Easyfit Tachometer (Rev Counter, Tacho) Repair Kit Fitting Instructions

These are the fitting instructions for the Clocks4Classics Tachometer Repair Kit. This kit can be used to repair the three common types of Smiths Tachometers : RV, RVI Gen 1 and RVI Gen 2. These Tachometers are used on a wide range of classic cars including Jaguar, Daimler, MG, Triumph, Sunbeam and many others. The kit replaces the rear circuit board of the tacho and is very easy to fit. No soldering is needed and there is no need to remove the needle or dial of the tacho. The new circuit board has built in push button calibration so there is no need to connect to a computer or phone. The kit will work with 4, 6, or 8 Cylinder cars and can be configured for positive or negative earth using contact breakers or electronic ignition. If your car uses a Tacho Generator to drive the Tachometer this will no longer be needed as the kit uses a signal directly from the ignition coil.

Have a 6 dial ford escort rev counter think its an RV1 ,will this modification work with a luminition electronic ignition,
