@CHU Yan Yick Lucas朱恩懌 You may not have, but several leaders have admitted that they have accepted the support from NED, which belongs to CIA. Of course, the Trump administration cut off the funds after the promulgation of the National Security Law.
@CHU Yan Yick Lucas朱恩懌 So tell me, what is unfair. Slicing cops throat is not violence? Cancel the extradition bill for the murderer? Try to be more reasonable man. HK is still under Chinese sovereignty, and there will be only 30 years left for you guys have more privilege than us.
However, the truth is that, through the historical events and records, African Americans, even as slaves, have always been carrying a spirit of manhood.
Who says it was not a government operation to provide a reason for new laws? If a man murders someone you LOCK HIM UP, no matter where the murder happened. If he murdered her on the North pole or on the moon... all Hong Kong government had to do is put him in prison. This whole extradition to Taiwan(!) law is a JOKE. Taiwan...😁😂🤣
I think this has been going on years even before that.....Hong Kong just doesn't want to be part of China cuz I already know that they're going to lose all the rights...
Brave Concepts this is where geopilitics comes into play. It very easy to function and reign into your own country, make laws as much as you want and get away with your policies. But it's rather complex and difficult to do away with international relations and economic restrictions when you need to maintain economy and power internationally.
@@polyblank1637 extradition bill basically allows HK citizens who commit a crime in China and Taiwan can be extradited back to China/Taiwan to face charges. This allows China who don't have a proper judicial system pick and choose offenders from HK and "trial" them for charges they might not have committed. On the other hand, this new security bill makes it illegal for HK citizens to do anything that "might hurt the feelings of the Chinese people" so basically censorship, no protest, no making fun of gov, etc.
I have lots of friends and family who are curious but don't understand why China's protesting. I feel our TV news is doing a poor job covering detail on this issue.

Hundreds of thousands? The one day at TWO MILLION people protesting. Total population: 7 million. 2 in 7 people were out protesting. This is unprecedented percentage of a population protesting.
there is no doubt in my mind that there were 2 million protestors on 6/16. i was there, and i walked at least 3 km, across 4 districts (quarry bay > admiralty/police headquarters). every inch i walked and saw were completely packed with people. and yet, we parted like the red sea when emergency aid was needed, eg. first aid workers or an ambulance needed to pass through, we gave them space to get there and to do their work.
orionh3000 No way. At the Chicago Cubs 2016 World Series parade in Chicago there was 5 million people (7th largest gathering of humans in known history) and this protest in Hong Kong looks to be at least 1-2 million.

@@sauceaddict9569 Democracy, in essence, is just communism-lite. My property and mine alone, it is not something that should be able to be taken from me nor should it be up for debate by a vote how much I can own. Taxation is theft and in a society of multiple self-interested groups that vote for group gains at the loss of others, it is nothing but an endless war for resources to take and conquer. People are only ever able to know and care for 150 at maximum and beyond that humans are simply a statistic, a nebulous concept. Balkanisation addresses this by breaking up these weakly held bounds and frees the populace of any responsibility of having to provide for those they are not directly related to them, be it a family member, neighbour or friend. And these small tight-knit communities are far more efficient, safe and kind. Their own individual cultures may flourish wherein a grey soulless city of millions it'd be strangled and drowned out. It's ironically the most diverse choice to let people separate themselves into communities of likeminded and interbonded social matrices.

There is a thing that is missing from the video: Taiwan had offered the Hong Kong government a one-time extradition to extradite Chan Tong Kai, the murderer, to Taiwan before the bill was proposed. However, the Hong Kong government TURNED DOWN the one-time extradition. After the bill was proposed, the president of Taiwan has announced that they would not accept this proposed extradition bill. Therefore, even the bill is passed, the murderer would not be extradite to Taiwan, hence the main aim of the bill is contradicted.
