@@MrStkrdknmibalz9799 Hey man, honestly even if we never win a cup with Thornton or Erik Karlsson as a fan I couldn't be more proud of Joe for what he's achieved. Say what you want but it took the Bruins almost 40 years to win a cup 🤷♂️. SJ has only been around for 28, so I say we got a few years to catch up on 😉 😂
We have seen many examples of goalies who come up to the starting job and look unstoppable because players around the NHL haven't played against them, don't know their weak spots but as soon as the shooters do, that goalie better learn to adjust his game or it's a short career in the show.
@@joshw604 *No, you silly goose. You do know the Calder is ONLY a regular season award, right? Hariz Syed He was a new goalie at the time and no one had a book on where to shoot. Notice how all his highlight packages usually feature glove/pad saves and the ones on the blocker side he usually gets his body in front of it.
@@fryeexe9726 that's what I am saying. Blocker side shots are hard for goalies to judge, high, low, inside, outside. Left handed shooters have the advantage over goalies that catch with their left block with their right, the puck is already on that side so they simply have to make a fake and shoot. The low side between the blocker and the top of the leg pad is the most difficult. They were able to exploit his weakness; his blocker side.
@@fryeexe9726 I was a goalie for a season when I was a Squirt. Basically something for my brother to rip clap bombs on. As a goalie, I struggle with the blocker side too, way lower reaction time than the glove, especially because holding the stick weighs the whole arm down. It does seem that Binnington is too stationary on his blocker side and isn't able react i time to make those saves.

Listen kids, All series his been terrible and the only reason the blues have 2 wins is because of Jake Allen. I don’t mind this guy but he’s doing terrible this series, he has about a 5.00gga and about 84.0% (save percentage) Allen has about a 2.00gga and 93.9% (save percentage).
You guys know Binnington won a cup right? Did you guys forget the Blue's 2018/19 season before the coaching and goalie change? Yeah he wasn't great in some of these recent games but no one in St Louis gets a cup ring if he doesn't get brought up in Jan last year

I think we can all agree he is the only reason St.Louis won last year. This year proved it...not a lot of players will get that nod in hockey. Ever. TSN said it before it started...INJuries will dictate who comes home with the cup this year. So far they are right.
Made him nervous because he is to emotional. Stars did it last post season also. Bennington is a phenomenal goalie however until he learns to keep his cool.....

Has more to do with team D than Binnington. Switch the teams infront in finalis and Rask has probs 4 shutouts and some hardware, but the fans throw him under the buss when bruins allowed crosscrease onetimers to the corners and couldn't lift the puck over Binningtons pads or shot at the logo. 🙄
So you saying he was just a one race horse? If that is the case that makes his Calder trophy complaint even less viable. There is a difference between confidence and being cocky and I think he has gotten humbled.
