  • I know I didn't recorded the procedure that lead me to successfully root my Bloodgood Japanese Maple (I didn't had this channel to begin with). Early next year I will make a video of what I do to propagate my cuttings. Towards the end of the video I explain exactly what I did to have success and I hope it helps you to begin your journey to propagating your Japanese Maples. Stay tune for more awesome video and more complete content. Stay nutty Maple Nutz!!!

#Maplenutz it's interesting that the cutting that didn't get roots still looked alive.

Very nice video showing both success and failure. It will be nice next year to see the entire process.

Love seeing successful cuttings 👍 they actually make great bonsai material without the tap root and roots will thicken up quickly

Nice! I'm afraid to check my cuttings, I think I'll wait until they go dormant for the winter
A good 1/3 of them have died but the rest look good. I checked a couple with swelling buds but no roots so who knows about the others. I used mix of potting soil and perlite, I will have to try all inert media next year
I think it was Mike kinkaids channel that recommended inert media for cuttings as well
    Thanks for sharing!

I learn a lot from him but I he doesn’t have one video about propagating Japanese Maples from cuttings. He does a lot of green giants arborvitae and Figs.

Do you stratify your maple seeds? If so can you make a diy video.
