You described the speakers in this video as coax and I ordered a pair of coax Alpine SPE-6090, Type E 6x9" 2-Way 75W RMS Speakers. I believe the ones you installed were component. Am I wrong about this. I have the JBL system and want to keep it that way. I'm wondering if I install these coax (that have a center mount tweeter) if the highs will be way to annoying. What do you think. Any input would be great. Thanks
@@jerrytaz6982 We used component speakers, link in the description of the video. We recommend component set, not just a coaxial set if you are retaining the factory JBL amp.
@@sirnoah5628 So I installed Polk DB series 6x9s in the doors and some JBL GTO series tweeters in the dash. It's definitely brighter and more crisp than stock and the soundstage seems to be about two feet higher than before. I'll get a little 8" or 10" sub installed over the next few weeks but it sounds relatively full right now. I can't believe how dinky the OEM speakers were though they didn't sound half bad.
First let me say, thank you for this series. I’m working on an install in my daughter’s 2010 Camry and these videos are invaluable. Much appreciated! I’ve got a question (or a series of questions as you’ll see later) regarding the front speaker wiring. I’ll be installing component speakers in the front as you did but the Infinity speakers I bought come with a passive crossover block as opposed to an inline crossover. This means I need to have the speaker wiring from EACH speaker (2-tweeter and 2-mid-bass) going to the crossovers (8 wires total). When I replaced the head unit I only saw 2 sets of wires (4 total) for the front left (wht&wht/blk) and front right (gry&gry/blk). Some videos I’ve watched have the 2 wires coming into the tweeter harness, paralleled through, then down to the mid’s in the doors. In your video it appears there’s only 2 wires at the tweeter wiring harness; no parallel pass through. Now, to my question(s). Are there wires that I’m not aware of? Are they split somewhere going from the head unit to the tweets and mid’s? Will I need to run a set of wires to each of the doors (mids) and leave the F/Rt. and F/Lt. going to the tweets? Should I get a set of inline crossovers for the tweets and abandon the Infinity crossover terminal block? Just trying to get some clarification on the wiring so I know what I’m up against and how I should proceed. Any opinions are appreciated. Thanks! Edit: 2010 non-JBL Camry
Hey Provo, i saw some comments below saying this version might not fit with the 2007 Toyota camry hybrid with the JBL audio system I was wondering if you knew or not please let me know!
If you had JBL, sure, you can most likely reuse the bracket. Non-JBL speakers don't have that luxury as the two don't separate and a bracket adapter is needed.
@@ProvoBeastAudio Thank you! I did end up using the new one after all. I put these speakers in the door, and new 6 x 9 in the rear deck of the former JBL system, do you think the JBL amp would still be sufficient for this? I’m not going to blast this system but wondering if you happen to know how powerful the JBL amp is?
@@ProvoBeastAudio i just wanted to say then why did the factory speaker have 4 screws holding the speaker to the bracket. i saw the screws very clearly?

Will these 6x9 speakers listed in the description also work as a replacement for the rear speakers? I want to retain stock JBL amplifier configuration.
Technically yes as the JBL line can separate, however, not everyone has JBL which is why we wanted to show the correct bracket adapter regardless of the trim level Camry.
No even close this alpines to jbl factory (((: ,the woofer very good ,the problem in volume of tweeter ,you need to put 4 ohm in series and i dont remember 2-4 uf good capacitor, thats all you have 3 inch on dashboard,1 inch never will be sound better ,maybe just in higher freq ,want to put bose cube on dash and larger inductor on woofer

03 Camry, if I’m replacing the factory JBL door and rear speakers with new JBLs w/o the small built in amplifiers, will the sound still be good?
Thanks!
Hey thanks!
Nice. I got everything ordered and will attempt to do the install tomorrow.
lmk how it sounds

Awesome video & very helpful and educational (I LIKE)
If i just wanted to put a regular 2-way or 3 way speaker in the front could I? Instead of messing with a components
