Tej steps in because he thought Jenny was, as usual, being rude. I've always found Tej to be extremely professional, regardless of what he thinks of the product or the person, he always addresses people with respect. Jenny has a chip on her shoulder, like she needs people to know she's important. Tuker does not like being questioned and huffs and puffs a lot, Deborah handles more scenarios in a very sweet and caring way but her expressions are there to make people uncomfortable. Other than Tej, I find Peter Jones to be very professional as well, a bit tough at times, but it is appropriate.
Eh. Peter can be pretty immature sometimes (like when he was fake snoring during someone's advice), but he's definitely the one to usually ask the tough questions if Debbie doesn't.

She has such a terrible habit of condemning pitchers by over-analysing minute issues that basically don't matter to the investment as a whole, and then smugly saying "I'm out." Other dragons simply state their reasons, or give advice for the future before opting out. Debra is exceptionally good at doing this. Jenny just likes to leave a sour taste in the pitcher's mouth before uttering her catch-phrase. It's not productive at all, and it's poor business. Tej was right to shut her down. Sure, the initial valuation was ambitious at best, but it wasn't outrageous like some others. No need to tear into her over it for five minutes KNOWING that you're going to opt out anyway. Think her valuation is wrong? Make a goddamn offer and see if you can budge her on it, then. That's business 101. I'm glad they kept her in the show for so long, because it gives us all something to laugh and discuss. But goddamn, she's dim.
Wish she didn't make it about Cancer, just because a study suggests an antioxidant is benificial doesn't mean tea will contain enough of it to have a therapeutic affect, nor that ingesting the antioxidant will be of therapeutic value.
I can understand referencing the perceived health value in this context as to develop the creator’s personal connection to the product, but equating antioxidants with health is unreliable. I drink quite a lot of Kombucha, because I enjoy it and believe somewhat in antioxidants, but I wouldn’t trust any tea to help alleviate symptoms.
@@peterd788 exactly. It's almost like a snake oil salesmen telling you it cures or treats cancer. In a way, the cancer part becomes a large part of why many struggling patients end up buying it. It Isn't a cure, you're giving false hope to people and taking their money. My father died of cancer, I found her marketing a spit in the face.
The bioavailability on antioxidants are also often poor. You can have all of the antioxidants in the world but it won't make any difference they don't make it into the blood stream. The entire antioxidant thing is lack of evidence. Just because something works in a lab doesn't mean it will work on your body

I worked in a packing job and we'd literally sell blueberries two a super market and a farmers market, the farmers market was labelled as organic and the price was jacked up hugely.

Gold Rose matcha can’t really be used as just a teabag. It needs to be mixed and used at a different temperature than normal tea. You need to make it in a bowl with just a bit of water and add that bowl with the mixed matcha into the full pot
She didn't claim it cures cancer, she stated facts that cancer research UK claim, which is cancer fighting antioxidants. . . . . They also claim red meat is 3rd on the list that can cause cancer. I don't see the problem with her stating that the green tea does have cancer fighting antioxidants.

£1.10 a cup of tea. Doesn’t actually sound so bad when I really enjoy my cup of tea in the morning and don’t really enjoy my £5 pint/glass of wine in a pub of an evening that I’m just drinking as one of many to get pissed.
I think she needs to make a smaller tin or sampler. But I also thought these were supposed to be international millionaires. Have they not heard of Japan? Oh no, that tea ceremony is far too complicated. It'll never catch on.
Just go to Wetherspoons & get yourself a pint of Carlsberg for £1.99. I could get two pints for less than the cost of your one. The fact they're so cheap makes the whole experience more enjoyable, especially in comparison to one of the pubs in my town where the cheapest is around £5.

Just go to Wetherspoons & get yourself a pint of Carlsberg for £1.99. I could get two pints for less than the cost of your one. The fact they're so cheap makes the whole experience more enjoyable, especially in comparison to one of the pubs in my town where the cheapest is around £5.
