The speaker adapter in the link 82-8146 for the fronts doesn't seem to fit a 2019 Camry Hybrid LE. Some research shows it is good for Camry's 2002-2011 front only. The only adapter I could find are for the backs and it is 82-8148. For that front adapter, no matter how I configured it, the holes would not line up to the door holes. Some further research shows I'll likely have to modify the linked adapter for the fronts to make it fit.
Great video men, question any idea for the 2024 Camry XSE, i've been looking and seems to be very hard to find the adapters for the speakers and tweeters, and mine its a JBL system.👍
I loooked at Metra, dosenet look like they have anything yet Although many times the old adapter in the same generation may work for the 2024 but it won’t show in the website because they haven’t verified it yet
hello, found your video very helpful, thank you for making this. im still confused though, in the video you stated the front door speaker size was 6.5 but nothing on the rear size. i have a 2021 camry se and your help would be great, thank you
They’re 6x9 I believe. I went on Crutchfield and bought the harness for the speakers it suggests for you. Keep in mind the rear speakers are shallow mounts since it has less space. I just did mine with JBL Club 620F. Fit nicely and easily, just need to splice the wires to the speaker.
Can you use a wire harness adapter on the back door speakers on the 2018 Camry SE or just splice only that’s what crutchfield told me I had to splice not use a harness please help thank you
No wire harness adapter for the rear doors. At least not for the XSE model. Had to splice some wires, it’s easy as hell with Crutchfield’s instructions
I just got a 2022 camry SE hybrid. It has some sort of upgrade to the infotainment screen and it seems to be capable of getting quite loud. The stock speakers aren’t cutting it I don’t think. Any suggestions on what to replace the speakers with? Im incredibly ignorant with car audio but I can def swap these puppies out pretty easy it seems.
I think when i am ready i am going to upgrade the entire system. Going to run new wiring and new speakers to a new head unit. I added subs to my stock setup but the subs dont hit hard at all. If i run new wiring i can add a extra amp for the speakers.
Make sure you use a line out converter with the stock head unit, which can offset the toyota filtering for the sub. Also you want to tap the front speakers for a full signal.
I went ahead and installed a brand new head unit, 6x9 speakers in the front doors and 6.5 speakers in the rear doors and the 3 1/2s in the dash. Ran it all to a kicker 4 channel amp. Sounds amazing with the 12s in the rear. I had a lc2i hooked up before to the old factory head unit.
@@TJsVette Sound like a nice system. I installed a nice fitted sub, but am hesitating to replace the headunit, I need to find a interface that can retain the birds eye view, along with steering wheel control, I have seen 1, but it doesn't show any real world images of it installed, so I am skeptical that it will work, and can be calibrated.
They put a resistor in the line that reduces the energy of the more powerful bass/mid frequencies that will damage the speaker. In the camry, they also use the tweeter adapter as the summing point for the tweeter and door signals.
Sorry I couldn’t get that video the system I had was non jbl it was the base model. If you can leave a message on how to do it for the other viewers or leave a link to a video on where you found it that would be helpful also
Hey @@yoannavrillier2826, did you ever find how to remove the grill of the JBL subwoofer? I can’t find the info anywhere, and I really don’t want to break it trying haha. I would appreciate it a lot man, thanks.
You should always have a mounting adapter for mids to decouple the speaker from the door. Otherwise the acoustic energy of the speaker is stolen by the vibrating of the door and decreases your volume.
Please fix your audio. It’s so quiet but ads are so loud. Why not have the guy doing the work narrating, it would be far more natural and pleasant to watch
You should add this to the Toyota playlist 👍

Camry speakers are not so bad I think they do a great job. But good video for replacement
This video is super helpful. How do you remove the fixed backseat on a TRD to add a sub in the rear panel?
The harness for the front doors from Crutchfield has my positive from the after market speaker connecting to the negative (pink). What do I do?

If you want I'll make a video on my setup for the Head unit. It has the steering wheel controls and backup camera. I got everything off amazon.
do your a speaker wiring diagram for 2020 toyota Corolla se. I'm trying to install loc and remote turn on
This might be a silly question but what's the white plastic piece?
Bass blocker so the tweeter doesn’t blow.

How about Polk audio db691 6x9 in the fronts?
So both doors have same size front and rear ?
Can you please add link of speakers and the adapters I’m willing to upgrade my speakers too
The front is a 6x9 and the rear are 6.5 but Toyota used a 6 3/4 inch speaker for the front

If you buy the actual speakers for your car you don't need to buy any adapters!
People aren’t doing this to replace they’re doing it to upgrade.
@@wolffredd2664 Even upgrading, buying the proper speakers you don't need adapters!
