This was great. But for a strange reason. My 2009 Camry's trunk latch failed. Can't open. The dealer quoted me $1600 to replace it...which included $1000 to repair the damage that would be caused by "breaking" into the trunk. Using this video, I did it in an hour without any damage. Way thanks!!!

I ended up hooking the 2 midrange speaker wires from the harness to the new speaker and the 2 tweeter wires to the old tweeter that was originally in the car. (My tweeters were fine so I was able to reuse them). Also ordered the bracket he has in description and everything fit fairly well. Overall pretty happy with the sound. Definitely better than the blown speakers that rattled even with bass all the way down.

Usually they don't come in the standard version with an "amp".
Now if you change the standard OEM radio and you want to also upgrade the speakers, obviously you look for the speakers to suit your new after market radio/CD/DVD/amp etc...

I did this with my ‘08 Camry abt two years ago. Installed kicker 6x9s or something like that. Got it all hooked up and back together. Turned up the music, and the bass just a tad up…good lord the rattle was awful. It’s such a pain in the ass to take it all back apart I just said screw it. I put towels back there to try and muffle them but to no avail. When I say bass, I’m talking like factory setting bass. The plastic around the speakers rattle for even the smallest bump.
Shot in the dark here but is there a way to insulate the deck without ripping it all apart again? This isn’t a sub I’m talking abt. Just simple 6x9s with nothing pushing them. Lol Great video btw, subbed after seeing all your content.
I got here by watching your 4runner content. going to try and upgrade my wife’s ‘07 4Runner’s speakers, HU and amp. TIA!

I wish this came out earlier! Lol so about a year ago I tried to replace my rear blown speakers in my 2008 Camry XLE w/JBL no navigation. I had no idea about the specific wiring layout JBL requires. I tried to replace the rear spreakers with JBL GTO939 Co-Axial 6x9s. I ended up figuring out that the what to do with the 4 wires instead of the two so I soldered speaker wire in the 4 spots for each speaker and then connected them to the wiring hardness so I wouldnt mess up the harness. Well, for some reason the speakers just sound like absolute shit, volume is way lower, when bass hits its like almost a hi-pitch sound and to top it all off, the speaker adapters didnt friggin fit to where I could screw in the 4 screws each so that rattles too!! But whats weird, if I turn the stereo up pretty loud, it sounds like the speakers all of a sudden start trying to push bass out but its super distorted. Do you think this might be an amplifier issue at all? If I were to replace the amp with another factory JBL amp, would the speakers still sound like garbage? I've been wanting to ask someone about this since it all happened
