but I’m still also haven’t figure it how to change the setting and control 😅.
The curve is to adjust the initial response of the control. For example you can make the steering or throttle less responsive around the centre by adjusting the curve to be more flat at the beginning. It will help if you feel that the steering is too twitchy or steer too quickly when you turn the wheel. In this case you can use the curve to make it less responsive around the centre.
Turn the transmitter off, then turn the car (or the ESC) on and then hold the bind button on the receiver until it blinks rapidly and turn the transmitter on. Once it stops blinking then it's bound to the transmitter.
This or the ddf-350 with the mt12 being a the max budget? For an ldrc 1804 with dasmikro v5 and later a driftart 4. The ldrc is in the mail for me to practice with while i wait for the da4 release. This will be my first rc ground vehicle, coming from years of using opentx on a taranis for fpv aircraft. By no means an expert, but it is what i know. Still, appreciate any opinions from an ground vehicle guy!
MT12 ELRS is the best out of these options with low latency and all. The receiver will fit DA4 if you don't use super small body 90mm wheelbase body and go with 1/24 scale model instead. DDF-350 is alright but for long-term use I'd still recommend the MT12.
@@BeaversHobby thanks for the advice! The other one I was looking at is the futaba 3pv which is just slightly more expensive than the MT12. The benefit here is that I can then use the gt55 Rx/gyro v5 combo
Rc stuff keeps getting better, cheaper. I love that
Thank you for this consise review. Ibreally apriciate the honesty and the latency test. That really sets you appart from many reviewers.
gotta love dumbo rc!
How would you stack this against the rg6s V3, the micro recievers on it are really appealing to me
Performance-wise, a bit lower than RC6GS. But it's easier to use and it has micro receiver. I'd say it's worth the price.
Minus the names they choose for their brands. At the price point theyre sold at and the functionality you cant go wrong.

I see. I was hoping this would bee as good performing as the fs-g7p. I have a bunch of receivers and was hoping to put them to good use.😢

@@BeaversHobby thank you, will just try to play with the settings.
I know its a bit off topic but I am building my k969 for rwd and I was thinking about buying a skyrc gc401 gyro, is it worth it?
What mini z receiver is compatible with this transmitter?
Unfortunately, it's not compatible with Mini-Z. But if you'll use it for any other 1/28 or 1/24 then X4FM and X4FMG (gyro version) will work great.
hello, i cant bind Tx with X4FM Rx, how i do that, pls help me

Is there a way to use it on the PC to play racing or simulator games?
You'll need an adapter like the one I showed at 00:56 . It's something like this. www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005472129206.html

They could have added a foam piece for the wheel. Lol
You have the option of a metal or foam wheel. I prefer the metal.
