Great video - I did the same procedure on my Astra G today. Unfortunately I have to pull out all by the rear section of the exhaust, I could no separate the middle section anf the catalyst when fitted in the car.
    Thanks for the video,

    Nice job mate :)
I squeeze under the car like that too, but being a little "wide" I can barely move around...and the language used while I'm under there would not suit a video hehe

Trust me mate i did swear..lol...sadly its all gotta come off again.....emissions still not right...these engines dont like stainless silencers due to fast flow

switchest26 You think, all else being the same, a 2.5" stainless catback will screw up emissions? I have the Z16XE in our Astra.

Jonas Berntsson Yes I suspect that the standard exhaust set up creates so much back pressure that the CAT has time to Catalyse the gasses...with a smooth flowing stainless..the gasses just pass right through..my CAT is mid section so it needs to be really really hot

switchest26 Mine is on the manifold, so I guess I'm slightly better off. If nothing else works, I'll have to use a standard exhaust one day a year ;)

What did it end up with? Did you figure out what caused the high emissions?
