i appreciated that - thank you. I recently acquired a late sixties Soviet MTO500 mirror lens - fixed aperture of f8.5 and a 550mm focal length. It's an astonishing piece of hardware in superb condition, but it also fails to perform well in most of the ways i've tried to use it. But not all.... I'll keep it because i've started to develop a love-hate relationship with it, and it fills me with a sense of occasion each time i bolt it to the tripod. i liked the range of subjects and shooting distances you presented, and also that you had it (incongruously) paired with such a fine camera. I think you illustrate that there is potential in these odd lenses, but uncovering it demands some experimentation. Thank you and all the best.
Very interesting presentation!

So happy you liked it 🙂
I love this lens, the colors are great. Use it on full frame.
Interesting. I never thought to use one on the X2D> I have the Tamron 500, just about the same. A fun and cheap lens. Thanks/tak.
Sometimes you have to do the opposite of what seems logical to get interesting results 😀
wow amazing.. what is the name of converter? is it for nikon? or sony? i want to try this combi.
Hi It's a no brand adapter, but I am making a video on my adapter setup. Stay tuned for that.
