My friends had one of these and spilt pop on it, if i knew then what i know now
i would have been able to try and fix it, but i still sold the parts for more than he
would have gotten for it second hand just luck..Keep up the good work :)
I remember when those smaller laptops come out i got one with broken hinges
and cracked case i mainly wanted it for the screen only, crazy thing is i paid £15
for the small laptop cant remember now what it was, atom chip based i remember
that, once i done the screen job and go money from that and sold the motherboard
from it and the smaller parts i was inpocket a huge %..Crazy things like that help

Like when i was at the car boot lol i seen this angle measuring thing asked the
guy what he wanted for it he said 50p so i bought it put it on ebay and people
kept inboxing me with loads of offers for like £30 i was giggling inside, when
it finished bidding it sold for £55 turns out it was from a vintage craftsman wood
cutting machine..LOL. that is not a bad profit especially when i was struggling
at the time.

Mine too had the same problem. I didn't had
the courage or tools to do it my self, I went
to a local service center & they told me they
re-balled it it worked for around 8-9 months.
Now same problem they service it some
way and it last only 3 days, now they say
nothing to do. It's a total loss.
Now they say they can buy back full laptop
for 2000/

8:33 OH MY GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH SIR FOR SHOWING ME HOW TO TURN ON THE LAPTOP WITH SCREW. Last time my power button did not work and I find out the flex cabel is broke.
The other option is to convert it to UMA only if they are not needing the discrete graphics chip. A bit more involved for this model but definitely doable and it will never come back. :)
What does UMA mean ?
@@danielford7834 Unified memory architecture. The integrated graphics shares the same ram as the CPU so basically it's the on-board graphics.
hello, could I ask you,, the same laptop n5010,, display on external monitor by vga port, but not on hdmi or its internal screen. and LCDvdd is not appear. is it possible to ATI chip or descret, or anorther reason, you answer is very important.

Use to have this GPU heat issues but fixed it by just replaced all the thermal pad behind the heatsink which already break down. Need to flip it over.
Solution with this model is enable uma vga

HI what heat gun are you using
I had one of these n5010 15r in recently with same 8 beeps, i checked motherboard 1 of the 6 mosfet (1.5v memory) had burnt at 8:19 near heatsink back plate. I replaced mosfet, now no bleeps but still wouldn't boot tried everything. So customer just used it as doorstop.

I am getting single continuous long beeps spaced after 3 seconds each when staring laptop. Also display is black. I had by mistake started a .exe for bios update in windows.. screen went blank in the process and thereafter it never booted amd is giving me the beeps and black display. How could i fix this?

normaly used to silly things, i remember once i was dong a simple job just
helping install drivers for some old women, charged maybe £5 told her
it was ok charge was nothing, as i sat down and rebooted the machine
one of the ram modules died on me FFS that was an unlucky job..
soren: a year and a half, and this time not even taking out the board for 80 lbs. I think I would change the paste again though.

Hi Sorin, I have a Dell Inspiron N5010. It started shutting down as the fan was not starting. I opened it up and cleaned the fan. On restarting the picture started to flicker and then went blank. If I connect it to a monitor I can see the laptop is on and working. Is this likely to be a backlight issue?

The VGA balls connect with motherboard again.
