    wiggle the comb, and sometimes for small wells, let it go and pull again. this will stop the bottom of the well from tearing. More important for smaller % agarose gels.

    How did the agarose gel solidify? It was in powdered form and was mixed with buffer. Then it was heated at 130 degree centigrade.
